I haven't done much today. DH had a doctor appointment this morning then we decided to go to a movie.We were in the theater and suddenly he said "we can't stay. I forgot I have another doctor appointment at 4". I told him the movie was 90 minutes and it was scheduled to start at 2. Okay the previews do and they ran on for a good 20 minutes. We were 20 minutes late for his appointment but they were good with that. Now I just need to catch the tail end of the movie.

I think we can all (or most) understand the frustration of the scale going up and down. I didn't weight at all on vacation but tried to spend more time watching what I ate rather than that darn scale as it's just too frustrating. Hope Spark Coach helps you-there are several levels as you progress and the coach is available to talk.

Well, my husband didn't get the riding mower started so I spent about 90 minutes pushing the mower through the yard. We had rain in the forecast this afternoon and we really need it but nothing happened. Just before dinner I went out front and swept off the sidewalk (oak tree is shedding everything I am allergic to) and my grandson helped get it in the trash can and down to the curb. That's just a small part of what is out there but hopefully it means I don't have to walk in it when we head to church. I showered after mowing and now I need to shower off the oak dust because I am itching and can't breathe well. Oak trees are beautiful but they are also deadly to some of us!!

I got an hour in the pool with water aerobics and tomorrow should be walking behind the mower in the front yard while my husband rides one through the backyard. Hope everyone is doing well

Good going. I went to the gym for the Silver Sneakers class. We had the one instructor who wants to catch all the body parts so class ran about 10 minutes late. I think only one person left early. She even used the steps today because we all need to be able to do them.

lol, Kerry! emoticon I do know they are like chickens in the fact they don't come in out of the rain. like me, they don't like wind!

it's another windy day, speaking of that, with high fire danger yet again. I am grateful to have found a LS cd I haven't used in awhile so i'll get inside exercise today.

A pool sounds lovely.

Funny thing. I have a kiddie sandbox I used as a duck pond. I mentioned to hubby I was going to put water in it for the goat. he thought I intended the summer, 3' deep pool!

I got an hour in the pool this morning, stopped by the doctor's office to see if we could actually get a refill on my prescription, had lunch with Larry and was told by our youngest daughter that we are going to be grandparents again. I think we were both in shock so didn't really say much. emoticon

It was a great vacation and a nice way to celebrate Larry's retirement. A lot of those sites can be seen if anyone gets to Vegas so if you're ever out that way-check them out.

I got into the pool for water aerobics for the first time since the beginning of March and then went to the dentist for a root canal. The pool was a lot more fun!!

Our first day home from a 4 week driving vacation (7000 miles) to 7 National Parks and one state park plus visiting family and friends, plus the Chattanooga aquarium, I got to spend several hours at the dentist with a sore tooth. Tomorrow I get to see a specialist who will decide if I need a root canal. If I do that will mean a crown and we're talking one of them top front teeth. I am just so excited about all that!! I will be going to the gym for water aerobics before I head up to the dentist. I did some raking and bagging leaves today-gotta get back on track with exercise.

Well, it doesn't look like I'll be doing much of anything today since I reached for something in the car and my left hip popped hard. It still hurts some but works fine. I think taking it easy will be a good idea though I still have to go up and down the stairs in my brother's condo.

I'm glad we went out to walk that sculpture park yesterday as it was sunny and upper 70's while today is cloudy, windy and 40! No real plans-just the brothers enjoying time together.

I did a lot of walking Tuesday but since then it's justbeen up and down sstairs. I am not used to any stairs other than in and out of the pool. We have no stairs in Florida. My hips and back aren't liking it a lot but it is something I need to learn and build those muscles.

Can't do any LS videos yet as I'm doing my stretching exercises to try to heal my IT band issue. I'm hoping it will heal and I can get back to doing my favorite type of exercise and that's walking. I just have to take one day at a time and do whatever it takes to get it healed and back to normal.

We are in the car getting close to Atlanta -first day of our big retirement vacation. The main destination is the Grand Canyon but visiting family first in Nebraska and Colorado. My 91 year old dad lives in Lincoln wherewe both grew up.

awww!

it was around zero overnight. I decided to get the woodstove going but was just so tired. needless to say the house is chilly this morning. A good dose of a LS workout should get me going!

That IT band is the worst! I had problems with mine for a LONG time but it seems to have disappeared since I had that hip replaced. Between the hip and the spine being twisted due to arthritis the IT band got really messed up. Do the stretches and use the roller on it if you can. Hope it eases up soon.

Very frustrated today! Planned on do a 51 min. workout using one of my new DVDs and started but couldn't continue as my IT band problem really flared up. The pain was awful. It didn't go away and I could barely walk all through the morning. Had to take something for the pain and never did do my exercise. Hope tomorrow is better. That IT band just feels like it's burning pain now and is so sore. Maybe a good nights sleep will ease it down. I want to exercise tomorrow.

Yep, that is the only thing that's important. Keep on Moving!! If you do a tape and get tired, you can sit down and move your legs and arms, if you have a problem with balance then hold onto a chair while you do the kicks, etc...

I haven't gotten my morning spark messages but it's time to get to the pool so I will check again when I get home.

I can relate to that, Kerry. Sometimes it seems so easy. Other times it is a challenge. I love her encouraging words to just move and do what we can.
