Pedipod & Anyone else: GREAT question!

Suggestion: Try walking out your jacks instead of jumping them out. It would be out-out-in-in --- 100 x's (4 sets of 25) --- arms go out & in with the feet too unless there is a balance issue --- then use the countertop.
HOWEVER: Jumping jacks are safe at any weight IF you can get in chest deep water. In this case, try 1/2 w overhead arms & 1/2 pressing the arms out & in against the weight of the water - it does wonders for jiggle triceps!

BTW: emoticon on your 50 lb loss!!! emoticon

- 2.1 mile walk done in 32 mins
- 30 JJ's done on land! OK, they were baby ones (feet only) holding onto the counter, but I plan for each set to progress while going for the 120 challenge.

Alan, starting those tests is just an added bonus of turning 50. You'll be told again and again that your health is that of a 25 year old: what a compliment!!

I owe this team 60 reverse lunges from yesterday, and today is the day to catch up. I will also do the jj's early in the a.m., because we're having guests today and the rest of the day is booked.

That was a wonderful video! When you lose, don't lose the lesson. I've been drafting a blog recounting my first year with Spark, following the stages it prescribes, so that I remind myself in the coming years of the work and the lessons I learned during this journey.
I'm glad to be in this team during my second year with Spark. You guys are inspiring to the core! (no pun intended!)

LMAO - today's jumping jacks (and everything else), should be loads of fun today. I'm just discovering the downside of turning 50: medical test procedures that are recommended beginning at that age. Without going into any details, I have one of those procedures on Friday and am prepping tomorrow...

... but I'm in!! like I said, jumping around should be LOADS of fun. Wish me luck :-)

If walking around the apartment getting my things together while packing counts then I am in for the walking part. That is 90 minutes a day at least I been doing.

The jumping jacks would hurt my ankle which is still sore because I cannot rest it here LIKE I should be able to.

I really miss you guys and QUICK FIRING!!!!!!

1. Sit with your back straight and feet positioned firmly on the floor, shoulder-width apart.

2. Twist your upper body to your left side, as if you were attempting to look over your shoulder. It is crucial to keep your head straight when performing the twist. When you have twisted as far as possible, hold the position and squeeze your oblique muscles for a count of three.
