I'm grateful for my children, they can bring me joy with the smallest of smiles.
I'm grateful my husband is still safe and one day closer to coming home.
I'm grateful to still have my sister, who is in remission after I donated my bone marrow to her when she had leukemia.
I'm grateful for my parents, who are always willing to drop everything to be there when you need them.
I'm grateful to SparkPeople, who are helping me change my life so I can be here for everyone that needs me.

I am gratful for much in my life. But most of all I am grateful for the people who are both living and dead who have touched my life in some form. I still remember and am glad that I knew the 80 year old who lived next door to us when I was 7 - she was my best friend and taught me much. The women I worked with in my 20's who had 3 terminally ill children but sill always offered a hand to any in need. My friend Lacy who brought sunshine and laughter into my life. My Mother who taught me kindness, caring and a love of books. And to all of you who offer support, friendship and guidance whenever I may need it.

In honor of 9/11, I'm not posting our usual Dance Party.

I want you to do something different today. I've noticed that a lot of us are struggling, and are focusing on the negative things in our lives. Today, I want you to take a few minutes, and make a "gratitude list". Throw away all those negative thoughts, and list what you are grateful for. You can post your list here if you like. If you don't want to post it, that's fine, just post that you did it.

Start Weight: 214 pounds
Goal 1: Get under 200 pounds.
