Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has some advice with starting back into workouts post-partum. My baby girl is now 3 weeks old, and I'm already down to post baby weight from my son! I haven't been this small in almost 6 years.. so I'm happy with were this is going but all I've tried doing right now is walking. But I'm looking into getting back into the gym - just want to ease back in since I did have a c-section and had my tubes tied - I gotta tighten up this loose belly skin as best I can.
I've struggled with feeling self conscious about my tummy even when I was 90 lbs in high school.. it's just my body dysmorphia talking I know, but the loose skin on top of being heavier has just made it so much worse. I've come to turns with my tummy never looking flat I just dunno if I can handle all the flab hanging off.

Determined Momma!!
Baby boy due 2/2/18 - Arrived 1/30/18 (emergency c-section)
Baby girl due 2/17/18 - Arrival any day now

Well, last night was a humdinger... Total anxiety. I worry about my family. I worry about work. I worry about exercise. I worry about what to prepare for dinner so that both roommates are satisfied. I worry about housework. I worry, worry, worry.

How are YOU?

I was told by accounting that the money I had set aside for Christmas needs to be used for other circumstances. Merry Christmas.

I have a job writing for a women's website and do several side hustles. My crafts are going to have to be completed in warp speed to make some extra money.

I opened up a tote crate today and found dressy winter clothes that I forgot I even had. The clothes were all gifts from Santa over the past few Christmas'. I will have nice clothes for church if my neighbor ever asks me to go. For some odd reason, the neighbor does not ask me to go to church anymore. I about passed out today though, cause she asked me to go to the church craft show on Thursday. I have no money to spend but it will be nice to get out and socialize. Fun fun.

The roommates' kitten tore into my knee. They acted like it was no big deal. The kitten can do no wrong.

Today I loaned a ton of Woman's World magazines from the local library. YEA! My favorite magazine. If I get anxiety, I can always read the anxiety away. When I go through magazines, I like to find the hidden gems as opposed to what the diet of the week is. Although, sometimes there are really neat diets.

Well, this is my dissertation for tonight. If you are up late, message me or something. I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
ON_A_DIET

I have been working like a mad woman with a job and quite a few side hustles. With the holidays coming up, I want to be able to get my family and friends some nice things as opposed to what I could only afford the past few years. I know Christmas is not all about presents, but I love to see the looks on their faces when opening up their presents.

Then, after Christmas, I will be saving up to FINALLY buy a vehicle.

I just know God will pull through for me.

Have a super day.

Hey...

How are you? What are YOUR plans for the weekend?

Me? I will be crafty this weekend. I am tired of writing as a fruitless job. All hard work with no appreciation. No person saying, "Your article taught me something" or "Super article". Where with crafts, you are going to make a person smile and they will think of you at every glance of it, not to mention so will their family and guests.

As for crafts, I educate myself on-line with YouTube.

My weight is not changing. Still at a plateau. I am not going to stress about it though. Doing so would only create more cortisol.

For some odd reason, my homemade diet lemon iced tea is not strong enough. I have even been using 12 tea bags now. Any idea?

Well, I will close for now. Have a super day and do something you like. I know what you mean though..."like" doesn't always pay the bills. I look at it this way, if I scrimp and save and do what I like, it will mean more.

Happy Sparking!

I just get worn out. I just cannot seem to lose a pound. Any words of wisdom?

What would be better? Fitness pedal exercising, walking, chair exercises, etc. I want to do something I like to do. But all options seem the same...not good enough.

I have drunk diet Dr. Pepper today and felt on top of the universe! I have been drinking so much homemade diet lemon iced tea. A real soda was sooooo nice!

Went out to lunch and shopping with a loved one today. I have not checked my pedometer on my shoe yet to see how far we walked.

Do you know of any good walking DVDs (just not Leslie Sansone)?

I found a new exercise challenge. i like the instructor (paula b)some of the videos are ok too, but as a challenge it is too unorganized. that and there are too many seated routines. i sit all day. i dont want to sit for my workout. i did regular jumping jacks instead of the chair jacks. i am finiding it either too easy or some moves that i dont have the coordniation for. i think i am going to move to some other videos for the next week and then start a new challenge for in october.

i just got some great advice from a message board about some stretching and footwear to help my calves from getting tight so i can kick up my cardio intensity without worrying about pain.

my eating - terrible. i eat too large portions, to many low nutrition foods and do many sugary bevareages - 1 saving grace: i drink a lot of water

tonight i finished 4 weeks in a row of my strength training. i progressed to using heavier weights

Hello team!

Just a short message.

I am going to be on Sparkpeople today, then work.

Lately, I have been thinking about setting up a daily appointment for exercise. I am not a morning person, so probably around 5:00pm or so would be good. It is not "when" you exercise...just get it done!

Following, I am so wondering why not one person is joining my pro-life team. It is not some political activist team. It is simply a team to pray for those who cannot. Totally harmless and non-violent. Would you think about joining?

On the job front, I ordered Writers' Market from the library 3 weeks ago and is still not in. I want to find magazines accepting book reviews. I am good at book reviews and would not mind doing them for money. It is still freelance work, though. I would love to have a job doing on-line weight loss coaching. Still not giving up!

Today, I am drinking warm water with lemon to cleanse. uuugh

Be good!

tiday curves and jenny craig representatives were at my workplace. i was not interested in curves. i love to workout at home. that way i never have a good excuse to do nothing. i did find myself contemplating jenny craig i need more structure in my eating plan. as uch as i hate to say it i thing i need to give up winging it anf make a specific plan and adhere to it "most of the time". i know perfection is not the goal but i want to progress to being healthy without fighting my own habits.

Hey team!

During the past 2 days, I have been job searching. I just cannot find the right job. There just has not been one that is a perfect fit. I have looked at sales, blogging, writing, editing, book reviewing and on and on. I still dream of having a fitness and nutrition job. I applied to a company called WeightNot, but never heard from them, other than an e-mail stating that they got the application.

A few days ago, I went over tons of writing prompts, of which were basically useless. I got even more writers' block!

So, earlier today, I had a stress-breaker. I went out with the neighbor to a yard sale and thrift shop. I bought a ton of useful stuff for about $20.00. All useful. 4 new workout DVDs...everything from Prevention's Chris Freytag to Biggest Loser! Cookbooks. Sandwich maker. T-shirt. Fitness books.

Gosh, I even feel guilty for being on Sparkpeople instead of job-hunting even if for a couple of hours!

I have a library book that is about making salads in jars. One of the jar recipes is for Burger in a jar... and another is about Tuna in a jar (Deli style)...both salads. Later on tonight, I want to clean out my fridge and make room for jars. I think it is an excellent idea to have these jars made ahead of time for when I am hard at work and too stubborn to make something for lunch. I usually just throw some lunchmeat or cheese or peanut butter on bread. Yes, this is good to do.

I have a new pedometer and do NOT like it. Instead of wearing on your wrist or on your shoe, you have to keep it in your pocket. So, guess who has to wear pockets every day? It was the only store to have a pedometer in stock so I had to buy it. I hate not knowing how many miles/steps I have walked.

Well, I have potatoes (with butter & oil) in the crockpot then I will add pasta the last half hour of cooking. Spiced up with garlic salt, onion powder, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, but we are out of parsley..

I have a very exciting life, huh? LOL Thanks for being my Sparkfriends!

Be good and Spark on!

Hello!

Just a short message today. I saved enough writing prompts from pinterest to keep me busy for a million years! Oh well, atleast I will not have writers' block for a while!

I would like to create my own Mediterranean Diet Sparkteam. Would you be interested?

I am having my morning iced coffee. FYI You can get French Vanilla and Hazelnut at Dollar Tree for a buck a bag. My favorite is chocolate raspberry by Arbuckle, but $4.99 a bag. I just cannot afford it.

It figures that I want to lay out today and the clouds are already blocking the sun. uuugh

Not sure what I want to throw in the crockpot today. Any recipes you'd like to share?

Well, I will sign off for now. Be good today and Spark on.

i have a new phone and i downloaded a hitt timer app. now i just have to find a routine so i can try it out. it is silly that i only did hit in videos because it had the timer and the move all ready for me. but now i can add a session after doing some low impact.
i am doing a walking challenge at work so i want to make sure i am getting my 70000 steps a week.. it is easier to get steps if i make sure i walk around a at night instad of staying on my butt.

i am almost done with my beginner shred challenge. i did 9 of 10 days for level 1 and 2.
for level 3 i missed 2 days . i almost quit the challenge early. i put off doing th workut most of the day. i was stiff and crabby. after sitting for a few minutes i decided to suck it up and start. i did not do the burpies. but i did the full side planks and did the mountain climbers with more emphesis.

I've had to many rest days this past week. 2 nights i was really tired. i laid down for a quick nap.
1 night i slept for 2 hours and another i slept for 3. i did so some light cleaning/organizing tasks those nights.
i start week 4 of my hiit for beginners on sunday. i am wondering what my plan should be next.
i genearlly stay more focused and add more variation/intensity if i do a specific challenge.

I've started a new workout challenge - hiit for beginners. i want to add the intensity of my workouts, but i like specific programs to keep me focused and to help stay focused.

todays exercise was to getting up early to spend about 7 hours helping my sister move. mostly packing boxes, carrying boxes, and taking boxes up and down stairs. no actual worout today, but still over 15,000 steps. may do a stretch or light fluidity workout later.
