My ChargeHR has almost bit the dust, it's being held together with spit and glue (not really, but it's pretty bad). I've reported to fitbit so I'm waiting to see what they will do. But it's still working for now....so still shooting for 10000 steps/day

All readings courtesy of my ChargeHR:

11/13: 10896 steps, 33 AM, 38 floors, boom!
11/14: 13256 steps, 65 AM, 16 floors, boom!
11/15: 19923 steps, 224 AM, 58 floors, boom! (since my fitbit strap broke, I'm suspicious of the active minutes reported...)
11/16: 12414 steps, 148 AM, 20 floors, boom!
11/17: 11894 steps, 131 AM, 49 floors, boom!
11/18: 11323 steps, 170 AM, 18 floors, boom!
11/19: 10380 steps, 231 AM, 61 floors, boom!

fitbit got back to me on the broken unit, and I had the option of replacement or a discount on a new unit. So I'm getting a Charge2, since I like the idea of the band being exchangeable. I will see how it looks, and will probably get another band to go with it, so I can have some flexibility in the color. Hopefully that will fix the active minute (and calorie burn) issue I'm now having!

Continuing with the 6,500 steps and 11 floors daily. The cold weather seems to make getting the steps in a bit more difficulty.

Every day I am on the verge of making slight changes that would make all the difference in my life.

One day I won't be able to do this, but today is not that day

I am going to keep my daily goal to 27,000 steps per day and keep my weekly goal to 200,000. Due to FitBit.com not having access to the original dashboard I will now be tracking my Active Minutes. My goal is to keep it above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage and my goal is to walk 12 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

OUR THREAD CONTINUES TO GROW EACH WEEK!

IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THAT OUR MEMBERS WHO JOIN THIS THREAD USE THE EDIT FEATURE ON THEIR INITIAL ENTRY.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
DOING SO WILL KEEP THIS THREAD MANAGEABLE AND ALSO MAKE IT EASIER TO TRACK EACH MEMBER'S DAILY PROGRESS.

An easy way to find your initial entry is to hold down the CTRL key and your F key. This will bring up your FIND box. Enter your SparkName and hit enter. This will take you to your first entry. Click on the EDIT MY POST button and add your steps for that day. Then just click on the POST MESSAGE button and you have edited your entry! If you have any questions/comments please send me a SparkMail. emoticon again!

A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN USING THE EDIT BUTTON WHEN YOU POST!!! I continue to be very impressed by your daily steps! emoticon

I love all the activity on this thread! Welcome to each and every one of you and I hope that you accomplish your goals this week. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We remained an incredible 33 strong this past week!! That is the exact same amount as last week! I continue to be amazed at your step counts, all of you should be very proud of yourselves! emoticon emoticon emoticon

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That continues to be amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 86,170 members strong! That is 307 more than last week! That is a decrease of 85 members from last week!!! Our numbers continue to skyrocket this past week and who knows how much more we will grow at the amazing pace of the past ten months! We are have pierced the 86,000 level and are headed toward the 87,000 mark!!!
emoticon Holy moley!

emoticon Welcome to all of our new team members and thank you for joining our weekly steps goal!!!

Time. We all wish that we had more of it. Working out is a priority for me. My path to success included understanding that my health was a priority for me. If I was going to live a longer, healthier life then I needed to set priorities. While some may interpret this as being selfish I look at it as being good to yourself. If you are not worth 30-60 minutes per day of ME time then perhaps it might be time to evaluate just what you want out of life. I want to be healthier and be there for my wife and children. The ME time is for me but it will benefit my loved ones, too.

Here is an link to an excellent article that talks about finding time for exercise:

2016 continues to be huge! Our membership has increased over 31,544 members these past forty weeks! That represents a membership gain of over 36.61% since the beginning of 2016! FitBit has introduced the Charge 2 (which now incorporates a heart monitoring function) and the Flex 2 (which is waterproof!). Will you be looking to replace your FitBit tracker with the newest member of the FitBit family?

In the USA, Daylight Savings Time ended this week. That extra hour of sleep certainly does a body good. It certainly will be nice to once again leave for work in the daylight! Some people are greatly affected by this transition. Here is an excellent article that talks about these issues and provides advice on how to deal with them:
