I am reducing my goal from 15,000 to 10,000 due to knee and back pain. This makes a more realistic goal which I still haven't gotten back to but did do close to 8000 yesterday. When I reach the 10000 consistently I will keep this goal and try to go over each day.

With my back pain in full throttle right now (having gotten progressively worse over the past 2 weeks), I'm adjusting my goal to reflect a more realistic outcome while I continue to work on reducing the inflammation and pain. My goal this week will be 3.5K steps daily (24.5K for the week) (Blaze).

I am going to decrease my daily goal to 20,000 steps per day and my weekly goal to 140,000. I have been unable to consistently reach 25,000 steps so I need to lower expectations. I am not giving up, just re-adjusting. My goal is to continue keeping my Active Minutes above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage with my goal to walk 10 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many floors in my travels I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

I love all the activity on this thread! Welcome to each and every one of you and I hope that you accomplish your goals this week. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We were a fantastic 34 strong this past week! That is four less than last week. I continue to be amazed at your step counts, all of you should be very proud of yourselves! emoticon emoticon emoticon

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That continues to be amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 124,181 members strong! That is 230 more than last week! Compared to last week's membership increase, that is 125 less new members. We have poked our head through the 124,000 level and have our sights set on the 125,000 level. This team is truly one of a kind!!!

On the news front, the alleged new FitBit product, the Charge 3, is no longer a rumor. It has been rolled out for orders and FitBit should be fulfilling orders in October 2018. As mentioned in past weeks, the new fitness tracker no longer has a physical crown, it has a larger screen, is swim-proof, has a longer battery life, and now received multiple smart phone notifications. The device is available for pre-orders at the cost of $149.95.

I love my Ionic watch. This past week my Ionic watch's step count was 9,529 more steps than my One or 6.1% difference.

I still continue to lose more weight. I attribute my recent weight loss to a change I made in my eating habits. I love to eat and I never seem to get full. I have to make a very conscious effort to monitor my calories on a daily basis. I begin my day with a light breakfast, some milk and some type of egg sandwich. At work, I don't eat during my breaks, instead choosing to use this time for walks inside our building. I listen to podcasts or music and use my phone to catch up on emails, read, and play games. I find this is very helpful in achieving my daily step goals since I stopped attending the gym (Due to a recent lifestyle change). I drink 6-9 cups of water during the day and eat my "lunch" in the evening. I will have a small dinner later in the evening. I have been also trying to get to bed earlier so this change has definitely helped, too. All of this has resulted in a noticeable drop in my daily calories and my relationship with food. I have literally cut close to 1,000 calories on a daily basis (and sometimes have to push myself to hit 2,000 calories! This is a good change and one not certainly for everybody (or anybody in fact) but it appears to be working for me.
UPDATE: I continue with following this radical plan and it continues to work for me as I am losing more weight. I have dropped 28 pounds in the last twenty-one weeks! Also, I have done some further research into this new lifestyle of mine and think my method can be classified as fasting. Now I am not starving myself, I am merely choosing to stay away from food for a certain period of time. I am still getting all of my necessary nutrition on a daily basis. I am really loving this lifestyle.
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE
I am truly amazed at how this change in eating habits has positively affected me. I have plenty of energy, find myself sometimes "forcing" myself to eat, and getting much more sleep. While my initial foray into the healthy living world back in 2009 was life-changing, this intermittent fasting lifestyle has been life and mind-altering.

One more week in the can! This past week I took a grand total of 168,925 steps for a daily step average of 24,132 steps. I was active for 1,090 minutes this past week or an average of 155 Active Minutes per day. I traveled 84.52 miles or 12.07 miles on average per day and I climbed a grand total of 52 floors this past week. A return to busy, it was nice but hectic! I am ready to move on to next week, I hope you are, too!
