My vote is it is yours and you enjoy and use it -- it stays home with you! We have a system also, but it's in my son's room, so he can play it -- but I can too when he's not home! But the system stays home! He's asked to take it to other friends' homes -- but my answer is always "no"!

I agree 100%! I made the mistake of letting my daughter take the remotes... did she come back with them NO!!! I did eventually get them back but why go through the hassle. They want to play with it then come on over cuz it ain't leaving!

Good for you. He's a young man! At a younger age, my son was working for next to nothing (but living at home for nothing) and used his money to buy TWO XBoxes for gaming with friends. Personal responsibility.... let him own it! Grin. He'll thank you someday... honest.

Agreed! I wouldn't let it out of the house even if it were my daughter's. It's too expensive a 'toy' to be dragging to a friends house. Besides, if it got broken who would end up paying for another? You!

I say - protect what is yours!!!! My boys (17 and 15) take their machines places all the time but when it comes to something of mine like my ipod touch - I put my foot down! I have even gone so far as to hide it.

They already get all the good toys - I say everyone must share - except MOM!!! emoticon

My 19 year old son keeps bugging me to let him take my Wii (did you catch to whom the Wii belongs???) over to his friends' houses. We have had the same argument now several times and it always ends with me being the evil person (Apparently I'm whack!) because I won't let my Wii leave the house. I tell him to go buy his own Wii if he so badly wants to take it out of the house or take his X-box or his PS2.

I work out with my Wii almost every single day, either on My Fitness Coach and/or Gold's Gym Cardio. If anything were to happen to my Wii, I would lose a substantial portion of my workouts.

So what do you think, fellow stressed out moms? Am I whack or just protecting what is mine?
