Interesting...my H works shift and we both snore.
We got a bigger bed and we both wear earplugs.
He does the 4 days on 2 off 4 nights 2 off, etc.
IT's SO HARD to be normal, I don't know how he does it. I am a night person
so when he's not here I say to myself ohhhh now I can stay up all night because
he's not here and I don't want to sleep alone. The thing is I can't for the life of me
get off his night schedule. For over a month now I just don't want to go to sleep at night.

My husband and I love to be together, but most nights we do not sleep together. My husband has long appreciated the importance of proper sleep ( for him and for me). He goes to bed early and he gets up early. He leaves for work at 6:30 am. I am more of a night person. We do not disturb one another with our different schedules. Also, I have night-sweats and often toss-and-turn. Because he is in a different room in a different bed, I can go through my night-time routine when I am ready to go to bed, without disturbing him. He can get up early without disturbing me. We are very happy with this arrangement.

Well, I don't have a husband to blame my insomnia on, so will have to look at other avenues to get some sleep.

Shift work definitely is connection to poor sleep--both for the snored at and the snorer. :D I've been there, done that. But I had insomnia waaayyy before I started working shifts.

Sure wish I had a magic wand emoticon

my other half works 4 days on 4 days off,2-12h shifts,7-7days,7-7nights.i start work at 3am but get up at 1.50am its not the best situation to be in sleep wise, then on top of that,is the snoring,my other half can snore while still awake and you can hear him from down stairs.i found myself slowly moving into the spare room,a odd night here odd night there, making excuses that i was to hot or had cramp in legs etc,but just like a man he thought i didn't want to be with him and maybe something worse,so i had to tell him i just needed a nights sleep,i moved in to spare room and have never looked back,he admits he sleeps better too, than one day at work we were talking about getting sleep and was shocked to hear that out of a table of 10 only 2or3 slept with there partners.i thought it was just me.it has made a big diffrence with our relaitionship coz we are not bickering at each other over been woke up,and if we are tired it's through work and not lack of sleep,if you are thinking of changing rooms,do it you will never look back!!!!

In the past, I have always started a Diet. this time round it is going to be a Life Style change. then hopefully in my mind set things, this time round will be Positive!! I am going to set aside an hour a day to Track my Food intake and Exercise.
