My goal is 10,000 steps a day on average. Some days are more than others, but I'm hoping to average 70,000 for the week.

Sunday - 9,834
Monday - 14,012

So I'm averaging 9,678 steps a day. Gonna have to up it to make my goal!

my goal this week is to increase my sleep hours per my flex. i have gone from 2 hrs and 15 minutes for 2 nights in a row to 3 hrs and 20 minutes last night. i need to get more actual sleep, rather than being "awake" and "restless" most of the night.

I've been MIA for a month with a fractured foot. I've got a walking cast and I just want to see how many steps I can get in a week. I'm gonna try for 45,000 steps a week and just see what happens.

My goal is 100,000 steps. Last week I was close but I let the weather and my depression get the best of me. I am a recent widow and still exhausted from grief. I know walking helps. The Fitbit helps me remember that I need to do this.

Thanks for keeping this going, Raúl!
I did great last week with my total exceeding 98,000 steps for the week. Realistically, I probably won't reach that level this week. My minimum daily step goal remains at 11,000. I'm going to pay closer attention to my very active minutes each day as well.

Increasing daily average goal from 9000 to 9250 for a weekly step goal of 64750. This will be a challenge for me this week as we will be getting ready for and making a trip the end of this week. I will stick with this goal for 2 weeks.

10/5 - 6271 - rest day goal (5000)
10/6 - 10437
10/7 - 12112

10/8 - 4865
Heading out of town tonight. Hoping to keep up! -- Didn't get to go on our trip. I wound up sick with a respiratory virus. Very bummed that we did not get to go see our kids. My steps are way low as I am on the mend.

10/9 - 2472
10/10 - 1801
10/11 - 5189

Total: 43147 / 64750

Since I exceeded my goal of 15,000 steps a day last week (amazing what setting a goal combined with excellent weather does for my walking) I'm going to increase that goal to 20,000 a day for 6 days with a rest day of 5000 for a total of 125,000 steps a day and 60 VAMs a day.

Hello All--

Actual daily average from last week was 7031. I'm frankly mystified as to how how I made it that high as I had set an average goal of 6300. Perhaps busier than I thought based on how tired I am this weekend.

I've decided to increase my daily average goal to 6500. I want to set myself up for success as much as possible and not jump from 6300 to 7000.

You will notice that I am also keeping track of my weekly steps for a monthly total. It is all part of a plan to track monthly steps and challenge myself to increase my monthly step by "just one" each month.

10/05--5390 (5390/6500)
10/06--5656 (11046/13000)
10/07--4712 (15758/19500)
10/08--5339 (21097/26000)
10/09--3434 (24531/32500)
10/10--5232 (29763/39000)
10/11--4641 (34404/45500)

Daily average: 4915 Very difficult week. The only thing that keeps me tracking is that monthly push.

October 1st week....29,959...18% of August steps
October 2nd week...34,404...38% of August steps

My goal for this week will be to continue for 60,000. Having to take the walking inside for the forecast is 3 days of rain. emoticon

So glad I joined this team..this is exactly what I need. I've gotten lazy and my numbers have dipped below 10,000 per day, so my goal this week is 10,000 steps a day!

I am going to keep my daily goal to 27,000 steps per day and keep my weekly goal to 200,000. I will now track my total Active Time. My goal is to keep it above 7 hours daily. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

emoticon Back!!!

Our thread continues to grow each week. emoticon IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THAT OUR MEMBERS WHO JOIN THIS THREAD USE THE EDIT FEATURE ON THEIR INITIAL ENTRY. emoticon Doing so will keep this thread manageable and also make it easier to track each member's daily progress.

An easy way to find your initial entry is to hold down the CTRL key and your F key. This will bring up your FIND box. Enter your SparkName and hit enter. This will take you to your first entry. Click on the EDIT MY POST button and add your steps for that day. Then just click on the POST MESSAGE button and you have edited your entry! If you have any questions/comments please send me a SparkMail. emoticon again!

A BIG thank you to all of you that have been using the EDIT button when you post. I continue to be very impressed by your daily steps! emoticon

I love all the activity on this thread! Welcome to each and every one of you and I hope that you accomplish your goals this week. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We were 30 strong this past week!! I continue to be amazed at your step counts, all of you should be very proud of yourselves!
emoticon emoticon emoticon

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That is amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at 28,446 members strong! That is 317 more than last week! That is a slightly bigger increase than last week!! emoticon Wow!

emoticon Welcome to all of our new team members and thank you for joining our weekly steps goal!!!

I am going to run with this comment for another week....
(Stepping up to my soap box....)
I have read a few comments on the message board from team members concerned that FitBit is sending over too many activity minutes to their SparkPeople Fitness Page. I respond to these posts by pointing out that FB syncs over FAIRLY ACTIVE and VERY ACTIVE minutes. These are periods of sustained activity (approximately 15 minutes) where (in my case) more than 500 steps are taken (MODERATELY ACTIVE) or more than 2,000 steps are taken (VERY ACTIVE) are registered by your FB. While all of these periods may not be "exercise" by definition they are periods of sustained movement and consequently result in a higher burned calorie rate. I point out that this is the beauty of this wonderful device. Not only does it count steps but it provides a wonderful picture of the amount of calories your are burning on a daily basis as a result of your whole day's activity. I realize this may be thought as "cheating" but it really is not. You are moving, you are burning calories, and that is an important component of losing weight/maintaining a weight loss.
(OK, stepping off my soap box!)

-Thanks again for joining this goal! Good luck in achieving them this week! Who will join me!!!

10/05: 39,426 (VAM: 61-Active Time: 9:50-Floors: 0)

10/11: 25,559 (VAM: 77-Active Time: 7:14-Floors: 1)

One more week in the can! This past week I took a total of 22,6,12 steps for a daily average step count of 32,302 steps. My total VAMs were 511 or 73 VAMs per day. I was active for 53:28 hours for a daily average of 7:38 hours per day and I climbed a total of 30 floors. I am ready to begin next week, are you?!
