I did it and I'm pushing forward. emoticon


I got want to do it and do this for me. My mind is in battle and my body is at war. I'm in battle with myself and if I can over come myself than I can over come it all and do it one day at a time, let it go and get one step closer to my goal.

I thought I have to do a long workout to burn fat and calories but doing mixes exercises and short workouts I'm looking forward to my next workout. emoticon

I do my workouts at the gym but I find ways to do some at home playing with my kids. I even get them to come "dance" along to my workout video

One minute at a time.

I brought downstairs a barbell with weights and dumbells and have been using them more often as part of my 10 min challenge.

I walk around the house to get my steps in. I do not walk in place for long times.

I also have a desk job, fitbolt.com was recommended on another feed here at spark people, so I installed it as we use google chrome, and you set it for when you want to be reminded to get up and move and it gives you different excerises to do in 20-60 second time frame.
I also walk every break and lunch break outside and then try to do ST and other activitives at home in the evenings. I also will walk in place to get to my 13, 000 steps in.

I've had a busy day running errands. Stopped at 3 different places and parked furthest way in the parking lot. Also did my back stretches this morning. I like your idea of work meetings while walking but it wouldn't work for me. I'm a teacher and getting ready to start next week. I also like the idea of having a walking club with the kids. If I had elementary school kids it would be awesome. What I plan on doing is walking during my breaks and lunch. Con't the great 10 minute challenge. This has definitely motivated me.

I get up in the morning and do the 10 minute videos. I also try and get in my 10,000 daily. The other day I was 600 short of 12,000 and I said I am this close I am going to just start walking in place. So I was doing it and the little girl next store came up my drive and said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I said walking and she just walked away. I just started laughing. I also know you can look up exercises at your desk for some more variety.

Keep up the great attitude! Love the walking meetings. One of my friends is a teacher and she started a walking club for her grade. She gives out stickers for every mile the kids walk.

Well, I tried some new things, like plyometrics in the car when stuck in traffic, and I tried some old things again, like using my Wii. Over all I have gotten in at least 10 minutes of exercise every day for the past 16 (haven't done todays yet - spark time first exercise second) with most days being more that 10 by quite a large margin.
I am going to start trying to do some walking meetings at work - assuming I can get willing participants - and hopefully up the informal exercise there to get me some extra time and movement in as I have a desk job that teathers me in a big way.
Any other tips to keep moving or new things to try?
