My goal is to reorganize the kitchen and make it diet freindly.
Plan healthy meals that include breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack, instead of just dinner and a bunch of junk.
Replace the junk with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Plan meals for the whole week within a budget.

I am joining this challenge to get back in the habit of planning my weekly menus dinner and STICKING to them. I do like to throw a freebie day into the mix just incase we have a lot of leftovers or something comes up but every now and then it becomes freebie 4 days of the week and that's not so good.

I'd also like to make sure that I plan in at LEAST 1 vegetarian dinner meal in per week.

I also need to start planning what I will do for my own breakfast and lunch.

The last thing is I want to try to get into the habit of either using Spark Recipes themselves or making sure to enter in my own recipes into the database. Sometimes I just don't track things because it can be time consuming to have to enter in each and every little thing. I'm going to try to be better about that! I suspect eventually I'll have enough of my own repeat recipes on the list that it won't be such an issue!

My goal for this challenge is to use my Weight Watcher's cookbook more to incorporate more exciting healthy meals for my family. Having 2 teenagers that would prefer to eat cereal instead of a sit down meal is a challenge in itself and if I can find meals that offer vegetables (not just the vegetable pasta I use) and more fruits-it would help me just as well. I am only able to grocery shop 1 time a month and I have tried to purchase fresh everything at once but it usually goes to waste.
My goals are:
Sit down meals with girls at least 2 times a week
More vegetables and fruits throughout the day
Incorporate recipes that use more chicken, salads and less meats = BALANCE
Try to set aside money so I can shop more than one time a month and .ability to purchase fresh fruits

My goals for this challenge are:
* Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen
* Eat at restaurants no more than twice a week/prepare more meals at home
* Incorporate more vegetables and fruits into our meals
* Only allow homemade sweets, if necessary. No more quick temptations!

My guy and I are both serious about eating healthier, so I feel supported as I make these changes. Hopefully I find a few new healthy recipes along the way!

I joined this team to strengthen my determination to stay on a healthy lifestyle and not get of track. My goal this week is not to succumb to the tempations of all the bake sales I bake for. Wednesday and Thursday will have me making brownies, cookies and pastries. It will be hard because I believe I make the best. So I will keep you posted.

my goal for this week is to make my lunches before I go to bed, rather than rushing to put something together when I wake up before school. That way I have more time to put effort and thought into what I make, and it can be something healthy (and perhaps a new and exciting recipe)!

I joined this challenge because I really like cooking. :)

My goals for this week are:

1.) To cook dinner and pack breakfast/lunch most days of the week.
2.) Incorporate more vegetable based protein sources into my diet.
3.) More leafy greens! I do not eat nearly enough salad.
4.) Clear all of those boxed "helper" dinners, macaroni and cheese, and food I won't/shouldn't eat out of the pantry.

My goals are to try to find healthier alternatives for my kids to eat. My husband and I are vegetarians so I also am interested in finding new recipes to interest us. If these two goals could coincide that would be great. Making 2 or 3 different meals is hard.

My goals are to
1) PLAN out my meals in advance - I used to do this, guess I just got lazy. It certainly makes grocery shopping easier.
2) Cook at least 4 meals at home - currently I MIGHT do 2 and have to scramble to find what I need. With planning ahead it should be easier and everything I need will be here!
3) Utilize more vegetables in my meal planning. I'm doing pretty good on my meals except just am not getting enough vegetables planned in.
4) Makeover my kitchen

I did fairly well with the kitchen makeover bit, but I struggle to sit down and create the week's plan like I know I need to do. So I'm making this week one again and going to focus on making a plan and sticking to it.

I'm decent at cooking and finding new things to cook. But I'm horrible at meal planning and when I do plan -- I'm horrible at actually cooking meals. On most weeks we only cook about 3 times and eat out rest of the time.

My goal is to cook at least 5 healthy and balanced meals a week and hopefully learn more techniques to plan a head to make cooking easier after long days at work!

I'm am trying at least one new recipe a week. Yesterday, I made and ate a black bean burger for the first time. :) Loved it!
I am also incorporating more vegetables in my meals. The food processor is my new best friend. I have a minimum of five servings, but am working toward eight or more.
My third goal is to recycle leftovers into a new meal, instead of letting them go to waste.

I'm looking to create some "interesting" meals by going through my pantry and freezer, to make use of things I already have. Hope to rescue some veggies from freezer-burn. Looking forward to visiting my son and getting some of his abundant crop of tomatoes, and putting some of them in the freezer for soups later. Plan to visit a farmer's market for some current produce, and make a fresh vegeatble quiche:)

As an overall goal, I plan to put quite a bit of healthy dishes in the freezer for days when I don't want to cook.

Just so the following challenge makes sense: I eat every 2-3 hours because I find I stay on track much better when I don't have long stretches in between. So I just call them all mini-meals instead of meals and snacks. The term snack connotes eating something I shouldn't, so I changed the term for my own benefit.

Challenge goal for week one: Each day I will-
Eat at least 2 fruits and/or vegetables at 3 mini meals along with at least one at the other 2 or 3 mini-meals.

I started today and I'm actually enjoying it.
