5.6 miles but 2 stints of farm chores for 45 minutes, cranking up the wood furnace to beat the chill. You will see a difference in steps when you use the treadmill.

You logged 8 miles and I got in 1200 steps. I am so surprised by how little activity I really do get during the day working between my art studio etc. No wonder my muscles are so weak. This has been such an eye opener for me with this Activity fitness tracker.

Soon, I will wear it while on the treadmill also but I needed to see where my activity levels were in everyday life .

Our building is 50 x 90 but has a circle between the offices and storeroom. I try to walk in the warehouse but it is crowded with the merchandise of the feed store as we rent out 2/3 of the building to him.

I know I will make up for it this Summer when I work on the property but it sure shows WHY I put on a few pounds in the Winter. Working on customer pencil portraits or the laser orders does not burn calories...only uses up a lot of time.

I just received my Activity tracker and so far I wanted to get an idea of how many steps I walked just in daily activity around the house. I am not wearing it for the walks or exercise this first week. Wow, I sit a lot at my computer and drawing table and don't get a lot of movement!!

I average only a mile a day ( or less) for my daily activities of house cleaning right now and going up and down stairs.

I have gone for walks outside or shoveled snow (albeit very little) but cold seems to kick my fibromyalgia into high gear and I pay for it. :( I decided to join Anytime fitness to kick my exercise up a notch. Start in Feb.

I am outside every single day. I suspect I will go out tomorrow but stay close to the house on our street. I do have chicks outside that need attention but the barn is too close to call it a walk to get there.

So, what can we do for Feb and Mar to continue moving in the right direction. I know I am not one who tolerates cold very well. I think I will just keep working in the gym. I know I should be outside more but ....it just is not going to happen unless its in the 30's or higher.
