Eating Without Compromise means you don't have to sacrafice good tasting food in order to lose weight. It means learning to cook the things you love in a healthier way...I'm not into raw foods(unless it's a salad), tofu and turkey bacon.

Eating without compromise means to me MODERATION.

Sure I prefer fresh and organic, but if I can't, then it's in moderation.

Love sweets, but now in moderation (super, super, super small portions).

Still dining out but less often and when I do I either split the meal with my honey or bring half of the meal home to him so I don't have to cook. Yes, the temptation to eat the whole thing is still there. Some things never change.

I cook for two - unless my husband is doing a cleanse, then I cook for myself. Neither is especially easy. The healthy meals that I prepare are made with foods that I enjoy (as much fresh, local and organic as possible). Eating without compromise means that I will eat healthy foods that I enjoy, I will not waste calories (or time) on foods that I do not like. Life is too short to eat stuff you really dislike and it is certainly shorter if you constantly overeat the stuff you do like. So, the thing is, life is not about compromise, it is about reason and moderation and logic and appreciation. If I allow myself a treat, it is going to be a treat that I enjoy, that has textures and flavors that I appreciate and I will take the time to savor all aspects of it.

Wow -- that's a great idea. I think I'll consider that for a goal reward. Cooking is not even remotely something I enjoy, but I do cook for the family. I would think that cooking for one would be easier. Make a few portions, freeze all but one and then you don't have to cook as often. Sounds good to me! I make a salad for lunch and dinner to go along with the entree. Many times I'll just add chicken to a salad for lunch.

For me it is eating healthy organic foods, lean proteins, seed, nuts, EVOO, Greek yogurt, and a small splurge in moderation.

Cooking for 1 is hard! I try to make healthy meals and then end up with a ton of leftovers. I went to the ocean for three days of relaxation with my dog and I took leftovers! How dull is that?? I ended up throwing stuff away because I was sick of it and it did not taste like vacation food!

I am SO envious of your chef!! That is actually a smart thing to do just for the change and the ideas. Good for you for doing that for yourself!!

I feel decadent! For the month of June, I have hired a private chef who comes in once a week to cook 7 dinners. I hate to cook for 1 and so have been eating poorly for the last year. I couldn't get motivated. I will watch like a hawk because he only is here for 2 hours. I could do this too.

Eating without compromise to me means to realize what I am eating and to eat the healthy things I should be eating. Since joining the spark team I have brought my unhealthy eating under control.

I now eat fruits and vegetables - fresh.

I no longer eat canned products.

I cook when I didn't before.

I no longer need insulin - it was stopped 2 weeks ago. Yea spark knowledge.

Eating without compromise to me means eating in smaller bites (with a baby spoon/fork) so that I feel like I am getting alot without going back for more food.

Hello MEZZOANGEL,

Great way to summarize this team. I agree with you especially using real foods that only contain words that the general population can pronounce.

I love to go to our local health food store as well, when I can afford it. They are a great resource when it comes to eating whole and healthy foods. Unfortunately we do not have a co-op nearby for healthy/organic bulk foods but I can get by.

I started collecting recipes 40 years ago. I love those old recipes when real food was used to make meals. I've had to tweak some as they are somewhat unhealthy by today's standards (fats, etc).

If you run across any interesting recipes close to favorite restaurant foods let me know, cause I have some of those (We can share).

One last thing, LOVE your slogan "Failure is NOT an option." Stay in touch if you want; maybe we can start a forum for the team to share healthy and exciting new recipes.

For me, eating without compromise means...

Spending a little more for local or organic produce.

Cooking at home.

Using real maple syrup.

Not skipping dessert, but just tasting a bite.

Finding healthier ways to create my favorite restaurant dishes at home.

Cooking for others.

Finding creative ways to create dairy free meals.

Using ingredients that don't have fillers, preservatives or words that I can't pronounce.
