Totally agree with LEAFYGREENJESS...

I joined SP about 3 weeks ago and right afterwards got sick with bronchitis, so I have not been able to exercise at all. Being hypothyroid, exercise is one of the most import things in my weight loss journey. Doing some sort of exercise for 10min/day is a good way to get back to working out after being sick, and I will use this 10min/day exercise habit as a springboard to 30min and then 45min/day.

My main goal is to be CONSISTENT. If I can't commit to taking care of myself for just 10 minutes each day, there are bigger problems afoot. Looking forward to tracking it! Small changes lead to big changes.

I've been exercising 4x a week pretty consistently for a while. I want to bump my fitness up a bit and that's why I'm doing this challenge -- basically, do exercise at least 10 minutes every day for four weeks. Ultimately my goals are weight loss and increased fitness, and the improved self-image that comes along with those things.

I got want to do it and do this for me. My mind is in battle and my body is at war. I'm in battle with myself and if I can over come myself than I can over come it all and do it one day at a time, let it go and get one step closer to my goal.

I'm already in a walking group in my hometown, but I need to get in the habit of moving my body on a daily basis, and 10-minutes a day would be a good start.

I'd like this challenge to help me getting back to exercising on a daily level. Procrestination, full days and stress made me fall off the wagon. If I do something it's normally more than 10 minutes, so when I am at it it's not hard but MAKING myself start is the problem. Maybe this challenge will help me!

Hi All! Good luck to everyone on your goals - looks like everyone is already off to a good start! My goal is to use my gym membership 3x/wk and be able to walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing in the near future! So far I haven't made it but I have done 2 walk at home programs at 1 & 2 mile intervals - better than nothing. Planning to hit the gym on Monday! I'm ready for this!

I know what you mean. I feel like I've been told all my life you need to exercise 30-45 at a time so that makes it really hard to plan for just 10 minutes. I am thrilled to know your 10 minutes a day goal is working so far (and allowing you to get in more time than expected)!

...when the sun comes up you'd better be running

Have completed 3 weeks of Curves 3 x / week Aqua Fit 2 x / week - introduced 'walking' by walking around 'the department store / mall (cooler than outside) to get into the mode and check out my pedometer. The weekend may be a challenge to be creative to get this in the program.

I just thought of a couple of other things that will go well with this challenge. So two more goals for me ...

1. Drink 2 cups of water during and/or right after my 10 minutes; and
2. Have a snack of fruit after completing my 10 minutes.

Both of these contribute to other healthy goals and I think will mix well with, and contribute to, a more successful 10-minute daily challenge!!!

I am great about exercising, UNLESS I can't do it for at least 45 minutes per day. So my typical routine has been 3 days per week, often for more than an hour. I really want to build consistency and drop the "all or nothing" attitude.

So ...

My goal is to do 10 minutes daily EVERY day.

I used to trick myself into exercising, telling myself that if after 10 minutes, I still didn't want to exercise, I could stop. Guess what? Yep, you got it ... I hardly ever stopped at 10 minutes. So there could be a HUGE benefit to this 10-minute daily goal for me. We shall see.

More to be revealed ...

In the meantime, my plan is to make it happen, no excuses, rain, shine, heat, snow!! Just like a post office deliveryperson!!! :-)

My goals for this challenge are to begin an early a.m. fitness routine. Normally, I'm not a morning person, so I'm using this challenge to see if I can do this consistently in the a.m. for four weeks, thus developing a new "habit"!

My goal is to work out 10 minutes every day. I want to use Coach Nicole's DVD "Fit, Firm, and Fired Up," so that hopefully I will have some tone by the end of four weeks. I have been recovering from a car accident, so I haven't done legitimate exercise in months. This should help prepare me for longer workouts in the future! I would also like to figure out the right time to workout and stick to it--whether it be in the early morning, right after work, or before bed.

I need to start off small since I have such a large amount to lose. I want to do 10 minutes everyday, stay under my calorie budget (really easy if I maintain willpower and keep eating these freggies), drink lots of water and take my vitamins everyday. I can't imagine 4 easier steps to accomplish so this should be good.
