Week 1 Goals

-Exercise once a day
-Drink at least 2 glasses of water a day
-Make lunch at home at least 3 times a week (I'm notorious for eating out at lunch time)
-Eat breakfast (I rarely eat breakfast)

Starting with small goals that should be easily achievable... Hopefully little by little I can work toward healthier habits...

That's a good way to do it Ljambor. Modify what you need to and take your time. That's the way to stay uninjured and still get stronger!

I just wanted to post here again and tell all you Week 1 folks that emoticon . This was the 3rd time I've started this challenge and I finally finished it yesterday!! If I can get through it you can too! Stay strong and remember you are doing this for your health! Go You!

I find the best thing to do is to commit to a time to do the DVD example first thing in the morning. And don't let anything stop you. Each day you do it in a row will build momentum.....

My Week 1 Goals:
-Do at least 10 minutes a day of cardio
-Do at least 1 toning exercise a day
-Drink 8 glasses of water a day
-Eat 5 fruits/veggies a day
-DONT DRINK KOOL-AID (this is probably the main reason I gained so much weight)

Starting small this week. Hopefully I will hit all of these and next week I can add some more minutes to the exercising!

I am starting in the middle of the week, just because. My goals this week are:

1. Track all my food intake
2. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
3. Complete all the cardio and videos recommended in the challenge

I'm trying to start small so that I don't get overwhelmed and give up. That's why I only have these three goals.

Not looking for an overnight change by the end of week one. BUT I am hoping to see that:

1: I have gotten in the routine of the videos to where it becomes habit.
2: That I am adjusting to the point of getting familiar with the vids, but not so much that my body doesn't react to the workouts anymore.

Aside from my long term goal to lose 100 lbs. My goal for the week is to work out for 1 hour EVERY morning, and NOT to consume ANY sugar or flour. (I'm addicted to these.) Also to consume more fresh produce and more protein and calcium. To drink at least 1 gallon of water per day and to limit my coffee intake to only 2 cups per day. I'm really excited to be off to a good start. I bought the Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition Boot Camp video at WalMart and my husband and I went to the sawpmeet yesterday and bought a Gold's Gym Eliptical trainer for $45! I had a GREAT workout this morning!

I wanted to complete week one without skipping any days. I did miss a day, but made it up with an extra toning video and the last day doing 30 minutes of cardio. Now that I have a treadmill I enjoy walking/ jogging. Today I was able to jog for 25 minutes at 3-4 mph and walk at 3 mph for warm-up and cool-down. This week has been challenging due to scheduling, but I think next week should be even better. I lost about 2 pounds from the beginning of the week until this morning.

Made it through week 1. I did have to make up a couple of the toning videos on other days. I walked at least 30 minutes for six of the days. Just want to keep this up next week!

I decided to take small steps and not to set unachivable goals. So. My first goal in this challenge is to complete week 1. No excuses. The second small goal is to keep myself away from the scale for a week. I used to weigh myself every day and it just made me frustrated and unmotivated. So, I want to work the whole week to get (hopefully) a reward - lost kilograms.

The only way to finish your workout is to start...

Hello all my name is Shay! I completed this challenge 4 years ago for new years and lost 50 pounds! So I am trying it again and hoping for the same success. My only goal this 4 weeks is to get my exercise in everyday and to get at least 5000 steps in on my tracker. Good luck everyone!

Hi gang! I started this challenge (again) today. I am just finishing up a plank challenge with my sisters so I thought I better get another challenge on board. This time I really, really, am going to finish! It might be challenging some days with homeschooling my 7 year old and supervising the play of my other 2 and 3 year old children but I'm doing it!

Week 1 here I come!

Well I made it through the holidays, not so gracefully. The good news, I did not gain any weight. Now to getting back on track and being accountable. I joined this challenge awhile ago and fell off the wagon. I am ready to restart and complete this challenge. My goals are to eat healthier for life and include exercise daily.
My problem in the past with trying to stay accountable and on track was that my fiance wasn't so encouraging. Now he is wanting to get healthier so it will be easier for me to eat healthy on a day to day basis.

PNORTHCUT22- do what you can for exercises even a 5 minute one is better than nothing or do exercises while cooking do squats when you reach into a draw or oven, for something,
or if there is some thing higher up turn that into a over head press / reach, ect...
there is a lot of ways you can work exercises into regular house work .
same way with house cleaning , dance with your broom or mop , lol
the church part well I would say just be you emoticon

you can do this

TERRALOVE- that is true if you get up and do them right away and let nothing distract you I do all mine between hours of 6a.m - noon it don't always take that long but it does depend on how much I feel like doing that day or how many different teams I do .

I'm trying to do my workouts earlier in the day. I feel like there are fewer excuses in the am than pm.

Lucky you I have to face that every morning hubby loves them for breakfast and lunches and snacks and supper or when ever time strikes. then I have to either go get them or have them here .
today was not a good day for rolls but did get coffee cut done to 3 cups ,
went to store and got slugs of different kinds of teas that should do it.
