I have been sparking off & on for several years. I had great success when I used the tools available to me. lost around 30 lbs , life happens fast forward to present day & I am so out of sharp it isn't funny. I just want to be healthy & happy. So I am going back to the basics & what worked in the beginning.

Hello everyone,
I decided after I completed the first 28 days, I wanted to do this again. It was helpful in organizing my day and I want to make it through the videos again. At the end, I could finally hold a plank on my toes for a few seconds. I love that I was getting stronger through the process and want to continue this program. Everyone have a great time working through this bootcamp challenge!

Hello everyone, I was named Scrammer by my friends when I was at camp because I used to run everywhere. :-) Not so much right now but I want to get back into shape and not feel so tired and grumpy, plus lose the weight that I slowly put back on. Today is day 7 and I have truly enjoyed this week.

Well I promised myself I would lose weight by 60th Birthday! All though I have lost 11 pounds, I still have 39 to go! So I will finish this, as we are going to CT. To visit my Family! and I will be thinner!!

I joined today (Saturday) but will officially start my week tomorrow. Today I will explore the Team pages etc.. By next Saturday, I hope to have lost 2 lbs, and maybe fit into some of my larger clothes again! I REFUSE to have to buy another size larger, just for the convenience. My Complete Challenge Goal is to be able to do the entire 10 minute Cardio workout without any deviations or modifications. I had to do modified jumping jacks and had to march instead of mountain climbers and the other thing. etc.

My Week One Goal is to stay on track and follow the program. going to buy dumbbells today for tomorrow

My hope is that the 28-Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge is going to establish and instill routine fitness workouts to my day. Retired last year so there is really no excuse for boredom! My health and fitness SHOULD be my full-time job. I have many personal areas to work on, among which are fitness, diet, overall health plus healthy mental attitude. My goal for this bootcamp event is to lose 4-6 pounds and BEGIN to reshape and tone! (Now that's a mouthful...lol). Now size 16, weight 198. At the end of my total journey I would like to be at 135-140 # and a size 10 or better. I desire to be a success story just once in my life when it comes to weight and fitness. Plus, to stay that way for life once I accomplish my final goals. I read all the posts and I can relate to each person's in one way or another from personal experience. I am so thankful for SPARK to give this opportunity of fitness and encouragement. I wish everyone success on their individual mission! Leaving for Walmart to pick up dumbbells ; - )) God Bless.

I did this challenge years ago and it really helped me to get going on a workout plan. Sadly I fell off the wagon about 1.5 years later and am probably a little bigger now then I was the first time around. I have a vacation coming up at the end of September that is pretty big motivation... and it's with a mutual friend of my ex soooo might also be a sort of a revenge body thing going on mentally there lol. I've tried to get back into eating healthy and working out off and on but never stick to it so I thought I'd go back to where it all started. Good luck everyone

I am here because I need accountability and I want to do something for myself and be able to help make exercise more of a habit. I like how working out makes me feel but I just need help with accountability. I want to be able to keep up with my almost 8 yr old daughter and be a good role model for her and hopefully one day do Warrior Dash or the Wicked Muddy Mainer. Just got to start back somewhere. I have manage to lose 20 lbs and keep it off for a year, but I want to lose more and gain a lot more strength.

this is my 15th day at SparkPeople and I joined SparkCoach. I love that everything is step-by-little step. I finally don't feel like a failure.

When SparkCoach had me try the Bootcamp Challenge, I immediately said "I can't do bootcamps yet!" I looked at it anyway. The way it is set up I see that I CAN do this!

My goal is to lose weight and be healthy. I don't care how long it takes. I don't need to lose weight fast. I am happy with 1 lb./month lost as long as I feel good.

Sometimes baby steps are even too big. Micro steps, micro steps, micro steps!

my goal is to get back into a consistant plan to improve my health. i was doing great until i moved and the move lasted several months ( contractor issues) i got discouraged-all my kitchen was packed up so i ate out ( not usually making good choices) and grazing. i have now been moved two months but can not seem to get back on track. hopefully this challenge will be the kick in the pants i need.

My overall goal is to reduce pain and increase flexibility before I try to get pregnant. emoticon
My long-term goal is to lose 30 pounds by July 4th.
My short-term goal is to lose 10 pounds by my next check-up with my PCP.

Also, planning workouts stresses me out, so this makes it easier!

My goal is to incoperate strenght training into my usual exercise schedule which has primarily been cardio- mostly walking or doing "intervals" of running and walking on the treadmill. I find that the challenges makes me be more accountable and hope by the end of the 28 days it will become a habit and easily incoperated into my usual routine.

I am trying to ingrain a healthy lifestyle into my everyday life permanently. Being accountable to a team is helping me start this life-long habit.Now there is no "beginning" or "ending" to my diet, it's living healthy from here on out. This is an entirely new perspective for me since my occupation has long been periodic professional dieter. Yup, I'll fall off the wagon but I hope to climb right back on instead of watching it leave me in the dust. emoticon

My goal here is to develop consistency. That is the only goal I have. Exercise is just really not my favorite, and with how crazy busy my life is, it is more than just easy to put exercise at the bottom of my priority list. Hoping this challenge with help me to put exercise where it should be - at the top of the list, and to hate it less. : )

HI, I learned about this challenge through Spark Coach!
I'm here to kickstart an exercise program-just started the 10 minute challenge yesterday, so this 'bootcamp' will not be easy for me as I've been sedentary & have some ongoing health issues, but will go at a pace that's doable...
Goal 1: complete the challenge, participating each day & keeping focus

Hi, I'm Teresa, Recently I quit my retirement job in retail to be more available to my elderly parents and do more volunteer work. That was part time work in a big box store. Very physically active. In 3 months I gained 12 lbs! OOPS So now it is time to spend time each day taking care of myself with exercise and improved eating. One other problem with the decreased activity is that I am having increased joint and back pain. When I get to water aerobics I feel much better. emoticon

I need accountability. I know how important moving is, but I just don't set aside even 10 minutes every single morning to do it. I need to make this more important than checking up on my Sparkfriends. I am tired of being sore, when I know that after I get moving, I feel better and less sore. My brain knows what to do, it's just not a "must do" habit. Yet!

There is always good in the universe, but sometimes you have to look really, really hard to find it. It's worth the effort, though. And when you do find it, dance like nobody's watching, so you can spread it around even further.

She's three months old. I've been easing back in with core exercises, minimal body weight and dumbell training, and low impact aerobic work. I'm ready to step it up, but not to go full force. I'm also upping my caleoric intake so that I'm able to continue to meet her nutritional needs.

I joined this challenge to get me off my bum.
Walking is my favourite normally but with the darker mornings I can’t get out first thing and then suddenly the day is gone

It would be good if I could lose 1 lb per week before I see my cardiologist on 7/2/18.

After losing weight I've gained some back but that's not the bad thing. The bad thing is that I've stopped exercising and my my body hurts and is stiff all over.
