I've been working on losing 30 lbs. by December and I find it very challenging because I have injured (broke) my right big toe and exercising isn't that easy for me right now, but I am doing what I can and hanging in for the long haul. Pray for me.

I joined this challenge to keep on top of my fitness. I am trying to lose 40 lbs, but I'm taking it one pound at a time. I really just want to get back into the shape I was in 5 years ago. I think joining a challenge will help me stay on track,

Injuries suck!!! I have been sidelined many times from stupid injuries! Just do what you can within the scope of your recovery and you will be fine...Just remember, as long as you are doing something, you are doing more than you would if you were sitting on the couch!!

My biggest challenge for myself this week is stopping myself from eating all the time. Even when Im not hungry. When u are living an unhealthy lifestyle you dont realize how many "casual calories" you consume....so i have been telling myself no alot..you dont need that. My friend always tells me "Nothing taste better than being thin" clearly she has never had a white chocolate covered pretzel:)

My goal is to lose at least 6 pounds and up to 10 pounds during this challenge, which will be during the month of November.

I will do the toning exercises on top of what I'm already doing. At this time, I have only been walking and doing an occasional water aerobics class.

Let's do this, Sparkers!

I weighted myself this morning and I have lost 5 pounds since August! For me this is a great news because I haven't done anything really different except change my plate size to a salad plate. My goal is to walk a little more each day even if it means going up and down the stairs at work when no one is around just to get my exercise in. emoticon

Start everyday as day one!

I have yoyo'd back and forth when it comes to my weight loss so this is more a way to get myself on a stable routine. I am going to get back in the habit of tracking my food every day and doing some kind of exercise. I lost some weight but I still have quite a bit to lose.

My goal is to get motivated to work out. I've been doing pretty good this month with tracking my foods and eating healthy (with a day here and there of slipping but no more than once a week), but my workouts have been VERY inconsistent. The plan for this coming month is to get motivated to workout every day. I figured by starting today when motivated to do so (granted a day early) is a way to prevent potential "excuses" tomorrow.

My goal for week one is to try to get into the habit of working out/cutting out the pop. Before moving out of my moms, I was always active and we never had pop in the house.. now that Im on my own and working more plus school, workouts get left out and the four year old and my roommate are addicted to Coca cola, so avoiding it when all the juice is gone is very hard.

I share many of the goals left by others here...I need to establish the consistency of exercising. Funny thing is, I actually love to exercise but I am just in a weird funk...I am able to talk myself out of a run or whatever even though I know it will feel good. Don't know what's up with that but until I can control it, I need something that will kick my butt out the door every day, even if its JUST 10 MINUTES!

Hello, Tomorrow will be Day 1 of Week 1. A little over a year ago I had my second child. I gave myself one year to just enjoy bonding and adjusting to life with 2 children, a move across the country, getting use to a new place, creating new friendships and not worry about getting back into shape. A year has come and gone....it's been 14 months now. It's time to loose this weight and take back feeling good about my body. Time to feel strong physically and emotionally. It's time to take control of my eating habits and replace them with healthy foods and exercise. Those are my challenge goals.

Hello everyone,

Today is day one, week one for me. I am about to finish up my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration with a concentration in Human Services. My career goal is to become a Juvenile Probation Officer in Georgia, and the Georgia physical requirements for a Peace Officer includes being able to run a 13 minute mile, complete 8 full push-ups in a minute, and complete 16 full sit-ups in a minute. Considering that I am 200lbs, which is70lbs over my goal weight of a healthy 130lbs, I need to develop better eating habits and physically train my body to reach these goals. However, I do not just want to reach these physical fitness goals, I want to surpass them. I believe that a person should put in their best efforts in every aspect of their life, and never settle for the minimum.

Therefore, I need help creating various workouts that will lead to my success while implementing healthy eating habits. I am currently able to jog in place for 45 minutes, complete 100 crunches in 3 minutes, and complete 30 modified push-ups in 2 minutes. I have been doing upper-body weight training 3 minutes per day as well with dumb-bells, but I am uncertain as to whether it will help in my physical fitness endeavors. Unfortunately, I can't do one full push-up and I can barely do 10 sit-ups. I need help and a change in routine, which is why I need this challenge to open me up to new ideas of how to reach my physical fitness goals while inspiring me to remain positive during this important transition in my life.

Week 1 went well! I increased my cardio from 40 minutes to 50 minutes 5 days a week and added yoga Mon-Sat. I did the videos as instructed, even on Sunday! I busted through the plateau I was in and lost 3.4 lbs!

I'm still trying to stay focused on my challenge goals, however I'm finding it difficult to do some of my regular routine exercises because I broke my large toe and I'm too afraid I will do more damage. So I'm trying beginners yogo and this will keep be in the loop of meeting my challenges. I'm working on it and I'm going to " emoticon .

I really like having structure in my workout schedule, particularly at the beginning. Having a set exercise routine helps to keep me on track. My goal for this challenge is to get on schedule and incorporate that schedule into my day to day life even after the challenge is complete.

I just want to tone up and be healthier. I want my arms stronger and more defined, my muffin top to be gone, and my core to be stronger. My legs and but also need more toning! I think having a daily goal to go toward will help my get started and make me feel better.

I'm using this challenge to bring out the competitive side of me to hopefully help me make real lifestyle changes. I want to get to the point where I don't feel "right" if I don't get my workout in. emoticon
