My goal for week one is to build consistency. It is so easy to make excuses, but 10 minutes is not a long time and is very doable. I want to get to the point where excuses are no excuse (so to speak).

My goal is to start off working out 10 min a day. being a mom to a 9 month old, this is a challenge I can achieve right now. I haven't excersized since before I got pregnant, so this will be starting over me. I'm going to start with 10 min cardio kickboxing videos every other day and on the other days I will either take a walk with the babe (if the weather is nice) or jog/walk in place...

My primary goal is to get physically fit! Part of that equation is to lose 50 pounds by August 18 this year (my birthday). For both, I need to be exercising, thus this challenge. So my shorter-term goal to get myself started is to work out 10 minutes every day and at least 30 minutes 3 times a week.

Working out 2X/week at the gym and just started doing a spin class Sat mornings. Since I have a sedentary job I feel I really need to do more on the other days. I figure that I can fit in at least 10 minutes of something on the other days - let's hope anyway. emoticon

Loved the 28 day Bootcamp challenge so much I am now on week 6 as I have started the challenge again!!
I have since joined the Quickfire challenge team and now I have this team. Some of the exercises are very hard for me but they are becoming noticeably easier and I love that feeling.
I guess I'm here because I want fitness to become a way of life and 10 minutes is a great way of incorporating exercise into my day without feeling overwhelmed by it.

I just finished the 28-day Bootcamp Challenge and want to keep the momentum going that I acquired by working out *every* day. So I'm going to keep doing 10-minute videos every day (and sometimes doing them more than once!) AND keep doing at least 5 days/week of cardio.

I have always been a huge exerciser, but due to a lot of joint problems, lately, I've really slowed down. I can certainly manage 10 minutes. I just rode the exercise bike for 17 min. but my hip gets quite sore, so time to stop. emoticon I need a hip replacement, my second one, two knees, and something done with my left shoulder....

So this will be my first challenge. I thought I would pick something accomplishable. I can do 10 minutes a day, I have been trying for 20. I have started out small with just walking so far. I hope it jump starts something. I will walk 10 to 20 minutes Monday through Friday at the least. I have to do something. I will stay motivated!!!!

Right now I am not exercising 5 days a week but usually only 3. I am trying to develop at least 5 days a week as a habit to get me into the routine. What I do for fitness now is my treadmill- and also tae bo and strength training. Mostly I am using this challenge to give me the extra push to make 5 days a part of my new healthy lifestyle.

I started my 10 minute challenge today b/c I didn't get the email till this morning. But so far so good, me and the kids danced for at least 15 minutes today. It was a lot of fun. And I found a kids yoga dvd that I'm going to get that I think all of us will have fun doing for something different besides walking and dancing :)

I hope this is not going to be too hard. I have footproblems and can't do exercises where you move around a lot. Does housework, like vacuuming count? Hope I can do it

My goal is to exercise 10 minutes on days when I'm not running so I have 5 days with 10 minutes (I currently run on Tuesday, Thursday and 1 weekend day so I need 2 additional days).

I need to ensure I do strength training in that 10 minutes to get from marshmallow to steel bands.

I'm new to spark and so far love it. I really don't like exercise, it bores me and gets old real fast. I do love to keep charts and track stuff, anything really. I'm also very competitive with my self. No matter what game I play I expect to do better each time. I joined this team to hopefully help me incorporate exercise in to my daily life and make it a habit. I think I will start with a quick 10 min walk with my dogs each day. I can track it on here and my dogs will love me too.

weight loss tip of the day: Eat your meals while standing in front of a mirror naked. The restaurant will certainly kick you out before you can overeat!

My goal is simple, to walk 10 minutes a day every day for 30 days. I also hope to increase the speed at which I walk and I hope to see more ground covered on the last day of 10 min then I will see today on the first day. ( It will probably be a pretty short distance covered in 10 minutes today as there is 10 inches of snow on the ground and road right now and I'm camped out at work because I could not get home. LOL

I hope I can help you in your weight lost. I'm not very good with the message board but I will answer you when you E-mail it might take at least three days but I'll be there.

I lost 101 lbs 5 years ago and then gained 50 of it backed and to top it of I was told I was
prediabitic. I know it's hard to loose weight, at least, you have a husband who will support you.

If you want to ask any question about me I'll be glad to answer you. I would like to be one of your spark friend.

EXPATMOM, maybe you are trying to do too much at once? Start with just ONE thing and there is a much better chance you will actually do it ... otherwise you might get overwhelmed, I think.

My weight is in kg, not lbs. I'm not anorexic! Just too lazy to do the conversion 8-).

I really want to get into the habit of being active every day. I cycle to my kids' school (and back...and again in the afternoon to pick them up) about three times a week. I also want to do the 100 pushups program and do more walking, so I can build up to the C25k program. I just can't seem to start ! Hopefully this challenge will bump me into action.

My goal is to also do at least 10 minutes a day - I also have another goal of going to the gym at least 3 times a week - so this will mean I do a little something on those inbetween days too!

this is a great thing for you. You went from sitting on the sidelines to getting in the game! Sometime, when you least expect it, you'll realize that someone loved you. And that means that someone can love you again! And that'll make you smile.

I finished the 28-day bootcamp challenge a couple of weeks ago, I'm still doing the videos but would like some accountability and consistency. So here I am!

My weight is in kg, not lbs. I'm not anorexic! Just too lazy to do the conversion 8-).
