I'm looking forward to this challenge. Due to life situations I stopped working out about 6 weeks ago. This challenge doesn't require a lot of time so it should be easy to maintain. Good luck to you all.

My goal this week is to do all the bootcamp videos and 30 minutes of cardio 5 days. I want to lose 5 lbs this month.

My goal this week is to stay committed and to actually do cardio exercises. Physically, it's sort of hard to do anything with enough intensity to raise my heart rate.

This is part of my Spark Coach Spark Diet Program so I am just here to do what is part of the program and reap the benefits from it. I do like to exercise but lately I have been under the weather and struggling to workout as I need to. Now, that I am feeling better, I want to pick up where I left off.

I got way off track this past year, gained 30 lbs back of 50 that I had lost a few years ago. So disappointed in myself that I've had a hard time turning my attitude back around again. Come to find out, my 11 yr old gained 20 lbs this year too, putting him at 160 lbs. That was my lowest point, realizing that my lack of a healthier positive attitude in getting back to basics was hurting him too. I've had him enrolled in basketball, soccer, and he roller skates once a week. I hide my high sugar snacks from him, so have really been in denial about him gaining, until I saw it on the scale. I work on the computer all day, and if I let him, he would be on it all day playing too. I'm wanting the Week 1 Bootcamp Workout Challenge to be my first step to help get the lazy out of my butt again; less tv and computer time, less desire to eat out, and help regain my positive self image again. If my son will join me, I will be ecstatic, but I don't want to force him and have it be something that becomes a sore spot. I'm taking it slow, and I need to remember this is my goal, not his. I think if my own attitude towards food and exercise can be turned around again, he'll see that daily life is more positive in general when we do take better care of ourselves, and he's getting to the age where I think he'll recognize just how much these little changes can make the world of difference. So I'm hoping my changes will spark the desire in him to do the same. emoticon

I just finished the Spring into Shape Bootcamp and was able to increase my cardio to 40 minutes on Friday so I will keep that up this week. Also I would like to work toward being able to complete the videos twice through. Time has been against me and this week I finally have more free time. Improving strength and endurance is always slow for me but I am determined to improve these two areas.

The race is not to the swift, but to the one who endures to the end.

My goals for the first week are simply to follow the plan. I think I won't have a problem doing the videos each day as I can do those over lunch at work. The tricky part for me will be the additional 30 minutes of cardio 5 days per week. I'm going to start off strong and get it in tomorrow no matter what to start my week off strong! My hopes are that I can wake up early and get the 30 minute workout in before my day even starts. I'm completely useless once I get home from work :)

I have gone in and out of being healthy. I have been at least 20 pounds over my realistic "happy" weight for about 2 years now and I am ready to change. The exercises I used to be able to do are too hard for me right now so my goal for this week is to stick to the goals of this program in order to start this program strong.

My goal for this week is to do a daily workout everyday. I move around a lot every day but, I want to stop using that as an excuse as to why I do not need to do a structured work out. Moving is great but, getting that structured workout in is better. I am going to succeed. Here I go!

My goal is: movement and earning the 28-Day Bootcamp trophy!

At age 52, if I don't move, the scale doesn't move. Without some sort of plan to follow and without some accountability, exercise is NOT going to happen. Arthritis in my feet makes walking painful, so today, I am going to buy an exercise bike. I'm ready for this challenge!

One of the few things I can control is what goes into my mouth and how much/often I move my body. I like being in control!

I signed up for this challenge about 2 weeks ago. and have not completed the first video. I am a single mother, have to find the time to work out. How does one make the time. I really want to do this challenge. Can anyone help me with motivation? I have lost 6 lbs, by eating right and going to my classes. I just have to stay on track and not get derailed so easily.

My goal is to finish my toning workouts each day. To tell you the truth, I still can't keep up with Nicole, but I am trying my best. When it gets too much for me, I still try to keep going anyway even though I can't do it at the pace Nicole is.
I will walk at least 10 minutes every day and add 5 minutes more for 5 days a week.

Of course I still want to continue my regular nutrition plan: 8 glasses of water and between 1200 and 1550 calories a day.

I'm sticking with simple goals for this first week.

1) Complete the bootcamp exercise each day.
2) Drink 8 glasses of water daily.
3) Walk 6000 steps daily.

Once I achieve these goals reliably, I'll consider increasing my challgenge!

Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. Plato

Day 1: Did 1st video; hard for me but did it at a low impact intensity and made it through

Started SP 1/1/14 and have been doing at least 10 minutes of cardio a day every day (either walking briskly with dog or the low impact 12 minute cardio sp video); it wasn't until the last week of January that I started tracking food and staying in calorie range (4x per week so far); before then I was setting up shop and preparing for success (based mostly on "The Spark")

With just this 10 minutes a day exercise streak and 4 days of staying in calorie range all month I lost 8 pound in January and feel a lot better emoticon

Goals for the week:
-- complete all videos (I got the dumbells today)
-- 10 minutes of cardio a day at least (since video today was cardio, this counts for today)
-- continue my food and motivation goals and streaks

Overall goal for the 28 days: to complete the whole challenge but then allow myself to go back to 10 minutes of exercise a day if I can't sustain the workouts I will be doing in February (I am hoping that it "takes" though and that I want to continue)

Feb. 1st. This is the start of my 28 day boot camp. I got the video so I can be more focused. I will follow the program and hope to be in better health because of it. I restarted sparkpeople program after being away for 6 years and put the 60 pounds I lost back on. This time I started the day before Thanksgiving and have lost 23 pounds so far. At this point my exercise has been walking nightly at work during my break and 3 or more miles with the Leslie Sanson WATP videos. With very little toning and weight training. I am hoping that this video will help me to focus some of my time into toning up.

My goals are to continue with my walking and cardio exercise but to add on the toning each day. I have tried to drink more water but my body doesn't like it. The more water I drink the more I have to be in the ladies room. My boss doesn't like this eighter. I work 10 to 12 hour days, 6 days a week. I do track all my meals and snacks already and I will continue to do so.

This is going to be a big challenge for me and that's what I need to keep going! I'll do my fist day when I wake up today. Right now I'm in work. Good luck to all. We can do this. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I joined this challenge to get more intense work out ideas. I feel that I am not pushing myself to do what I can and I hope by joining this program I can get more idea's.

Goal:

Exercise a minimum of 20 minutes every day
Drink 5-7 glasses of water daily
Track every bite, taste, meal I have and stay within my nutrition.
Try to do the exercise without fear. Trying is better then not doing.
This week will be about planning meals and exercise without giving up family time (learning to juggle both better).

I'm starting on February 1, 2014. My goals for the first week are to increase my water intake to the recommended 8 cups per day and to exercise each day for at least 60 minutes.
