Great ideas and so true. When I first started walking, 15 minutes was HARD. It's all about doing what you can and building from there.

Norah -- If it's in a can, a bag, or a box, it's probably not good for you so put it down.

wow... what a great post from Sweettooth10! I am motivated just reading those ideas! My suggestion is on days when you are tired, do pilaties, yoga, walk or something low impact. Days when you have more energy do something to push your body a bit more like elliptical, weights. Kettlebell weights have been great for me for toning and burning fat !

Even if you move 10 or 15 at a time that will add up and help to increase your endurance and flexibility.Park farther away from your destination, Take the stairs instead of the elevator, or escalator.Every bit helps. And always remember you need to stretch, even if that's all you do, it helps keep the muscles engaged, and warm ,+ready for exercise, for when you workout harder the next time!Try different exercises , to keep it interesting, and to make sure you're working all your muscle groups.I not only walk, but do Yoga, Pilates, and have been known to dance to the radio on occasion!Kids are mortified,, but it's a GOOD workout!Find DVDS , use magazine clippings,(some you can take out the card, take out and use as reference,) make an exercise scrap book, and find exercise clips on line, borrow a friend or family members videos, or dvds, or look to your local library. Invest in some cheap exercise equipment, like dumb bells, or resistance bands, you could even use soup cans or water bottles in a pinch for strength training. Go up and down your stairs several times for an extra calorie boost. Find something you like , and will keep you active, even if it's just a little bit ,everyday. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon If you have kids, play with them , if you have a yard, rake it up
!( and jump in 'em ,it's fun, and exercise!)Granted you don't have allergies ,of course.:) Keep on trying, you're bound to find SOMETHING you like! Don't Say: "Oh, I have to exercise ", it puts a negative connotation to it.I used to hate and absolutely dread exercise,+ viewed it as much as a chore as cleaning house, in fact I WOULD have better enjoyed housework!(and that's not my favorite activity either!:) Now it's fun, and I EVEN view house work like exercise too!Put a positive spin on things , and they 'll seem easier to do!And you'll be getting in shape,as well as finding it positively enjoyable.Believe it! It's all in how you view things.Even the most mundane task will seem fun when it's viewed in positive light! Hope these ideas were helpful to you.I mean to be a help, not a nudge.Hope I don't come off as a preachy Know - It - All.

Play in the park. Try the swings or the slide or the cross bars.

start with 10-15 min/day and work up. never let a day get by.

Keep your EYE ON THE BALL. What is the goal? Will this action get you closer?
slowly but surely.

Hey, I'll be with you at the next elliptical!

If that doesn't work, how about some aerobics? :D
