I think the accountability will help me honestly assess how I am exercising and what excuses I use not to push myself.

I've done 6 days of the challenge, having started this on February 1 after wiping my previous tracking numbers clean.

I had a broken scale and now I know that I am 15 lbs heavier than I thought I was. I decided to try bootcamp because I know how to build good habits and having a written plan and daily reminders are useful tools in building new habits.

My first few months with SparkPeople taught me how to eat like a sane person. Now I have to learn to move like one.

5 days of bootcamp = 2.2 lbs lost.

Woo!
Hoo!

I'm just getting started here, and I thought that this challenge looked like a wonderful way to get involved.
My goals are:
1. Lose 8-10 pounds
2. Feel more fit and have increased endurance at the end of the challenge.

I have joined this challenge to get myself back on track. I have gained some weight back that I have worked so hard to lose before. I have lost all motivation to work out. I decided to get my butt up and going again so I joined in on the the 28 day challenge and I have joined a Aerobics class and have started walking again. Just need the motivation to keep it up.

I joined this challenge because I've been working out for about a month and can't seem to get past cardio and into any type of weight training which I know is important for the metabolism. I haven't hit a plateau and I'm hoping by joining this challenge, I won't. I'm hoping I will lose 8 pounds by the end of this challenge.

My goals are that I will (I will I will I WILL!!!) get up in the morning and do exercise... I have issues with managing exercise at any other time of the day, so before work is my only option. Problem is, I love my sleep but have a tumultuous relationship with it and therefore can never seem to get enough adequate sleep to feel refreshed and happy about missing some for the sake of exercise... which is why I'm also doing the sleep challenge. These two should go hand in hand... that's the plan anyway!! =)

I am starting this challenge because I worked out 3 times a week in January and didn't see any change - weight or inches. I'm hoping this will help to jump start that. I want to loose at least 10 lbs. If I could loose 20 it would be even better. Mostly I want to be toned so I don't see the muffin top and the bra flap. Hope this helps.

I can't tell you how much i relate to your post- with the exception of being @ nine years older- it's tat dreaded feeling of "this is all there is" and my scale won't budge. of course, i also knowingly have been completely off the wagon when it comes to exercise for a few months so duh, what else am i supposed to expect?!

I feel like i am- this sounds weird- but an exercise snob- totally in denial of course- but if i can't worko ut heavily for a solid hour FEELING like i am doing something, i just won't do it- including the minimal 10 minutes a day- it's as if a short stint doing a few lunges and crunches, etc- isn't good enough, like i am not really working out that much, or working out at al, if i do that. which makes no sense and is entirely too stupid. SO my goal for this challenge is simply to follow to the T, the short workouts and the cardio as directed. I have to recognize that, no nothing is NOT better than a "little", which might ot be as good as doing a full workout like i want to- but it beats complaining, haha...(how many calories DOES whining burn, i wonder??)

Plannin' my work, and workin' my plan...

Hello. I have decided to do this challenge, because I have 20 stubborn pounds that just won't leave! Actually, my neice just texted me and told me to sign up for it. I have also joined a gym, but mostly for the classes that are included. I am willing to accept a weight loss of less than 20 pounds if I get to a point where I look and feel good about myself. My mind almost has my body convinced that this is just the way it is and that I CAN'T lose the weight. So, I guess I'm here to challenge that! Good luck to everyone else taking this challenge!

Hi there. I signed up for this challenge because I need to lose at least a stone having been given a "talking to" from my practice nurse at a recent health check. I've agreed to be weighed by her every three weeks so need to make sure these extra pounds disappear! I thought this would give my weight loss a boost and get me back into the exercise routine. Ok, it took me three days from signing up to make myself do the first workout last night but I got there in the end and boy, was I proud of myself!!
Good luck everyone - We can do it!!

I am rejoining this challenge mostly because when i went to start it the first time i wasn't able to!. due to the fact i was in and out of the hospital a lot. Now i am better and want to jumpstart my exercise program and get in the habit of exercising regularly. emoticon today is day one for me and after shoveling snow for 90 minutes I am geared up and ready to do the workout! I hope this motivation stays!

I joined the team because I need motivation. I've known forever that I need to lose weight but I have not been able to stay enthused about it even when I lost 30 lbs about 2 years. I was seeing results but it just got boring. I hope to stick to this plan and I have set goals to drink more water and do 30 minutes of exercise while watching TV. These are very achievable goals that I hope to accomplish with the support from this team.

I am here because i'm about to be in between the winter and spring SP Biggest Loser challenge. I don't want to lose my momentum and i've all ready felt myself losing my drive and motivation.

1.) I want to stay motivated

2.) I want to remain accountable to someone other than myself

3.) I want to continue my weightloss between challenges.

I'm joining this team/goal/challenge because I hit a plateau recently. I think I need daily motivation because I don't have a gym membership and sometimes it's hard to go outside in the winter weather.

My specific goal is to lose another 30 or so pounds by June. I am going to Cabo with my family, and plan to wear a bikini.

I am joining because I have gotten out of the exercise habit. I did really well about 1 1/2 years ago when I going to Curves. However, after they closed the location in my area I thought I could continue on my own, but I have struggled. I need the motivation to get back on track!

I am joining because I need to stop the cycle of excuses and quit sabotaging my own health with procrastination. I always do too much too fast and burn out. A daily habit is what I need. I need a set pace that I can't mess up with excuses and perfectionism. I am participating in my first horse show in June and I am determined to look FABULOUS! emoticon

Week 1 Goals, Eh? I'm doing this because I need a schedule, I need something to do everyday and something short is even better! I'm in my Senior year of my nursing school, last semester, and I am so busy but if I don't have time to exercise I don't have time to do anything else! Exercising has always made me so motivated and just in a better mood, why wouldn't I do it? I have to break out of this lazy attitude I have and make exercise a lifetime thing! My goal is to finish every little bit of this 28-Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge and be all set for my friends wedding March 13th, my mom is my tailor so if I have to get my dress fixed again, so be it! :) After this challenge I'm going to start training for a 10k on Memorial Day with my friends.

I joined this challenge because I really want to lose weight. I have always wanted to but I never really give it my all I always give up or have a cheat day and just lose motivation after that. This time though I'm serious because summer is approaching and I'm sick of feeling embarrassed of my body and I want this summer to be different. I want to feel confident in myself for once! emoticon

I joined the team to start a trend of goal setting. I have always avoided goals, because if i set them and fail, I have lost. I need to learn to get out of that mode. In February I decided to go to school to be a medical assistant, the first goal I ever set and won! So this will be my second goal for me to finish and win, in my whole entire life! So my goal is to follow the Weekly Action plans, and believe me it will be a challenge! I always seem to say “ I will do it tomorrow or aaaa not today ,but its ok ..”

Thanks to week 1 of the challenge I broke a significant plateau and while I did everything by the book on the challenge I didn't track the strength training videos correctly so I'm going to re-do week 1. I'm not going anywhere and love Spark People and Nicole's videos so a week 1 do-over really is nothing more than continuing the journey towards my 150 pound self :). I'm within 24 pounds of breaking 200, which I may not have been lower than in over 15 years. SP, along with my own determination and perseverance will get me there. Thanks for another great motivating challenge!

I joined this team today to take my weight loss and exercise to the next level. I have been at spark for a little over a year and lost 10lbs and kept it off. I lost 10lbs the year before that and kept it off. I keep going back and forth but now I want to go forth! I've been kind of lazy when it comes to my exercise and not consistent with my eating habits. I am with a great bunch of people but really need extra exercise support.

So, here I go with my new commitment with exercise. I've joined the team and completed day one video. So now it's on to day 2 tomorrow - Yippee!! emoticon

I just had a 6 pound gain and I am frustrated and angry and so scared that I will never be able to accomplish my goals. I wish this wasn't so hard and I know it's possible as I have done it before, but it's just so HARD! emoticon

So I am taking that step (or 6) backwards and using it to springboard my step (hopefully more) forward. My goal is to COMPLETE this 4 week challenge and in the process gain self confidence and finally show myself that I AM capable of sticking to something AND gaining health in the process. I would LOVE to lose 4-8 pounds in the process, but every time I use weight as a goal, I end up bingeing and it all goes to crap. So my goal is just to finish!! emoticon

When you have a mother who is almost 70 and is 100 pounds soaking wet and you are about the same body type, yet weigh over 150, you know you are doing something wrong! My bloodwork numbers are starting to show it and I don't want to spend the rest of my life on meds just because I am lazy. I need to lose about 30 pounds for me and for the poor horse who has to carry me around all the time! I also want to feel sexy for my DH. He doesn't mind my wobbly bits, but I do!

Seems like since I've put on allot of this weight I've come down with more health issues that I'm hoping will leave with the fat! 2nd-I want to feel sexy again. I know my husband is atracted to me now. But I want him to do a double take and go.. Damn.. she is MINE!. 3rd-I want to feel atractive. for me. not for anyone else. I dont remember the last time I looked in the mirror and actually FELT that i looked good. and lastly- I want to look amazing in a bathing suit this year! My step family is all super skiny.. and all have pools. So summer is a little nerve racking. and I want to knock their socks off this year!

My goals are to track food and exercise and slim down for summer. I want to find more energy and be able to play more with my sons. Besides it just feels great all around!

I miss being apart of a sports team, and my body does too. Being in college really is hitting me and I want to get back to the great shape I was in during high school. I don't have time for sports anymore, but I want to be able to fit in exercise on my own time because it feels great! :)

Week 1 - I really want to be in shape and look sexy again. I want my husband to look at me, like he did 20 years ago when we met. I also want to be a MILF - silly and vain, I know, but that is my secret goal, that now isn't so secret LOL. emoticon
