I slept very, very poorly last night. I am really tired now...and I don't know how I'm going to get through the day at work. It was such a bad sleep that I feel all emotional and frustrated.

Hopefully I'll get through the day without too much trouble...

I got home around 10, was very sleepy so almost nodded off. That has been a big problem for me - I would fall asleep at 9 or 10, wake up at 11 and stay awake until 1AM or later. In the last three days, however, I was able to avoid that late nap and got to bed before midnight.

Slept well, but woke up at 5:30 and took a while to fall back asleep. Woke up again at 7:30.

I had some trouble falling asleep, which isn't typical. After falling asleep, I pretty much slept through the night, which isn't typical either. I've started taking melatonin at bedtime and it seems to be helping me to sustain the sleep.

I kind of cheated on my goals, picking journaling which I am doing here and going to bed on time every night, which I pretty well do anyway. I have been on allergy meds and slept pretty well this week, but did lay there about 1.5 hours last night before I finally fell asleep.

My goals for week 1:
1. Start a sleep journal. I started one and will continue.
2. Go to bed at 11 and read and meditate, asleep by midnight. Did not go to bed ontime but get at least 8 hours sleep. Meditated every night for 10 minutes.
3. Up at 8 to start the day. Did not get up at 8, need to improve.
4. No computer after 10. Did turn off computer at 10 pm.
All in all I at least improved somewhat, need to try harder. I am also fighting a head cold.

I am prepared to go anywhere, provided it be forward. David Livingstone

To be honest - haven't really begun all I should on this team - Haven't found time to read the material yet - but Have printed the journal stuff. I am trying to be more alert as to pre-sleep activities - and whether I sleep well or not. I have noticed- whether I do my sp strength training right before bed or two hours -doesn't seem to make a difference yet. But for 3 nights I had hot cocoa made w/ vanilla soy milk and slept well also had a stress level B complex. Last night no cocoa and forgot the B and here I am up at 3:15 visiting SP.
Popped a B complex and made a smaller mug of hot cocoa and am going to head to bed to see if it helps me with the next 2 and a half hours.

surprisingly I did sleep well last night, from around 11 to 9:30 I went back to the higher dose on medication so that might account for it. right now I am very sleepy and would love to take a nap with my hubby, but know I won't sleep tonight if I do!

Even after getting some bad news about Mom's tests, I was so beat -- went to sleep sometime after 10:00, only got up once, then woke up at 7:00. Pretty rested, too. A good step forward.

I didn't have any caffeine yesterday. No sugar and I seem to have slept a tiny bit better. I'm say 5%. I still can't get more then 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours straight sleep. I woke up 3- 4 times last night. I need to work on the hour of wind down time for the night. I'd be so happy to get 4-5 hours straight right now. I'm hoping for 7!

I slept from 10:00 until 1:00, when I got up for a potty break. Then it was fitful sleep until my 5:15 alarm. I'm keeping my sleep journal, but I'm not finding it particularly enlightening.

I have been having a lot of trouble sleeping due to pain, I wake up constantly, all through the night, of late I haven't had a full nights sleep, and seem to be sleeping for a hr or so in the afternoon, I try not to, but alas I fall asleep anyway lol!

I think I missed a day/night. Can't remember. Oh well, will get back on track. Went to sleep about 10:30 - early for me - then woke up about 2 or 3 - can't remember now - stayed awake awhile - unusual for me. Things going through my head - Mom went home last night with pain meds. We'll see what the lab report says early next week.

I have no problem falling asleep it's staying asleep. I just joined this group yesterday. So I've started my sleep log. Last night I went to bed around 11. I set my alarm for 6. It was sooooo hard getting up. I woke up at midnight. Fell back to sleep until about 2:30. Was in and out of sleep until 5. Then just as I was falling back to sleep the alarm went off! I probably got 3-4 hours of sleep. NOT enough!! So glad to have found this group!

Actually, had a long sleep last night. I was asleep at 11pm and only got up once for a potty break. I woke at 6am with my husband before he went to work and went back to bed at 7:15am and didn't wake up until 11: 55. I am getting a cold so I think that is why I slept so long, I don't usually sleep for such a long time. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Slept well between bathroom runs - don't think that will change. Have Stage 3 Renal Failure and have gotten up in the night at least 2-3 times since I was a little kid. But really did get about 7 hours of sleep. Pretty restful considering the stress level because Mom's in hospital.

At first I couldn't fall asleep, I was hearing every little noise. Then I remembered my trusty little soothing sounds machine and drug it out of a drawer. I got 6 hours of decent sleep. I wonder what ever made me put the machine away in the first place?

Got 6 hours 15 minutes but the only long stretch was 2 hours 29 minutes. Everything else ranged from a minimum of 7 minutes to a maximum of 54 minutes. Very frustrating and I was exhausted today. Heading to bed in the next 10 minutes.

I was reading before sleeping. Turned out the light at 10:30, but did not immediately fall asleep. I turned on the light and went back to my reading. I slept well for several hours, but then was awake for long periods. I was awake before the alarm went off at 5:15.

Actually went to sleep by 11:00 -- actually slept about 2 hours at a time in-between only 2 bathroom runs and a couple more hours after the last one. Woke up about 5:30 and took thyroid med and went back to sleep for another hour. Was on my feet a lot yesterday, fibro is better in rain - pain only about a 3, and rested pretty well. Onward --

Another rough night. I called the doctor, knowing from an older sleep study that I have moderate sleep apnea, and asked if I could get a cpap. They may have me do the sleep study over again. I hate that- sleeping in another bed and all.
