I joined the challenge to become active again. I've been very down the last 3+ months and gained 8lbs of FLAB! I need to get back on track for my mental and physical health.

My goal is to lose 22 lbs. in 3 months, and I am using this bootcamp challenge to get back into exercising. I have the fitness equipment and I know how to use it, but got out of the habit of caring for myself months ago. I want my strong, fit body back, and I've been unable to create the balance necessary to do so on my own...so here I am. emoticon

Well... I like many others have failed to remember that my actions have results and as I have been so good at gaining weight and keeping my body in a constant sitting position I now realize that movement is the key to health... lol So, I have joined this 28 day challenge to bootkick my booty into action so I can thus create a better healthy result..

I joined the 28-day bootcamp to get back ont rack with my fitness routine. I was doing well until Thanksgiving, then got lazy, made excuses, etc. I gained 4 pounds over the past month and want to get rid of it and 5 more.
I like the variety of videos SparkPeople has. I need variety to keep me motivated, and the short videos mean I can do 2-3 a day and it seems easy!

I am here to turn my life around -- to make my motivation. In the past several months I've been depressed because of a medical condition, and I ATE to try to either comfort myself, or maybe to have some control over something. (Couldn't I have TRIED to have control by NOT eating???) Anyway, I know that I've gained weight -- so much that I can't even bear the thought of getting on the scale to see the numbers. That's why this challenge is so perfect for me right now. My goals: to drink my water and to cardio for at least ten minutes, five days a week. When I have my behaviors under control, I'll confront the scale and continue to get myself healthier.

I have simple goals. I want to feel and look better. Starting weight in February 2010 was 252. Current weight 209 (I gained 10 lbs back this winter). Goal weight is in the neighborhood of 165-175, but if I feel good and like what I see when shopping for swimsuits or underwear, it doesn't matter what the scale says.

1/1/2010=252
7/15/2010=199 (weight training, cardio, personal trainer)
10/1/2015=240
12/16/2015=224 (Farrell's Kickboxing)
6/15/2018=262
6/16/21=275

25 pounds down=Accomplished! Yeah, baby! It's gone!
50 lbs down=Did it once, now having to do it again... :P
60 lbs down=Time for a BIG reward
70 lbs down=The knees will be sooo pleased
80 lbs down=My goal
90 lbs down=My secret goal shhhh!

Hi everyone,

I joined the challenge because I think the community support and accountability will be helpful. I'd lost 15 pounds through regular walking, but now the New England winter has set in and it's hard to get outdoors. I've joined a cheap gym where I can use a treadmill or elliptical, but am hoping this will motivate me to go regularly. I'm aiming toward a 10K run and 50 mile bike ride at a charity event in October.

I joined for the consistent exercise and food intake schedule that this program will hopefully provide. Maybe I will stick with this to reach the goals I've set for myself.

I've joined the 28 day bootcamp, to help me train for a mini-marathon. I hate exercise, but have been doing it more lately, especially in the last month.

I try really hard to drink 8 glasses of water, but sometimes I slack & only get 6 in a day.

I would also like to shed 15 - 20 lbs, before my vacation this year.

In the last few months I found myself off the path, way off. This is a great challenge to get my journey headed in the direction I want to go. I'm going to keep my goals pretty simple so that I can achieve success and build motivation.
1. Follow and track this challenge daily
2. Stay in my calorie range (1200 -1350)
3. Drink 8 glasses water daily
4. Exercise daily - at least 10 minutes

I could add many more goals, but I want to keep it simple with lots of possibility for success to build motivation and momentum.

My Daily Goals :
1. Drink 8+ water
2. Eat 3-5 ruit/veggies
3. Exercise!!!
4. 1200 - 1450 calories

Well, Day 2 went well. Started with the Sparkpeople 10 minute video, then went on the treadmill and started my Couch to 5K program, so did 22 mins. on the treadmill. So, I've completed 2 full days. My eating? Hmmm...needs some help. I really need to cut the carbs. But I feel the "good" exercise pain that comes along with working out. :-) So, 2 days down, 26 to go. 5K, here I come.

I joined this challenge for the fitness accountability. I've been losing weight at a decent pace since I started, but I think I've hit another plateau and I need to shake things up some. I am a little over half way to my goal weight and I want to get that downward trend of the scale started back up again.

Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it.

I really need to lose 15-20 lbs. I've been looking at pictures of me from high school and I'm so mad that I've let myself go a little bit since then. I really just want to have a better lifestyle than what I do now which is eating/watching tv. I want to be more active and more willing to get off my couch and outside running, biking, or maybe taking a dance class. emoticon

I joined this challenge for the accountability. I need a little kick in the pants and I think this challenge is exactly what I need. :-)Also I want to be able to lose 8-10 lbs during this time. No real reason other than a nice kick start to the year and the beginning of the rest of my life (again).
