Larousse, I LOVE those wreaths! They are so lovely. I made one at a workshop when I was a teenager - it was made totally out of pinecones of all shapes and sizes. But I never have made a live one like that but it would definitely be fun to do. Tell Daniel he did a great job with those tree lights. LOL! I bet the kitties thought you put those baubles on the tree just for them. Thanks for sharing those great photos. We haven't put our tree away yet either. Next week, maybe.

here is our tree, put up and decorated by Daniel. He is very patient with the tree lights!
We put minimal baubles and decorations this year, because the cats pull them off!
It is still up.... we might get it put away this weekend. But we like to keep the decorations up for most of January.
Bonnie, those little birds are so sweet! We had a few of those once, don't know if we still have them. It must be nice to have a theme like that!

Like last year, I did an outdoor workshop to make Christmas wreaths. This year I took Daniel with me, and between us we made 4 wreaths! This one is ours (a bit big, and a bit oval shaped)

This one we gave to our friends from church who live round the corner. They loved it, and added a bow! Apart from that, the wreaths are 100% made with natural plants, no wires or string involved! Just go out in the woods with your secaturs and make one!

This one and

this one, we gave to our next door neighbours either side. They were thrilled!
Because they are kept outside, the wreaths keep their good looks for about a month.
This year, at the workshop, the leaders had not got a supply of berries etc to add some color, so we managed to find a bush with red berries on (not holly though). Last year, we had more variety of berries to decorate with.

Hi girls - I know it's a busy time of year, but I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we shared our Christmas decorations and fun activities. I'm always looking for new ideas to decorate, new Christmas gift ideas etc.

This is my cardinal tree - a few years ago, Dan wanted a tree decorated in cardinals so i went online and ordered a bunch of those little craft birds and wired them onto clothespins so they could be clipped onto the tree. He likes to finish the tree with gold garland, plus white and red Christmas balls. I'd love to see pics of your trees!
