My goals is to think positive thoughts about myself and place importance on me. I want to return to a healthy weight with exercise and healthy eating. My greatest challenge will be how I think of myself.
GOALS WILL GIVE MY LIFE DIRECTION. If I commit to myself and write these goals down then they will remind me each day what I have to do. Obstacles will occur but I can handle them, and need to remind myself to live one day at a time and in the present. emoticon

I have 4 boys :) My baby just turned 35 (years not months) lol!! I've never had a weight problem until I hit 50. Now I need to loose the #s that have crept up on me.

Exercise DAILY-that is something that has changed-I was an exercise instructor, but exercised regularly even after I let someone else take the classes.

Track daily food intake-I eat very healthily but need to track for variety sake. I have a tendency to get in a rut.

My plan.. as I just did... is work into the boot camp video sets of a certain muscle group. Today I did three sets of shoulder work as well as abs and back work- I feel great!

I stretched and now I am off for a great post workout snack!

Best to all,

D

I am joining because I know this is my year and I have set goals for myself but instead of keeping them in my head I have written them down and well now I am going to share them with the group!

1. I want to look and feel better overall (I want to be proud of myself!)

2. I want to have a healthier and better lifestyle and make good choices for me and be the example my kids need!!

3. I also plan on running the marathon in Richmond VA on Novemeber 12th 2011!!

So those are my three big goals. I do have time to do them and I know that I will accompolish them. I have also joined a 12-week program with my gym that starts on the 15th of Jan. I am just so determined to make this happen this time and want to do all I can to be the best I can!!! Look forward to all the support from all my spark friends!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

My goal is to get back on track with healthy lifestyle habits and weight loss. This fall I abandoned almost all the healthy habits I had developed over the year. As a result, my clothes are tight and I feel lousy. I hope this bootcamp will keep me accountable and provide the structure I need to get back on track without getting injured and discouraged. Here's to a healthy and happy new year!!!

Challenge Goals:

Tone up
Have Fun
Get back into the swing of a 5 day a week workout. Currently I'm only running 3 days a week.

I hit my goal weight in 2009 and kept it off all of 2010, but I still want to drop 10 pounds. And get stronger and leaner.

I'm a RUNNER GIRL and most days I Run For My Life!

As a dietetic student, I tend to think of nutrition from a scientific view point. Not in a "fad diet" or pseudoscience kind of way.

I'm setting short term goals for this challenge, since my long term ones include an 80# weight loss. So for this challenge, my goals are to find exercises that will not bother my sore ankle, track my food intake so I can see where it needs improvement, and lose at least 5# during this challenge.

My weight loss goals are pretty general for the year. Rather than focusing on numbers, I just want to tone up. To do this, I've registered for a 5k in March so I'm going to start training for it next week. Other than training for that, I'm going to do weight training/crosstraining to help me tone up.

I wanted to join the challenge so I would have a great start to 2011. They say it takes 66 days to form a habit. Hopefully, this challenge will get me through the first 28.

I've been being a bit slack about some of my healthy eating, so I need to get back to that, and I think tracking my food again will help. I've been keeping up on the exercising, but not tracking it. I just need to get rid of the 5 pounds that have crept back on in the last few months, and thought this challenge would be a good way to get back into it.

Why I joined this challenge? I REstarted SP Aug 30,2010, and have lost 24# - then got stuck. Have been within a pound or two of my current weight for about 2 months now. I really want to finish what I started and reach my goal weight of 145 by my birthday June 11! I joined a 28 day bootcamp a year or two ago, and never finished (see a pattern here?) So, when I saw the blog/article about a new challenge, (with prizes!),I decided to jump back in.

My goals: To complete the challenge this time: Do the bootcamp video daily, with an additional 10 min cardio every day. Exercise is my weakness, especially in the winter. I'm going to commit to doing it for this 28 days, and see how it affects my exercise future!!!!

I have almost stopped exercising altogether because the economy has forced me to get another job. It's time to put myself first and take care of my body no matter how difficult it is to make the time! I would appreciate any tips you guys have for fitting exercise into small pockets of time.

Thanks so much and good luck to all who join this challenge!

This year I have 2 goals so far. My short term goal I hope this bootcamp program will help me accomplish and give my long term goal a great kick off. I have a formal dance on February 4th I am very close to fitting into my dress from high school. I love this dress I need to lose about 5 pounds to fit into it. My long term goal is to go from an over weight BMI to a healthy one (about a 30 pound loss). I have already lost about 30 pounds and I am ready to lose that last 30.
