August 21st.............. I have crept into a couple of restaurants while running errands with my son and/or DGD as she prepares for moving into her dorm and the start of classes. There were seldom more than one or two other tables with guests and I felt socially distanced. The waitress was masked and gloved up and the menus were disposable. We were served promptly and we did not linger. I would have turned around before I was seated if there were more guests............ I have a low threshold for crowds during these times.

I'm still avoiding general errands; just doing the dentist and doctor as they can't wait any longer.

Me too, on June 12. I have only gone to the doctor and went out to eat once. I plan to go to a memorial service this Saturday, there will be social distancing.

Well,, it has been three weeks since my post below. I do not feel "safe" our in public yet. There have been a lot of "spikes" in reported COVID cases and I see a lot of people that are not wearing face coverings. DW and I are going to continue to shelter in place until the numbers come down. Better be safe than sorry. Also, it is not so bad to live this protected life a bit longer. Eventually therapeutics and a vaccine will get us out of this mess.

Mid May Update:

Arizona is well on its way for opening up the state's commerce and recreational options.
Vulnerable and "sick" citizens are urged to continue to shelter in place. My wife is vulnerable with a highly compromised immune system and diabetes. So, she stays home and I am very cautious when venturing out to pick up food, meds, home care products and/or home repair supplies. I have been able to continue my exercise plan with golf three days a week, local community walks and in home free weight sessions. I was able to get a controlled and upgraded safe environment hair cut at the barber shop two days ago. All went well and I felt safe.
Although restaurants, offices, retail services, public gyms and recreational open air options such as parks and community pools are available to all with operators and visitors wearing face masks and following CCD and state guidelines for the operation of the facility in question, I am not likely to visit these facilities unless there is a dire need of the product or service. I am waiting for a safer environment and that means new therapeutic medications and treatment that will substantially lesson COVID 19's symptoms and risk to life. A vaccine would be great, but is not on my "must have" list until I find a need to attend a large sporting event, movie theater or concert / performance in a full auditorium. By the way, these types of venues are yet to be allowed to open in Arizona.... and such will be the case for some time.

I've been staying home except for grocery and garden center shopping.

I am averaging one or two pajama days a week, as opposed to maybe six a year.

My main exercise is working in the garden. I haven't gone to any of the local parks for walks. Even with a mask, I don't know how to handle distancing on the walking paths.

For mental stimulus I read, do sudokus, crosswords, cryptograms, jig saw puzzles, and watch documentaries.

If you're not good at self sufficiency or self entertaining you're really having a hard time during this pandemic.

I have been staying in. I place online orders for my snacks and made 1 trip so far to the grocery store for groceries. I also went to Walgreens to pick up a few things at their drive through at the pharmacy department. That was so kind of them shopping for me while I sat in my car. I really appreciate that service. At the beginning of our stay at home orders, and I needed a change of scenery, I used to get in my car and drive around, but not get out. I stopped doing this when I realized that I was burning unnecessary gas.

At my Hy-Vee at home, they keep it clean and clean the carts. I have found if I go early afternoon, the store is not real busy. They have put in plexiglass to protect their cashiers. The some shelves have been rather bare but have been pretty much able to get what I want. The Hy-Vee I went to in Des Moines didn’t seem to be doing much.

I started off using the grocery delivery but that system became overburdened and now you can't get any time slots. The senior hours at Safeway aren't very helpful as the shelves haven't been restocked yet, so it's slim pickin's. As much as I hate to ask, I'm going to be needing my daughter's help with getting the groceries.

We stay at home. I golf on MWF at our community golf course, on my own cart, alone. DW walks with me in the community 3 days a week. She does not go out in her car, she stays put.
I am the errand guy but only for necessities. Maybe two or three trips a week. We feel safe and that we are doing our fellow citizen "job".

This morning was my last venture out until 4/13 or longer. I only went through drive-thru windows to pay a bill, make bank deposit, and get a couple of meals which I have brought home and divided for about 6 more meals. Our governor has issued a stay at home order from 6 pm tonight until 4/13. We can go out for medical appointments or meds, groceries. So thankful family will deliver any groceries I need but maybe I can do without anything else.

Staying home too and getting groceries delivered. I take an occasional walk outside when the sun is out. When I see someone approaching, I go to the other side of the street. I drive occasionally, just to get out of the house. I am surprised to see all the people walking, driving, working, etc.
My doctor appointments are by telephone.
Dh is still working but there are very few in the office at a time and the admin staff is off.
I have to order groceries well ahead of time, so that is difficult knowing what we will need two weeks out. I order another delivery before we even get the current order. They call and let me know the substitutions and what they were not able to fill.

I did get my nails done this morning but realize that will probably be the last time for quite a while. Also had to go to the vet to get something for Rascal but they came to my car and gave it to me. I have not been to the grocery store or any other shopping—believe me that is hard to do for me as I am usually very social.

We are mostly staying at home. Everything is closed anyway. We have live stream church services and restaurant delivery, on occasion.

Dh still works, but practices distancing except with the very few who are left at his office. All the admin staff is off. He is in law enforcement. He washes his hands when he gets home and changes clothes, but that is usual.

We are not living in fear. I don't wipe everything down every day. I wipe down the counters with Clorox wipes after getting groceries, and the plastic bags, cans, etc. Here, they only charge $5 for grocery delivery and I am getting a delivery this week.

I have been out in the sun a couple of days walking. It is raining a lot lately, so am using my treadmill.

My church started a ministry reaching out to other members by phone, I am part of that team. If they need something, we have a "runner" who will go to get it for them.

I've been semi-isolated since the beginning of March and cabin fever sucks. Since Washington was an early hot spot in Washington, the corporate owners of our senior housing had cancelled all community activities and I listened to what the experts (CDC) were saying regarding the seniors. Unfortunately, my daughter's family all had colds so I haven't been near them and I miss them.

I am keeping up with my own exercises and walking when weather permits. I've tried the grocery delivery and it works but is blowing my budget to heck. I hear they're going on strike next week, so we'll see what my options will be. I'm hoping my daughter will feel it's safe for her to help me.

The only time we get out of the house is when walking Scarlett-dog 4 times/day.

We enjoy the blue sky and sun, there are many people out walking in our neighborhood and we keep social distance. Of course that is easy because Scarlett doesn't like other dogs.

Will take advantage of "senior hours" at supermarket and warehouse this week.

Like the rest of you, we have been staying home. It has been easy staying away from people....we live far out in the country on 20 acres of land and our whole street is made up of 6 houses set on 20 acres apiece too so we have all the privacy in the world. We love it here and especially with what is going on in the population.

The only time we have had contact is grocery shopping. And everyone keeps their distance of which I am glad. And getting gas.

People have actually been very good about this situation and I am so thankful for that.

I hope you are all safe and sound too and keep your hand sanitizer right by your side!

This too shall pass! God bless us all and keep us safe! emoticon

I have mostly been staying at home. Have been working from home for the last 2 weeks. (Yes, I still work, though recently turned 70.)

I do go out for groceries occasionally. But I go out almost everyday for a walk. I do not know what I would do if I couldn't continue to get fresh air and exercise.Walking also helps reduce my stress- which ebbs and flows depending on the day.

Stay well, all.

I am staying home most of the time. Donna and David (local children) and Brittany (DGD) is doing my shopping so that I have no excuse about staying home. I have ventured to Shirly’s once to eat supper with her and Frank but that is it. I am walking around my block to get some exercise besides in the house. Yes, I could be working in the yard and weeding flower beds but I have never been a gardener and don’t think I will start now. LOL. I play cards and Gummy Drop on my iPad, sew some, and work on ornaments a little. Talk to family and friends on the phone. I am very thankful I have Rascal even if he can’t converse with me—at least I am not totally alone.

My hubby and I have been staying home. We've gone to the grocery store and the gas station.
It was $1.56 a gallon. I never thought I would see that price again.

We've done walks and worked out in the yard and garden- if it doesn't rain, or snow is above 45 degrees. We are also cutting grocery bags so some nice people from the senior center can crochet mats for the homeless people.

I am also baking bread from scratch. It is a learning curve, but I am coming along. I know I should be cleaning out closets etc. but I just can't get into it. I also read to pass time and call my sisters and my friends.

Times are very difficult all over the world. Please share with us how you are coping with the situation around the corvina virus. I really think we need to support one another during this time. Feel free to respond daily or as often as you wish. I care for ALL my spark friends and want all of you to stay healthy and strong.

For me, since returning from Mexico, I have been hibernating at home. I’m so happy to have the comfort of my dog Buddy. I’ve gone out to get some groceries and to pick up a prescription. When I’m out, I certainly have practiced distancing from others.
Again, stay safe and healthy
