My goal for this challenge is to continue my weight loss journey. I would love to get down to 283lbs by the end. I will have lost 100 lbs at that weight & I would love to start the new year right.

I am also excited about the 10 minute daily workout videos. They are short enough to do anytime anywhere and long enough to start a good sweat (or at least the last two days I have gotten a good sweat).

I am also excited about all of the interaction and community the team offers.

I am in the final week of a 12 week weight loss study I was enrolled in where I had to report all my calories, fat grams, and fitness minutes. That has been a great jumpstart to my weightloss/healthy living journey, but it is just a beginning.
I was looking for something to help motivate me and keep me energized for the next phase -- and this 28 Day challenge seems made to order emoticon

My goals are to continue being gradually more active by doing at least something every day. I've been taking a walk in the mornings most days and now I know how to access my apartment complex fitness center - they have treadmills and an elliptical, so that is my plan for snow days.

Nutritionwise, I plan to continue to use the tracker to keep things in the recommended ranges, although I do plan to update my fitness goals next week (after my study is concluded) and see what the recommended calorie ranges are for the level of activity I have been doing. I have a hunch my current goals are a bit too low.

I'm excited to participate in my first group challenge here on Spark People.

I am bored with my daily routine and want to kick start the new year! I think this challenge is just right to get me going again! My goal is to log on everyday (at least spin the wheel), track my food, and move the scale DOWN!

I need accountability and ideas! I have a tendency to get to the gym and do the same thing (treadmill) cause I dont know what else to do.

I then loose interest and find myself skipping the gym.

I need to commit to 28 days of exercise!

My goals are as follows:

1. Exercise at least 30 min. a day (my favorite is walking).
2. Eat more servings of fruits/vegetables each day (to be honest, I'm not really eating any servings right now, so 1 serving would be a great start).
3. Take a multi-vitamin every day and increase my calcium intake.
4. Eliminate alcohol, potato chips and french fries for the month of January.

I think these things will help me jump start weight loss (I'd like to lose 10 pounds for starters, then I'll reevaluate) and lead me towards a healthier lifestyle.

Hello!

I have joined the challenge because I am 60lbs over my "ideal" weight. I am at the same weight I was when I was ready to deliver both my children, and it's really bugging me. I am an emotional eater, especially now with low-self-esteem. Hubby and I are planning our 15th anniversary vow renewal (still 4 years away, but planning now) and I have already picked my gown. IT's a GORGEOUS gown, but I hate how large I look in it. My arms, double chin, it's all gotta go! And this baby belly, when there isn't even a baby in there! So... That's why I am here! I need it gone. I know it will take longer then four weeks, but I would surely like to get a nice chunk off to start with!

In four weeks, I would like to go back and try my dress on again, and compare the pictures. :)

I am turning 45 this year and I need to make a change in my life overall. I want to get healthier while I'm still healthy. So far, I've been lucky no high blood pressure or diabetes and they run in my family.
I like being accountable somewhere for my activity and that's why I chose to join the bootcamp challenge.

I've been with SparkPeople on and off since last January, but mostly I learned how to eat better in my first year. I thought I was doing a good job of managing my own exercise, but when I hit a plateau last April followed by an injury and then vein work, I lost a lot of momentum. I am back with renewed vigor, and enjoying this 28-Day BootCamp series every evening as a "cap" to my day that begins with a beginning Pilates DVD and includes a day of walking over 10,00 steps on the job. I am really excited to see the scale at the end of this week, but I am already seeing/feeling the difference in my body tone and core strength.

I joined the 28-Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge to motivate me to live a better lifestyle. I have started workouts before and done them for a few weeks and then i never follow through with after the first few weeks! I have been trying to get the weight off that i gained with my daughter (i had her April of 2010) and i have managed to drop 73lbs. so far, and i have 50 more to go to get to my goal weight (which i was trying to achieve before i got pregnant with her)! So needless to say i am willing to do anything to achieve my goal weight! I am very excited to get started and to start loosing this weight!!!!!!

I joined because I need something to really kickstart my exercise routine, especially strength training. I'm pretty good about the cardio, because I found group classes at my gym that I love and I'm starting to enjoy jogging. However, every time I start strength training, I only keep up for a couple weeks then I stop. I'm using this challenge to help me get in the habit of strength training, and I'm hoping it will stick this time.
