This is my first time posting to this team. I hope I'm doing it right! My goal is at least 8000 steps per day which can be hard because I have a sedentary job. I wear a Charge 2 and love it!

I am going to keep my daily goal to 27,000 steps per day and keep my weekly goal to 200,000. Due to FitBit.com not having access to the original dashboard I will now be tracking my Active Minutes. My goal is to keep it above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage and my goal is to walk 12 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We were an amazing 40 strong this past week!! That is five less than last week! We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That continues to be amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 93,808 members strong! That is 577 more than last week! That is a decrease of 49 members from last week!!! Thanks to the holiday season our numbers have continued to explode this past week and I anticipate that our numbers will continue to rise for the next several weeks. We are knee deep in the 93,000 levels and can see the 94,000 level ahead!!! Amazing!

Well I finally did it. I am the proud owner of the FitBit Flex. My daughter was kind enough to pass along one that she had won in a work raffle. This certainly would not have been the one that I would have chosen (as I don't like the fact that there is no information on the face of the device just these silly dots!) but it does provide me with reason to compare the two devices. Initially, I connected my Flex to my FitBit account but that was a mistake as my steps suffered. The flex is not very good in monitoring non-walking/running activities and, as a consequence, my steps on the Flex are anywhere from 3K to 1K less than what my One records. For some reason FitBit takes the lower step count. I quickly disconnected my Flex and instead created a new separate account for the device. I will closely monitor the weekly activity next week and provide a small report on next week's topic.

I have been battling losing the last 10-15 pounds. I found this article that talks about this issue and provides some very helpful advice:

Week 1 of my comparison between the One and Flex is done. The Flex is learning about me and the step counts were a bit more comparable to the step count of my One. Anyhow, this past week I took a grand total of 195,012 steps for a daily step average of 27,859 steps. I was active for 1,171 minutes or 167 Active Minutes per day on average. I moved 92.41 miles or a daily average of 13.20 miles and I climbed a grand total of 29 floors. On my Flex I took a grand total of 193,268 steps. By comparison the Flex recorded only 1,744 steps less than my One or 0.0089% which in my mind is a negligible difference. On to next week, I hope that you will all join me!
