Second the eat lots of things on the can have list. But if you are really struggling with ideas, ask them to refer you to a nutritionist who can help you plan out some menus. I am OK with eating the same things everyday, so a few menu ideas would work well for me!!!

Hi there--I'm on Coumadin after knee surgery myself and still managing to lose. I just stay away from dark green veggies--kale, spinach, broccoli, etc. check with your doc but I was told cranberry juice is fine--and I love that. Everything else I've kept the same with no problems!

I would say get good protein like, fish, chicken, turkey, lean beef, and pork. You said you can eat iceberg lettuce, so that and tomato, beets, carrots, squash, green and red peppers, nuts, brown rice, eggs, cheeses etc. If you use canned kidney or pinto beans, rinse if you have a sodium limit.

Checkout the recipes here on spark, and make substitutes where needed. Your situation can be challenging, but there are great meals to include foods you can enjoy safely.

Let me know if you need ideas on substitutions in a recipe. emoticon

If you are on those types of medication, I am sure your doctor told you what foods to avoid. So eat those foods that are allowed. Track your calories here on Spark, and exercise. You will do fine. Being healthy is not about diet foods. It is about nutrition and movement. At least that is how I am learning to believe. emoticon emoticon

I'm trying to lose weight, but with me on a no leafy green vitamin, I don't know what foods that I can eat. I'm on cumidiun(blood thinner) so that's what I'm up against. I really need to lose weight
