It's totally fine to just post here on your own thread. That's what the Reports are for.

We're on Day 6 'Protect your program'

Good to see you Gil--You don't give up on me, even when I DO--AND I DID --AGAIN.
I am the world's worst (or is it worse when it is only me)--when it comes to quitting.

Today is Day 3 of the newest journey, which I DID START--BUT--YOU GUESSED IT--
I already skipped 2 days. What a FLUNKY!!!

I REALLY DO HAVE AN EXCUSE--LOTS ON MY PLATE HERE AT HOME RIGHT NOW BUT IT'S TIME FOR ME TO MAKE '''''ME TIME""""" I AIN'T GETTIN' ANY YOUNGER OR THINNER BY SKIPPIN' DAYS OF WEIGHT WATCHING.
****************************************
********

NOW--BACK TO BUSINESS AT HAND: One problem is that I don't work well in the 'mob scene' like on the threads where everyone fesses up to their shoddy day--or not. I do better just coming here and doing my own 'thing' in my own way. I am a loner by nature and always do better when I do a job alone.

SO---HERE GOES---

****************************************
********************

I just read my last post below, and guess what--I could have written it today, so I copy/pasted it here again and will just spruce it up a bit to suit today's newest thoughts.

TODAY MARCH 8, 2018 I WILL BEGIN ANEW, AND FORGE AHEAD ATTEMPTING TO GET MY STRENGTH BACK (I am really weak in muscle) and GET MY BODY TRIMMED

Ok--on March 3 over a year ago, I wrote:
THE PLAN:

* (*) means this is posted today
1. FIRST: Just DO IT-Read THE BOOK, day by day, and complete the daily 'to do'
*I'm reading ch 1-3 today, then chap. wkly

2. SECOND: record my day, EVERY DAY
*recording days 1-3 today

3. THIRD: weigh in and record it HERE every Sat
(*) record days 1-3 today, then weekly

4. Measure: on Saturdays
(*) again 1-3 today, then weekly

NOTES:THE BOOK is 100 DAYS of WT LOSS--by Linda Spangle
I WILL measure as above.
Book notes--yes, I'd like to be IN CONTROL.of my food.By: (april 30)

1. each day complete 1 lesson in THE BOOK
Those skills will come as 2nd nature in time.--that's LONG TERM SUCCESS.
MOST PEOPLE FALL OFF THE WAGON IN 3-4 WKS. (HA-NOT ME no not again)
Emotional struggles get you down. (maybe??) you really WANT that no-no

Yiou need a new set of tools
1. CHOOSE YOUR BEST DIET PLAN--maybe your own plan. (not good at pre-set 'plans')
2. follow your plan for 100 days: do 1 lesson from this book each day3. TRACK PROGRESS--GET A NOTEBOOK (got it), journal each day (started today)
In notebook write down 10 reasons you want to lose wt (I can't think of 10 right now--working on it )READ IT DAILY
Take body measurements (doing it for above chart)

Taking a break to absorb all of this. (Hoping to get it going immediately emoticon DETERMINED)
I'll be back.

RAWCOOKIE, YOU SURPRISED ME--I DIDN;T EXPECT TO HEAR FROM YOU]
THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENT. emoticon

This will be a loooong post---I am going to 'sorta make-up' for lost time..of course that is never a possibility, lost time, is just that, LOST TIME.
Anyway- I'll be 'talking' here for a while--you may not want to stick around emoticon .BUT--YOU WILL BE WELCOME IF YOU DO.

My last real entry said to get a MAGIC NOTEBOOK, SO I am doing that--whatever you tell me to do--I WILL DO IT. I tried fudging and look where it got me. Oh yeah, I have lost some add'l lbs and I'm fairly content w/ my wt, but I'd really like to shed about 10 more lbs for health.

On DAY 5 -I wrote this:
**************
" GET A MAGIC NOTEBOOK--recording personal actions/thoughts provides valuable insight"
The book suggests that we record our personal thoughts and ideas about eating
--not me. I'm not good at that sort of journaling.
I'll just jot down thoughts I have about what i'll write--
I am not prone to eat because I think of a certain food.
I eat wrong foods because I SEE THEM ON TV. ETC.
A MAGIC NOTEBOOK that makes me FORGET will not work for me.
This lesson was not necessarily one that will help me, BUT I have other tricks for 'letting go' when a food calls me that I will pull out of my hat when I need them--like going for a walk.
One thing I did glean was to write down any food that I really want today and figure out when/how I will fit it into my new program--PLAN IT IN/
****************************************
**********************
OOOOOOOO what a failure
That didn't work
So---
Maybe I should try journaling. It has been said:
When I journal, I stay on track.
Perhaps 'recording personal thoughts thoughts or actions each day will provide valuable insight. as little as 1 sentence will do.
JOT DOWN THOUGHTS AND IDEAS TO MANAGE EATING MANAGEMENT.
----OR-----NOT----
JUST KEEP THE NOTEBOOK HANDY
AND'
jot eown any ideas about eating that you want to remember

(I think I'll use this 'page' as my journal

THOUGHT: when you crave a certain food, write about it HERE. then maybe you won't need to eat it
POSTPONE THE THOUGHT UNTIL LATER SOUNDS GREAT

****************************************
***************
ANOTHER GREAT THOUGHT I NEED TO REMEMBER-----

DAY 3- WEDNESDAY- DO IT ANYWAY-Be committed to your resolve
PUSH yourself to do what you know you want to do and are committed to do.

Don't FEEL LIKE COOKING A HEALTHY MEAL? DO IT ANYWAY
Don't FEEL LIKE EXERCISING? DO IT ANYWAY
Don't FEEL LIKE PASSING ON ICE CREAM? DO IT ANYWAY
Don't FEEL LIKE GOING TO BED ON TIME? DO IT ANYWAY

Get the picture? I need to learn to focus on what I DO instead of how I FEEL--
FEELINGS go away--what I do lasts.

FINAL WORD:When you are TRULY COMMITTED YOU WILL DO IT.

SO my take away is; ask myself--am I truly committed?
THEN DO IT...or maybe DON'T DO IT.

I feel like I am truly committed this time
I long to be free
to be at goal
maybe I will make it this time , emoticon emoticon

It's been a week since I've posted but I've been reading here every day.
I'm just not up to this right now.

I'm going to have to take a long break and get my body back in sync before I can go further so I'm signing off for now--to be continued after my possible back surgery. I'm not a quitter, and this really is a hard decision but life has become rather difficult.

Just too much going on in real life right now.

DAY 4--BOUNDARIES, NOT DIETS--(I missed posting this on my 4th day due to computer problems AGAIN, but wanted it to appear here anyway.)

HMMM that sounds like an interesting view of this journey--we are setting boundaries!--we are NOT ON A DIET. That sounds much less intimidating. My diets usually last long enough for me to lose about 10-15 lbs and 'feel' better, then I go 'off' and that's the end.

If I'm not on a diet, then I'll have to just stay within the boundaries I set for myself and the end is open, with no stopping point--forever open for me to continue moving ahead. YEP--I GET THAT. I'LL CONTINUE FORWARD.

As the book says, when I am weak, I'll never go off the pathway (program) completely--maybe I'll just widen the boundaries a little. Hoping to never need to widen my road.

My boundaries will be GOOD for me--they will keep me focused on the road ahead--the straight and narrow road of success with very little to do with rules and more to do with personal goals in health and 'how I feel'. I am not a young lady who needs to be a slim, beauty--I just want to be healthy and feel good about my life. The rest can hang on for the ride to a better life.

Looking forward to the MAGIC of DAY 5....HMMM magic? I don't think so. This is W O R K.

DAY 2---AGAIN POSTING IT ON DAY 3
eMuch better. Went all day without giving in to temptations to eat old favorites. I felt totally in control and 'committed' today.

The lesson was about being interested or committed, and I felt like I was committed. Little did I know how quickly that committed feeling would be stolen from me--next day was a total change.

I trusted that I had beaten the temptation bully--little did I know what the next day held for me.

Read on--as I said, I am writing this on Wed which is 'the next day".

DAY 1--(actually completeing this on day 3-I was not going to do the journaling in public but 'blew it' so badly on day 3 that I gave in cuz I realize I need accountability)

Linda said "You are so determined to make this plan work----this time you want to stay on the wl plan--but--afraid you haven't changed" and I said "uh huh--that's me"--afraid I haven't changed--same ole me--I'll never make it. That's what I usually call STINKIN' THINKIN'. You see I used to be a teacher and I used that phrase on "the kids"--now it's time to use it on "me".

Soooo--It's time for me to take myself in hand and quit the stinkin thinkin and get the job done.

Thinking like this is self destructing and that's exactly what happened---

I ATE A BUNCH OF JUNK--JUST LIKE I ALWAYS DID---WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT.

TOMORROW MUST BE BETTER. emoticon

I am actually on DAY 3 and really disgusted with myself. I'll tell you all about it--later. Right now I just want to say I've been toying around with this 100 DAYS "stuff" for about 6 months and not really willing to buckle down and DO IT.

I FINALLY decided to GET THE JOB DONE but then, blew it on day 1 and now on day 3, grrrrr--I'll tell you about it later. emoticon

I have been much heavier than I am now, but still have about 25 lbs to shed--and it is really really stubborn. I've been 'trying' to get it off for months--but I always sabotage myself.

The reason I am here, and going 'public' on this forum where all can read me, is that I need accountability. Will you make me accountable? I am an senior citizen and don't need to carry around extra weight. You can see pics of me on my spark page if you like.

I actually am truly committed, but I have a problem STAYING committed, if that makes sense. My 'wanter' takes over--"it" runs my life at certain times--telling me "you gotta have that KLONDIKE bar hubby bought for himself. Now, you know that is senseless--SO DO I. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GET OVER THE TEMPTATION.
*******************************AND I WILL--TODAY*******************************
***********

Now that I have 'gone public' so to speak, I have accountability and really need to get this done.

THE PLAN:
1. FIRST: Just DO IT-Read THE BOOK, day by day, and complete the daily 'to do'
2. SECOND: record my day, EVERY DAY
3. THIRD: weigh in and record it HERE every Sat
4. Measure: on Saturdays
