I got 3 sets of 15 on each side for a total of 90. Just too many squats and glute work outs in the past 3 days. Couldn't do anymore.

Got 200 done, did't have band or dumbells at work, so I used my Sparkpeople.com water bottle.

@fishie_mamma ~ If you go to the Sparkpeople store, you will see them. Here is a link for them:
www.sparkpeoplestore.com/product.cfm
?u
id=611995&context=category&showInactR>ive=N

(Resistance Toning Bands offer an easily portable and highly versatile way to add resistance training to your workout. Each band is constructed of professional strength latex with secure plastic and premium foam handles to provide a comfortable grip. They are suitable for a variety of toning exercises regardless of fitness level.)

Price is $9.50

I do not know if they come with instruction booklet, but But there are numerous exercises on SP and most exercises can be done using the resistance band. Coach Nicole also has a short video below the item on the above link. I love them!!! In a lot of instances, I think they are better than dumbbells.

Have a few questions please.
1) Do those bands have latex in them?
2) Are they expensive?
3) Where can you buy them?
4) Do the bands come with a Illustrated booklet of instructions?

We are having a great week!!!

Today's challenge is a newer one ~

Standing Wood Chops

Wood Chops with Dumbbells
www.fitnessmagazine.com/videos/m/320

Wood Chop
The wood chop exercise, like the standing side bend, requires a resistance band to be attached to an object higher than your head with your body positioned sideways to it. Stand up tall with your feet shoulder-width apart. If you start on your right side, your right shoulder will be next to the band and object it is attached to. Reach your arms diagonally upward to your right side so that your left arm crosses your chest. Hold both ends of the band with your hands clasped together. Then, lower your arms diagonally across your body toward your left hip to work the obliques. As with the other exercises, keep your hips stationary and your arms straight. Repeat on the opposite side.

Make sure you only rotate through the mid section, don't twist at the knees and shoulders. Keep your arms straight throughout the movement. Keep your mid section tensed up through the whole set.

You can do these anywhere - at home, at the office, in the bathroom, in the hall way....Your challenge today is to do 200 wood chops (100 each side) throughout the day!

There are many varieties on doing these...you can do them with dumbbells, kettleball or resistance band... Just have fun with it!!!

emoticon Come on back and let us know how you were able to accomplish this challenge!!! We love hearing from you ;)

Have a TERRIFIC Wednesday! emoticon
