Karen it is a good feeling and a good reminder and motivation every time I think about it. When you do it once you know you can do it again.

Tomorrow I am going to concentrate on eating more vegetables. Eat them first to fill up. Then watch portion control on other foods.

This Tuesday I'm going to target FAT. Going to try to keep it really low and see how I feel.

I am on track today!!! emoticon I went to the Landlords meeting and "I did not eat that pie". I drank a cup of De-calf coffee and petted the little doggie. I feel so good about myself.

I am under my calorie limit by about 10 calories today. I ate lots of veggies and I am very full. No cravings or wanting to eat anything at all right now.

My Girlfriend Group is having dinner at the Red Lobster (again!) tonight.

I am much too much a "chow hound" and rarely ever eat under my calorie range! I'm usually under in fiber and folate (whatever that is) and nearly always over in carbs and calories.

That's especially true on the weekends.
This last weekend I was really bad.
Now I'm going to go pout somewhere...

I am changing the time I exercise for now. I really don't want to up my calories, but I am adding more protein also. I am always at the low end for carbs and protein, so I will let you know how that works. THanks for all the suggestions. THat is what makes this a great team.

I have heard about the 'Set Point Weight". It is when your body knows what and how much you eat almost everyday and how many calories you burn.

As Nancy said: Your body has adjusted to what you are doing. Either change up your exercise or eat more fiber or protein or just more calories. emoticon

If you are doing the same thing day in and day out your body has adjusted to what you are doing. Either change up your exercise or eat more fiber or protein.
You could even change the time you exercise!

Ok, has anyone heard the theory that your body finds it's happy weight and won't let go of anymore weight?
I seem to be having a real problem. I am exercising, staying within my range and my weight doesn't vary more than 1-3 pounds. This has been going on for 3 weeks now.

Nancy, my body has never been near starving, lol.

My range is 1200 - 1550. I can't exercise consistently due to body issues, so to be serious about weight loss I have to hit the low end 2 or 3 times a week.

Hi Karen,Be careful about eating on the low end to often. Your body will think it's starving and start storing fat instead of losing!

So far so good, but the scale isn't moving. I did see some relatives this week that I hadn't seen since the last funeral, and they remarked how good I was looking, so that is an incentive to keep going.

Ok, Cathy, I know we both speak English, lol, but WHAT is a brolly? I don't think I've heard of them in Texas!

I corresponded for a couple of years with a friend in London. He and I had some good laughs over our "language barriers", lol. I sent him a tape once, in which I read off some of the names of towns in England, in my Texas accent, of course. He was definitely rolling-on-the-floor laughing, LOL.

They have a nice fitness room on the ship, and we have used it twice so far. We have also walked several miles. Climbing stairs has been easier than the elevators, so I am exercising. emoticon

My eating seems to be under control, but I haven't done much exercise. I'm going to do 30 min. of SOMETHING today.

I didn't exercise a full hour for my target yesterday, probably more like 30 to 40 minutes but did get to work in the yard for the first time in weeks. Last night I felt sick - since this morning I'm fine I think it was allergies.

I had a successful night at Applebee's with the Girlfriend Group. I ordered the Cajun Lime Tilapia with rice pilaf and veggies.

We were so busy laughing and talking I didn't even notice the GF across from me having baby back ribs and fries until we were all done. Wasn't even tempted. Focus was on fun and friends, not food. yay

Kay, the carbs and salt in the pizza does that to me too. And I also have to stay at the low end of my calorie range or I gain. I can eat more if it's not carbs!

The good news is, you'll have that weight off pretty fast as long as you don't let it sit there for a month, lol. Just takes constant vigilance, doesn't it? But you worked hard to get to goal and you'll do what it takes to stay there!

The highest point on my calorie range is 1550. I had been staying at the very low end. Yesterday, I ate too much pizza. My calorie count was 1400, and I gained 11/2 pounds.
Today and tomorrow will really be workout days. emoticon
