I have actually set a one hour daily exercise goal for myself, but I will not settle for anything less than 10 minutes. However, the hour is still the goal.

Hi.
I did the 28-day bootcamp challenge and was very successful. I have about 3 weeks left before i go on vacation. I purchased the bathing suit first and now i have to fit into it!! I'm being realistic. Any weight/inch loss is a great thing--being healthy again comes first. Good luck to all.

I joined a gym in January which I really love. I have been going there regularly for a month so I am already getting in a lot of exercise but here are my goals anyway:

Monday - Step class
Tuesday - weights
Wednesday - Treadmill 30 minutes
Thursday - weights or day off, depending on how I feel that day
Friday - Zumba!!
Saturday - slow walking through town 3 hours
Sunday - 60 minutes of Tennis with my dear husband

I already lost about 20 pounds but want to lose the last 20 and get my stamina back (I have been ill and taking some pretty heavy meds). I'm 55 so I give myself a break once in a while if I am feeling as if I'm pushing it too hard. This is something I learned during my illness and surprisingly, it has never worked against me.

I agree with ENEUHAUS - I want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit this summer!

I signed up for a bootcamp class for a month, so my goal is to go to the class everyday that I am able to...without coming up with a million excusses to not go. For the days I can't go to the class, this 10-minute challenge will help to motviate me to do my own workout at home.

My birthday is 3/25, and I am trying to drop 10 lbs before then! After that, I am trying to get myself into shape for bikini season, as I have never felt comfortable in a bathing suit... this summer is going to be different :)

Just joined the team. I'm also in training for a 5K in April (I'll be walking it, not running it), and the Susan G Komen Global Race for the Cure (5k - again walking) in June. I'm doing a Couch to 5K training using podcasts, but I really need to have that DAILY exercise, even if it's only 10 minutes. I'm starting tomorrow, since it's almost bedtime here today.

My #1 goal for week 1 is to exercise at least 10 minutes everyday. I went off track earlier in the month and haven't exercised as regularly as I used to. I also am going to eat breakfast everyday and try to eat a fruit/veggie with every meal.

I have definitely not been good about keeping up with this challenge and I can feel it (not in a good way). I'm hoping that the longer days help to brighten my mood. I know exercise can do that too and that is my goal for this week:

1) Get dressed in the morning in workout clothes so I'm ready!
2) ENJOY the exercise and know how it will help with my mood :)

Thanks!
Becky

1. Change my negative attitude about exercise to positive
2. Incorporate 10 minutes of exercise in my schedule each day

I'm keeping it simple because if anyone can come up with an excuse of not to exercise, it's me. I really want to dig in and change that behavior once and for all!!

my main goal for the next month is to exercise for at least 10 minutes every day. I want to realize that 10 minutes is better than nothing and that I should be proud of it. I have a 3-month old and ever since i had her i've been beating myself up because i can't do the things i used to do before i got pregnant. So this will be the beginning of getting back to where I was!!!

My goal is to get a routine started. For me it seems to be all or nothing. If I can't work out for and hour or two at time, then I figure why bother. I want to change that attitude for a couple of reasons. 1. I burn out really quickly and end up not wanting to exercise. 2. I can go days without working out because not enough time. I know this is why I am struggling so much with my weight loss. I can easily lose 30 lbs and then put it all right back on. I need to set a routine and also start with smaller time frames, so this challenge seems perfect for me.

Tamara :)

My goal is to just get started on an exercise routine. I haven't decided yet exactly what exercise I will do each day. I'll probably start with walking. I just need something or someone to make sure I exercise regularly and I hope this challenge will help me with that.

Hi everyone. I really do like to exercise. I really like how I feel afterwords. My problem is CONSISTENCY. It always has been. I've lost and gained 20-30 pounds so many times with exercise and then I quit. I think it is because I tend to be a perfectionist with it and if I can't maintain , I quit. Right now , I am trying to get my head together and get started again. My goal is to maintain as long a streak as possible. If I only do 10 minutes, that is OK. Another goal is to not get derailed by life. I know I have the time, if I want. So I am going to try these baby steps an d be more patient with myself until it becomes a habit

The focus is on to just start walking 10 minutes a day, everyday and in my neck of the woods it is more like hiking. That should be a good start, I have also started tracking my meals and calories today. REALLY HARD, over in the fat calories and a little bit harder to eat more snacks because it seems like a lot of food, which is good of course. I need to drink more water too.... big downfall, but it is a start - LOL, that is why they are goals.

I've been so fortunate I belong to an active 5% weight loss challenge that provides great team work and support for quality eating and fitness. This was the perfect time to do the 10-minute daily exercise challenge. I've been able to work in 30-40 minutes every day from primarily walking. I've also incorporated strength training, tai chi, heavy house cleaning, dancing, and snow shoveling. Very productive week! Even worked in a half hour today while on the road for over 12 hours today. WooHoo! Thanks for the great challenges. Diversity is my middle name, so I hope to continue varying my workouts with walking being the foundation.

My goal is to do at least thirty minutes of exercise each day!! I say each day because I need to get into the habit. If I skip a day it leads to many skipped days but knowing that I can do at least ten minutes a day is motivation to keep going! emoticon

emoticon Soo I started the 10 minute commitment, I thought it was going to drive me up the wall, but the weather has been nice and so I took my excercise outside. Day 1 I walked to my mothers house. that 10 minute walk was longer than 10 minutes it turned out to be 1 mile round trip. Day 2. Outside again... I must of gone mad... I walked over 4 miles and Yesterday 4 miles (pushing a toddler in a stroller) and today aprox 2.5 miles (pushing a toddler in a stroller). I thought by now I would be so sore I couldn't move. My neuropathy hurts, yea inflamed but that cause of no meds. otherwise I feel an increase of energy. emoticon
