My Goal for this year...Change the way I exercise...Shake it up some..Start by doing the 28-Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge...
The lesson I learned from last year...I am now--watching my Carbs / Fats area...I think this is where I am going wrong... Over/under...on both of these...

I haven't watched the video either but I have been trying to do my own exercises and I have been losing weight. I need to get more familiar with the website to find where everything is at.

Ahhh! I was supposed to start on the 1st and still haven't watched a video! I have been doing 30 minutes of cardio on my own every day but the 1st and the 6th. My challenge goal is a simple one: Lose 1 pound a week.

Edited by: KTHOSS at: 1/7/2011 (20:58)
When will you learn that knowing the path and walking the path are two different things.

Just about to do day 6 boot camp video. Late because went with my DIL and his wife (both sick) to the Dr.'s and pick up meds and in late. Did do a dance video
before I left (correction: part of one) and did my walking this a.m.

Getting there. Trying not to let life intervene.

I FINISHED week 1. I didn't read the challenge correctly about doing 10 minute cardio unless you were used to exercising regularly and have done 30 minute for my 5 days. Day 5 was with Richard Simmons 60's blast off and I really didn't think I'd get through it but I did and I am so thrilled. Bring on week 2.

I aim to move my body aerobically with flexibility at least 15 minutes a day for the next 30 days. This challenge is a great motivator to achieve my aims.

I set out the week with this challenge to get me back into the videos which I really enjoyed last year! So my big goal: be consistent with the videos and add that to my other daily routine. A despite an injury yesterday, so far.. so good :)

Hey everyone. The exercises for this bootcamp are shorter than the exercises I do normally. I'm feeling really drained so thought that this would keep me motivated. So far this week I've had to combine two of the days twice. But at least I've done them. So it's working for me.

I finished week one boot camp videos. The beginning of the week was awful due to the fact that my husband had to have an energency appendictomy on Monday morning. I was not able to start on Sat. so did 2 videos on Sunday, then 2 on Wed. and Thurs. to catch up and just finished day 7. I can't wait until the end and see if these workouts get any easier. I didn't weigh in until Wed. morning and I was 152#. I hope I lose some weight this week. emoticon

As I come to the end of week one, I'm excited to have lost 2.6 lbs this week. My goals for this challenge are to make working out more of a priority. So far this has been happening thanks to the Spark Videos and my own exercise DVDs. My other goal is to get back into tracking food on a regular basis. I've been mostly consistent with that so far. Can't wait to start week two of the challenge.

What I want from this challenge is to see weight-loss results from combining daily exercise with good eating habits. I think I do eat well, but my exercise efforts have been sporadic. I guess I'm not convinced that exercise will make a difference for me. I'm over 60 and just a little intimidated by this challenge but I'm going for it. In 28 days I would like to see a 5 lb weight loss. My second goal would be that I will learn to enjoy exercising and enjoy having it as a daily part of life.

I joined because FREE IS GOOD! In addition to that aspect I can track my progress. when I saw this challenge it meant that I had no choice but to challenge myself, once and for all for my health, look better, and feeling better for the new year of new beginnings. Last year when I embarked on my weight loss plan on my own I was doing well considering my thyroid condition. It was so hard to get through it. This year I vowed enough is enough no matter what may be in the way. Upon each wakening day I will have a very personal incentive to commit to. Now I just have to figure out how everything works as far as tracking and so on.

Hi all! I joined this challenge because I need to get motivated. I am 22 and it's time to get into shape and be healthy so I can get out there and enjoy life. A big part of that to me is being in shape. I miss all of the things I "used to do" volleyball, basketball, dancing, being confident, feeling good about myself. I want to start doing those things again and getting into better shape and being healthier is the way to make that a reality.

hello everyone I am Stephanie I am 26 years old and I desperately need to lose weight. I would love to lose at least 60 lbs. I need to do something because I do not want to end up like my father who is diabetic from being over weight and not eating right. Maybe if I can do it it might motivate him to get into shape as well.

Hello all,

I am joining this challenge to help keep me motivated. I'm just getting back into the groove of working out and tracking calories and love to have something to help keep me accountable!

I would like to lose 20 pounds by the end of March when I go in to have my wedding dress fitted for alterations which is eleven weeks away. So... by the end of this challenge my goal is to lose 8 pounds!

I'm using this as my goal is to lose 20 pounds by my 20th birthday- which is 15 1/2 weeks away. I think this is doable- but I want to have some kind of tone/ definition when I lose the weight, hence- this challenge:) I'm also hoping it can help me get "into the groove" of actual workouts. I'm horrible at cardio.

I'm using the 28 day challenge to get back on track. I've been doing great, but got laid up for awhile--not allowed to exercise for the last six weeks. Physically, I'm much better but I've fallen out of the habit and will use this as incentive.

I am just getting started and work is already posing some major hurdles for me! I woke up at 5 a.m. twice this week and did my favorite 3 mile walk before starting my day. I felt great both days! I was amazed at how alert I was during the day, I ate well, and I slept restfully. Unfortunately, my Tuesday afternoon, I had to work a ton of over time and didn't get to bed until midnight; which happened again on Wednesday and Thursday night. Waking up at 5 a.m. was not an option for me because I was exhausted. I work on a global project so teleconferences can be scheduled anywhere between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. to accomodate most of the team (typically NOT me). I am so unhappy but I vow to do that walk as much as possible. I will do it again on Saturday and Sunday. I may not be able to do it everyday but I'm not going to beat myself up on the days that I can't fit it inot my schedule because at least I'm doing more than I was doing before. Happy New Year!

I plan to stick to my plan though it has been pretty hard lately.

This week was a good one... I don't think the exercise part is my problem- I love it. It's the over eating. That's something I have to tackle in week 2!

Best to all,

D

ok so this is the second time I've joined a spark challenge, and hoping to complete this one this time.

I'm hoping that it will motivate me to work out at home, as I've decided not to join a gym this year to save money and get more creative with my exercise.

I just want to start seeing some progress again!

I joined this challenge because I slithered very badly at the end of last year - even before Christmas and New Year celebrations compounded everything.

I need all the help I can get to make myself exercise regularly and this seemed like a good way to start a better habit. Have to say that I have found this first week very difficult and therefore haven't enjoyed it much but I am hoping to get past that in Week 2.

I decided to do this challenge because I need a goal to help me stay focused and involved on a daily basis. I lost almost 50 pounds between Feb-Jul of 2009. I gained back some but my ultimate goal was 100 pounds. I want to work towards completing my goal. I think this challenge would be a great way to start!

After an injury took me away from playing sports, combined with stress at work and a new relationship with a wonderful guy who has horrible eating habits and thinks i'm "fine the way i am", I've gained back almost everything I lost. I need to jump start getting back in shape so I can continue losing weight. And I need the support of people who know what I'm going through. Who know it's not just a vanity thing but a health and happiness thing.

Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken over there ... I''m gonna eat the first thing that comes out if its butt"?
