Fall & Winter Chat - 2019

Janet — I did some cleaning looking for 2 missing puzzle pieces and an iPhone today. Good grief!

Dorothy — The snow is coming down full force here!

D20 and I were both moody this morning before her first class and I wouldn't let her out of the car until we agreed on a few things on how the day was going to go. So she got to class late and it let out early. The funny thing was the last presenter came in later than she so she was the only audience he had. She said it was a short but sweet informative speech about Romania. Glad someone got to listen other than the professor.

She came home for a couple hours to sleep and then headed to two afternoon classes and a night class. After dropping her off I got a few groceries before the winter storm rolled in. The worst I had to deal with was the dense fog.

Khol - hope you were able to get your lesson plans done. I get distracted as well from to much noise and concussion,.

It has been archery hunting for the last couple of weeks - rifle begins the Saturday after Thanksgiving in PA and the week before in NY.

Janet - so very frustrating when something falls and it is impossible to find - where do these things go?

Nice when the under dogs win!

Michael came over yesterday and helped me to get my freezer moved - mission accomplished. The doors are not quite what I wanted but Mike wanted to be involved and it is hard to get anything accomplished when he is trying to be the boss - lol But I can work on the doors. I am sure Michael and I could have had it done in half the time with out his help. Michael's girlfriend helped me to get Mikes hose put away as well so that is all done. Yea! Getting in pretty good shape - not looking forward to winter but there is nothing I can do to stop it. We are under an winter advisory starting tonight and ending tomorrow morning.

Dorothy~Glad the snow melted off quickly. I always feel badly for the deer who get hit by vehicles. I have never figured out with the "why" as most animals have such keen safety skills.

Kohl~Good for you getting the "easier" parts done for the puzzle. LOL I got mine finished this afternoon and I was right that I had dropped one piece of this shape, but I wasn't able to find it.



I took the puzzle and table down afterwards and moved everything again around that area and still nothing. Got some cleaning done though. LOL

Enjoyed the games today as they were decided right at the last seconds and some of the underdogs won.

Dorothy — Those deer are becoming a real problem. I had two close calls myself and also almost slammed into a car that had just hit a deer. When is hunting season?

Janet — I didn't get my lesson plans done Friday night or Saturday night for a similar reason...the girls were making too much noise! The kitchen is my cozy corner but sometimes I find it too busy for me to think.

Our sermon today was an excellent one on Ananias and Sapphira. Going to take D20 to the library in a bit and work the puzzle there while she browses for books. Yesterday I found all of the borders and put them together. D15 and I put a horse together that looked blue from shadow. The rest of the puzzle will be harder to do as the colors are subtle. Seems much quieter at home today so I suppose I can also get to those lesson plans.

Khol - that is neat that they have a puzzle table at the library. I wonder if ours does. I have not been to the library in a very long time. I use to take Michael for all of the children's programs and then we use to go for the free Monday night movie. My mom still goes to the movies now an then - I should go with her some time.

Sorry about the blisters - ouch - you are right - others can finish them up.

Janet - luckily it was in the 40's yesterday and should be again today with sun so most of the snow has melted.

Nice that Maegann is able to touch up your roots.

I got my basement area cleaned that I needed to yesterday so hopefully Michael and I can get the freezer in today and then close up the outside doors for the winter. I also got the wall painted in the basement where the freezer is going - getting it done one section at a time.

As I was not sure how much snow was at the cabin Mike took me up in the truck to get the laundry and do a quick cleaning. As it turned out I think they got less than us and I would have been fine driving my van there. On the way home a small doe ran into the side of the truck. Luckily the driver behind us was able to put him out of his misery as he broke his back legs - makes me so sad.

Dorothy~That’s a lot of snow for the first storm. Are your temps going to drop so it will melt quickly?

Kohl~Nice that your daughters are enjoying DD20’s friend. Nice that you can work on a puzzle at the library.

Maegann did a good job on the root retouch this morning and then I worked on the finances once home. I almost got the figures for the October budget balanced to Quicken comparison report, but gave up as the boys and the dogs were all becoming a bit noisy so I couldn’t concentrate. Did a little time with the puzzle, but tomorrow I’ll get a lot more as it is football day.

Janet — My husband and I are done with Father Brown. What to do? What to do? Hope you two find a new series to enjoy together.

Dorothy — That does sound like a mess! It was extremely cold here but no snow so I was able to rake the front yard yesterday.Got myself some open blisters from the new rake so the rest of the raking is not my worry. There are five other capable people living in this house.

I had a steady day yesterday until bedtime. D20 has a friend over from high school and that is nice for her, actually for all of the girls. They can hang out together and each be doing their own thing and be fine with it.

Today I plan to visit the puzzle table at the library while the girls rehearse. They want to visit the library for another stash of books so I'll swing by the theatre after practice and head back to the library for more puzzle time. Hoping at least one puzzle friend will be there.

Janet - it will be nice to get this over and get it all behind you. Sounds like the kind of Dr we all need to have,. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

What a mess we had yesterday. It snowed over night. When I went to work I just had too sweep off my steps. Got to work and it turned into a white out - right in the middle of rush hour and kids getting to school. Accidentals everywhere as well as people getting stuck as it was the wet heavy snow. We have trucks coming into the plant all day long filling there tankers with gas for delivery to the stations and they were even getting stuck. It was just crazy. The hill going up to the high school and elementary came to a stand still with lots of kids on buses. Luckily it slowed down and they were able to get everything plowed and back to normal. That meant I had to come home and shovel as it all came while I was at work. Well - thats over with now - our first big snow of the year - I think we got over 6 inches.

Dorothy~Looks like leaves may be Sunday around here instead as Tim is off to help Wendell with fences tomorrow. I think that may be what I need to think about...some generic bulk cooking so there is plenty of stuff ready to throw together. Like Kohl, I should start using that crock pot more often too.

Doctor appointment is done. He is a very kind doctor and he had studied my file as he knew it by heart. Not used to that! He did agree that a D&C would be necessary and left it up to me if I wanted to do the endometrial biopsy today or just take care of everything with the D&C. Will be hearing from his office next week to schedule the procedure. The end result will either be it was nothing harmful, hyperplasia or cancer. I really don't believe it is the last option, but the percentage increases with age and higher weight.

Once home I could tell my anxiety level was lessening as all I wanted to do was sleep. I tried to do some work, but just couldn't stay focused so gave it up for the day. Took a long nap with Auggie on my lap and then spent time on my puzzle.

Tonight I'm enjoying Longmire with Tim by a nice fire. We only have a couple more episodes and the series is over so we'll have to find something new.

Khol - glad you had some time to yourself - sounds like you could use it.

I love using my crock pot!

I still have more leaves to clean up but the one I got moved were two pile I had raked up last week and I needed to get them moved. So at least the majority of them are done. It is suppose to be decent here this weekend so I may be able to get more done and I think I can use the blower on them. But like you they are just so wet. So makes it harder. But the main thing I want to get done this weekend is to get my freezer moved and that means I have to clean a spot for it in the basement,

Janet - that is exactly what happend to me with cooking - everyone's hours were so out of wack that I just started bulk cooking on the weekends - was so much easier. And now I don't really have to do that anymore.

Good luck at your Dr appointment - hope all goes well. I have to make an appointment for my mammogram.

Had an appointment after work yesterday and then ran to aldis. Hubby needed some dog food and I wanted to grab a few things. Then straight home and relaxed the rest of the night. Been going to bed a bit earlier since it is so dark out and I love getting up in the early haours and getting stuff done around here.

Kohl~Hope you were able to attend the class tonight. I need to get the bug to prepare meals again. Adjusting to less people to feed depending on schedules and travels has placed me in a "I don't really care" place and that's not good.

Dorothy~Glad you got the leaves done before the cooler temps set in. We are hoping to get the back yard done Saturday and then we'll be finished for the season.

My day was spent resting and trying to keep my brain busy so I wouldn't just think about the doctor appointment tomorrow morning. I am very thankful it is almost here (again) but dislike so much unknown. New doctor. What procedure will be offered. Ugh!

Janet — I had an hour to myself yesterday and it was wonderful. Glad you were able to take it easy as you had expected.

Dorothy — Nice to get the leaves done! Every time I have been free to work on that the weather has been ugly...maybe Saturday.

Yesterday my husband had an afternoon interview so that meant in addition to my drop offs in the morning I had to do the pickups too. D20 needs to take one of her meds as close to 5:00pm as possible so since I couldn't be home to cook I put the defrosted hamburger into the crockpot with sliced onions that had been microwaved for three minutes. When I got back after my hour to and from the meat was nicely browned. I poured in the spaghetti sauce and a can of petite diced tomatoes and let the crock pot do its thing. All I had to do then was cook the spaghetti noodles. We ate at 5:20. Getting good at making it work!

Today I had time in the afternoon to rake but it's been raining all morning with temperatures dropping with a forecast of snow by noon. I'll just have to see if the leaves are moveable and if the yard is too slippery especially the side hill. I have my last NAMI Family-to-Family class tonight so I am hoping the weather doesn't get too bad and keep us from having class.

Janet - goodness - no wonder he wants to play basketball. them are some big feet and a very tall boy.

Nice that you were able to get your weekend in Seattle booked. .

I finally got my piles of leaves I had raked up out frond for the city to pick up. Still have more to clean up but the piles are at least gone and the majority of them. I went between a rake and a leaf blower.

Thinking I need to work in the basement over the next couple of days and clean up and organize another area so I can get my freezer over here - then I can get the 2 outside doors to the basement buttoned up for the winter. I think our warm days are behind us and I should not need to use them during the winter.

Kohl~Yes, I have a giant! His shoes are 15, but I can tell he’s starting to toe out of them which means we’ll soon be looking for “special” sized ones. Ugh! We figure he’s going to be about 6’ 7” at least. Whew! We’re all looking pretty short these days!

Dorothy~I’m finally acclimating to the cooler temps, but you’re right…we didn’t have a chance to prepare for the change of season.

I didn’t do much of anything today, but I was planning for that to happen. Got a few needed things done and also got the weekend in Seattle booked for Dec. 7. Maegann is so excited.

Janet - that is abut how tall Michael is as well. I feel like a dwarf beside him.

Never thought about how it must feel when your body is stretching like that.

Khol - sounds like things are going smoothly in your life, community choir sounds like it would be fun, And helping your daughter on campus sounds nice too. I bet the campus is beautiful.

I do like getting to bed early and getting up early - I have never been a night owl.

Cold,wet and dreary here yesterday. I came home and hibernated. Did a few things around the house. Good thing I get so much done is the nice weather months. I think once I get use to this weather I will do better - it just came up so fast - even though I know it was coming. But to go from the 60's one day into the 30's the next is a shock on the poor body.

Dorothy — The dark early evenings are helping me head to bed earlier which makes it easier to get up earlier and get some stuff done before my morning commute.

Janet —Isaaac's been growing like a weed. Sounds like you've got a giant on your hands!

Mondays are long but rewarding. I am really enjoying being part of the community chorus with D23 and D15. We have begun working on Christmas pieces for the Festival of Lights in December.

Today I helped D20 study for an art history test which focused on Roman and Greek art. I helped her come up with mnemonics to remember the slight name differences of the places, artists, and pieces. Enjoyed walking on campus while she took her test...90 minutes!

We got our chimney sealed up and fixed (brick falling apart in places) last year. Much needed with the weather those take! Glad you and Mike are getting yours done.

This morning was 1:1 time with Isaac. Doctor appointment at 9:30 and then we went to McD's for lunch before I dropped him back at the school. It was a good morning. His shin splints are actually the muscles and tendons stretching to accommodate all the bone growth. Can't imagine why now that he's 6'3" tall.

Once home I spent a couple of hours getting my Bible study lessons finished up for tomorrow. Then I did some paid work that had to be addressed today. Now I need to go get supper in the oven and then I'll spend some time on the puzzle.

Sounds like a good day with Maegann and a good plan for the airport.

It is getting dark out so early. But nice that it is daylight out when I go to work again - lol!

Mike and I went to Aldis last night after work and then he did a little sealing on our chimney - apparently there has been some water sneaking its way in. He did it from the attic - next spring we will have to have someone get on the roof and seal it from the outside and point the chimney. Typically he would do it but it is a metal roof and I do not want him on it.

Kohl~Sounds like a very nice Sunday.

Dorothy~Sounds like every day with Isaac! LOL

Today was mostly 1:1 time with Maegann. Had her NeuroPsych appointment and then our routine is to go to Chipotle. We are planning a Seattle trip to give her a trial run at surviving airports and airplanes before she heads to LA for the school trip. Just something to help that anxiousness of the unknown. Last time she flew was 10 years ago to Florida and she really doesn't remember it since the concussion.

Well...it's dark out and the house is quiet. Tim isn't home from work yet and Isaac's in his room. Time for the jigsaw puzzle if the lighting is okay.

I did get some leaves raked Saturday before I left - maybe I can finish them today after work. The good news is that the tress are bare.

Khol - love the pumpkins. Sounds like a good weekend,

Janet - nice to make it a family project. Glad Tim was around to help.

Going with hubby is so slow moving - I could pull out my hair but I force myself to pull myself to stay clam. We were 2 hours late getting out of here because I had to keep prodding him and then took him 2 hours to get moving yesterday. And when we dropped the wood off at the cabin he wanted to visit with the hunters,. Gah. Must be nice to not have any type of schedule. Back to work for me today.

But it was nice visiting with my daughter and my grand kids.

Janet — It was a perfect day to rake leaves here but it just didn't happen. So glad that you were able to get your front yard done.

My day was church with brunch, walking, grading health, Sparking, walking, making stir-fry, grading math, and Sparking!

My day was church, football, jigsaw puzzle and helping with the leaf pick-up. We still have the back yard to finish but nice having the front cleared off at least.

Kohl~I think I had 3 pieces .... 2 snickers and a milky way. LOL

Dorothy~Hope the trip for firewood went smoothly.

Quiet day here and has been nice having Tim around. I did about half of my monthly budget reviews for paid work and watched a movie at the same time. Tomorrow is church, football and bagging up leaves (family project).

Hello! I can't say I was smart enough to send the candy with someone like you two...I had quite a bit last night...Let's see...Twizzlers, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, Kit Kat, Werther's Creme Filled Caramel...done now though. Had my fun!

Janet - that is what I do with my left over candy - take it to work and put it in the candy jar for the men. I did save a bowl aside for Michael and his girl friend.

Wow - from the 60''s to the 30's - my body is having a hard time adjusting. So was a lazy night for me. I did run the sweeper and folded towels but mostly lazed around.

Today hubby and I are going to Buffalo to my daughters to get a load of wood. We will probably spend the night and head back in the morning. Michael will check on the dog.

Kohl~Sounds like a good plan with the college to help your DD. Was easier to navigate at the high school level I would imagine, which is what I had to do with similar situations. I agree with Dorothy...totally understandable about the DH letting his steam out, but frustrating. Hugs!

Dorothy~Nice that you took care of the Trick or Treaters who were out in the weather.

We only had 4 groups of kids all night so when Maegann and her bunch got home we dumped the bowl of chocolate into the kiddos bag who they had taken so that it wasn't left in our house. They all had a fun time of Trick or Treating and dinner at Applebees.





I had another morning of extra sleep. Next was a tiny bit of paid work and now email and SP time. Watched a cute Christmas movie called "Christmas Camp" while I was at the computer. Next up...cleaning up the kitchen, figuring out a plan for supper and then jigsaw puzzle time. Tim is already on the ground in Boise so he'll be home tonight after work and a visit to Costco.

Janet - I was back and forth on handing out candy as it was so nasty out - rainy and windy. But I turned on my light and i was surprised how many kids I got - bless there hearts.

Khol - so sorry to hear all what is going on with the family. Sounds to me like you are the only one hubby feels comfortable to let out his steam on., Unfair - yes but totally understandable. But he needs to realize how frustrating all of this is on you as well.

Your harvest celebration sounds cute.

So happy with how my van turned out - the guy was a bit pricey but did such a nice job and luckily I only had to pay for the inside.

Dorothy — No trick or treaters here with that nippy wind and rain that turned to snow.

Janet — Scooby Doo is so hard for me to stomach. I have a niece who for the longest time insisted that she was going to marry Scooby when she became old enough.

Stayed with my daughter on campus yesterday. She only had one class. We went to the registrar to fill out a FERPA form so my husband and I can communicate fluidly with university staff and faculty. Then we went to the family doctor to update insurance information for the 2019-2020 academic year. What's left is for her to decide whether her new phychiatrist or her tried and true counselor will fill out the student accessibility form. Her advisor explained to her that based on what she was saying professors would be more lenient on attendance once this is signed. She woulld still be accountable for all the work but how it was managed might look a little different from other students without a disability. With an excused ten day stay in the hospital she is looking at incomplete for her courses with six weeks after the semester ends to make it up.

The two of us shopped for Halloween candy and party food and went to Steak n Shake for party hour pricing on shakes. She missed out on having a shake with us on my birthday because of her hospital stay.

I went to my 9th Family-to Family class this evening. It focused on the importance of self care.

When I returned home my husband and I had a spat. Afterward he said he noticed that he has a shorter fuse with me than with anyone else. Then he said I wonder why that is. No apology but I'll take what I can get. Acknowledgement is a wee step. Also, the younger girls had carved their pumpkins and we had a harvest celebration! D12 even made a dragon costume to wear.

Nice to get the van detailed. Mine really needs that deep attention.

With our cold temps it will be interesting to see how many trick-or-treaters come our way. We didn't have many last year either. Don't really miss the mass of kids we had in the subdivision!

I did not sleep well at all last night, but I did this morning. Oops! When I woke up I had a horrible headache and I'm trying sinus meds right now to see if I can lessen it a bit. Tonight is Scooby Doo "binge watching" according to Isaac. Not ready for that!

Janet - hope you had a good nap.

We are under a high wind warning tonight into tomorrow morning. And it is suppose to be rainy all day as well. Will be interesting to see if we get many halloweeners. It is also the last day of our mild weather for a while.

Getting my van detailed today. Where I work is paying for the outside and I am paying for the inside.

Dorothy~Nice that Mike got the wood stacked for you. I need to go grab some for our fire tonight!

Bible study was very good this morning. I have spent time getting some paid work done and once finished with SP I think the sofa is calling my name.

Janet - sounds like a win win for you. The kids are happy it makes mama happy. I am sure Isaac will adjust to his aide and I bet you will be able to rest better knowing he has someone on his side with him at all times.


Mike is heading to the Drs today. He did pretty good at getting the wood stacked. I must say I was very impressed. He did that while I cleaned. I did take out the last dozen pieces but he did all of the rest. Hunters are arriving today for 10 days - that will give Mike some time to heal before he attempts to go hunting again. Hopefully my SIL will be around the next time he goes out.

Dorothy~You hear of that a lot with the bow hunting. Did Mike go get the ribs checked out?

Today was bitter cold and the wind chill.... whew! I was able to keep the house quite warm all day and didn't need a fire until about 7 this evening to take the chill back off. Fire has almost burnt out and I think an hour is enough for tonight. Supposed to be cold like this again tomorrow, but maybe without the wind. The wind was helpful with the leaves though...pretty much "raked" them up into piles along buildings and fences.

Isaac did okay with the aide yesterday, but said he didn't like how closely she followed him around. I told him that she is just learning how you function and where you are on the campus at different times. I also encouraged him to communicate with her to help when you are going to the bathroom or to get a drink. I didn't hear anything today either way so I'm guessing it went better.

Maegann had a great day at school and was full of fun stories of the day and for the next two. She was happy to learn she can try for level 2 on the 19th of November since she missed out on it this month. Thursday night she is going with Kim to take her little brother out trick or treating. She also invited Jeff to go with them and honestly I am thankful for several reasons. After they let Kim's brother get some candy they are going to Applebees for dinner. Sounds like a fun evening and all of them are dressing up.

I got the paid work done that I wanted to and then finished the current jigsaw puzzle before taking on the Bible study lessons for tomorrow. I have a couple more pages to finish and will do those later tonight.

Janet - brr! Hopefully soon the furnace will be connected.

Glad Tim had a much better flight this time.

Glad Maegann got her rest.

Can't wait to hear how Issac made out.

Rest of the leaves came down across the street so I got them mulched. But the neighbors yard is full of trees so I am sure that is not the end of the leaves in my yard. But at least should be the end of the majority of them. Also have a tree on this side of the road above the garage and it is still loaded and they are very big. Mulched them twice already. Today I have to go clean the cabin as my hunters are arriving for 10 days. Speaking of hunting - Mike was hunting over the weekend and shot a buck with a bow and was trying to find it and slipped and fell. He thinks he may have broke some ribs. I am thinking he should not be out hunting alone anymore. Ugh! And he never did find the deer. I am beginning to think that bow hunting is inhumane,. My SIL shot one a couple of years ago and was never able to find it.

Oh my gosh.... tax time is coming up fast once again! Too funny to even say that Dorothy!

Tim left about 8 this morning and is now in Reno. This time he had a direct flight out and got off on time. Maegann just woke up about 2pm -- She's worked two nights of closing in a row and was exhausted. No work tonight...rest up for school tomorrow. Isaac's had a good day at school and his 1:1 aide started today. Anxious to hear how that went once he gets back from open gym. As for me... I have one plan draft almost completed, but put it aside to finish tomorrow. I am trying to keep the fire going as the place is just not getting warm with the extreme lows and our actual furnace is not connected yet. Time to move to my puzzle by the fireplace!

Janet = Brr - we are to have another mild week before we head into that type of temps.

Smart move for Maegann. Hard to go to school and work - Michael is doing the same thing - gives him very little down time. Luckily he has the weekends off at both places.

Yesterday was much quieter - thank you rain, I did run out and get groceries and stopped in to see my mom.

I ran the dry vac in the basement and then hauled it to the attic to run it up there. Also hauled up three totes of stuff from the cabin to store for the winter. I do not dare to leave anything nice up there for hubby or he will just strain it all up. He is so careless. And then I worked on my finances as I am so behind on them and have to get them caught up as tax time will be here before we know it.

Dorothy~Glad you got so many of the leaves taken care of before the rain. We didn’t get ours done yet so it’s going to be a huge project when we get to it. Oh well.

Weather….. I’m ready for the freeze.



I slept very well again last night, but still tired so know I’m not caught up yet. Of course tomorrow Tim leaves for Reno again, but I’m going to do my best to head to bed earlier than I have been when he’s gone.

Otherwise, my day was church, football and working on the jigsaw puzzle. Isaac’s getting a bath and Maegann snagged another shift at work so she’ll be home around 2:30am. Thankfully she now has less hours each week scheduled and then picks up shifts when she can so we’ve told her to watch for Sunday’s and Monday’s since she’s off both there and school.

Janet - I watched blacklist last night as well. Love that show. I should work on my finances today,. It is rainy and windy outside so a good day to do that.

We have been blessed with a mild fall. Still suppose to be in the 60's all next week. we have had some cold morning and some cooler days but most of it has been mild.

Busy day yesterday - I was trying to beat the rain and was finishing just as it started to rain. I cleaned my bedroom and changed the sheets. Cleaned both bathrooms. Ran the sweeper throughout the house. Then headed outside. Got both neighbors yards mowed. Than started working on ours,. I planted some of the mums hubby bought - sometimes they come back - sometimes they don't, Got both our front lawns mowed. And then started raking out back at hubs. Oh my goodness. So many leaves. Got most of them raked and then mulched the rest with the lawn mower. I will probably have to do it a couple of more times this week. And then finished my back yard - cleaning hubbys mess he made while fixing my gutters. Can I just say I was pooped and my feet hurt when I was done. Today it is still raining and windy so I will straighten up inside - as there is much to straighten up.

Dorothy~We actually had a couple rain storms and saw snow for awhile too. Temperature is dropping fast and 40 is supposed to be our high tomorrow.

Slept very well last night and got a couple extra hours in after I made sure Maegann got out the door to school. I didn't do a whole lot today, but got the finances updated and most of the October budget numbers down. I then moved to the jigsaw puzzle until Tim was done for the day and ready to catch up on the week's recorded shows (Survivor, Voice & Blacklist).

Today is suppose to be sunny part of the day and then the rain will move in. Tomorrow will be a good day to either clean the house - which it desperately needs or start in the next area of the basement that I need to clean out. Today I will be outside as much as possible getting lawns mowed and leaves raked.

I will also have to run to the cabin - may wait until Monday - Michael and his friends stayed there last night.

I didn't do much today as I did not escape Isaac's cold. At least I didn't have a ton of things that had to be finished.

Janet - glad you had such a good day. You deserved a good one. I like my prescription glasses as well.

My hair is all cut and colored - loving the look. Then I had to run to Jamestown which is about 26 miles away to the AT&T store. I have been trying to get y daughters boyfriend and his son on my phone plan and get them new phones. They wanted to bring there own numbers. I was doing it all on line. Getting the lines authorized to move over took forever and then when that was finally done one phone was back ordered. I tried switching the color and no can do. Finally talked to someone who said I could go to the Jamestown store and get a phone. When the other one arrives I will send it back. Now I have to make sure they honor the buy one get one free. I am sure it is going to be ongoing problems for a couple of months. But it is finally done.

Dorothy~Glad the washer/dryer is working again.

Had a fun morning visiting with old homeschool friends. My windows are so clean now too! It was fun watching Faith's little girls while us moms visited and she worked. Massage followed and I fell asleep. Afterwards I went to Costco to pick up my new glasses. I really like having prescription sunglasses for the first time in my life. My eyes are having to adjust to the difference in the lenses so they are tired, but I can tell things are focusing better.

Aw Janet - what a day. Hopefully everything will calm down for a while.

It was beautiful here - chilly but beautiful and suppose to be again today.

Never made it to the cabin - Mike was ready to hook up the washer and dryer so I hovered in case he needed anything - and he did - we had to make a trip to Lowes. Lovely having my washer and dryer up and running again.

Dorothy~I hope Mike is feeling better today. Raking....so many leaves dropped here this week and I have zero desire to rake. Thinking of hiring a kid or two who is raising money for a mission trip or something and give us all a break this year.

Well.... I believe we got rid of two boys in one day. Griffin isn't talking to her at work and she was brave enough to tell him to grow up and be nice or she would have a talk with their regional manager. She did talk with the manager and filled her in on what she had caused with Griffin and another co-worker. The manager appreciated her transparency and said she would keep an eye on the other two. While that was happening I was texting with Tim and messaging with Tayler. Tim offered some great words I could use with Tayler. Thankfully he was ready to be done as well, but had promised her he would never leave her so I told him he had kept his promise as Tim and I were telling him he needed to find a girl with less drama. He's a great guy and she would have been lucky to have him, but he was too soft spoken and she needs someone who can take her snarky ways and give it right back. Does that make any sense? Anyway.... all over for this round.

Bible study was good and then this afternoon I did a little paid work, but mostly spent time composing a text to Maegann's new counselor so she had background to previous counseling and more. Made me cry!

Janet - oh my goodness. So much drama - at least Maegann is not allowing him to bully her - good for her.

Must have been one of those days yesterday - rainy and cold here so I did not go to the cabin.

Mike ended up not going to my SIL's - he just does not feel well. It breaks my heart to see him so broken. But Carl and him did get the gutters up yesterday in the rain. I am very happy. And Carl is back home with his family in Buffalo.

Today I have got to go to the cabin and clean. I was not feeling it yesterday. My sons girlfriend came over and was raking out back across the street so I went over and helped a little She had most of it done. Tomorrow is a hair appointment.

I've been keeping pretty low key today as I'm just dragging. Got laundry done (kids') and ran my errands and then I've just been cleaning out and organizing paid work folders on the computer. Isaac should be home anytime and then I will make him a priority today as Maegann will be gone until the wee hours of the morning. Thankfully only school on Wednesday for her so she can get another evening of rest.

The boy saga continues. Tayler isn't acting on a meeting between him, Maegann and his mom to repair things as she (the mom) hasn't forgiven Maegann for hurting her little boy. Ummm... mom... be the grown up! (rolling my eyes) Tayler's mistake. Maegann told him the meeting with his mom needed to be scheduled and not "whenever" as her time is limited and she was trying to make it a priority in her schedule. He then told her she was being rude and doesn't treat people like that and more. So, within one day he has shown her the person she was moving away from, but at least now it is confirmed. However, damage control with Griffin could be difficult as she had told him she was needed to give this a try and he was hurt and saying he didn't want to talk with her. As she will see him tonight at work, I think she can get him to understand the integrity behind what she did and now she can tell him that it is definitely over and will never come up again.

Aw Janet - young love - so glad I do not have to deal with that. So emotional. She will figure it out. Eventually.

Mike did much better yesterday with my just my SIL. They got new boards put up to hang the gutters on. I painted them last night after work. And he did go to camp last night - said he really missed being up there. He is talking about going to my SIL's for a couple of days to help cut some wood and bring another load back - fingers crossed that he is able to do it.

Suppose to rain today - but we just had 3 wonderful days of sunshine and warmer temps. I will have to run to the cabin after work to clean and get the laundry.

Dorothy~Glad you had a fun and busy weekend before getting back at it on the house.

Tim did miss his connection so he spent the night in Salt Lake City and took an 8am flight to Reno this morning.

Well, the evening ended with Maegann and Tayler giving it another chance so things ended in a happy place. Now tonight the question from Maegann is "If I'm supposed to be with Tayler then why can't I stop thinking about Griffin?" Ugh! She did send him a note this afternoon telling him what was happening and why and of course he's not texting her now. Tayler is still in her life one more night anyway. I sure don't remember relationships being this time consuming and difficult!

I slept for a couple more hours once Isaac was off to school and then it was time for Ellsworth to go to the vet. Came home and did a few things but chose jigsaw puzzle time.

Janet - hope there talk did not cause too much drama.

Also hope Tim finally made his flight ok.

Friday night when I arrived at m y friends we got outside for a nice walk. Saturday morning we also took a nice walk and . I helped her move out a dresser as she had been painting a wall and could not get behind it so we finished it up together. Then we went to a couple of craft/antique shops - always so much fin to browse and look. Another one of my old friends popped in and we had a good chat. and then we got an evening walk in and a bear ran out in front of us. I think he was more frightened than we were. Or as much anyways. I left early Sunday morning as my son in law came down to help me get my gutters fixed. As long as he was here my other daughter and her boyfriend came down and we got my washer and dryer moved. My washer is hooked up but not my dryer yet. So glad they are over here. They ran to lowes to get everything to work on the gutters so hopefully he will get then done today. Everyone being here wore Mike right out - he use to always be right in the thick of things but can not take all of the confusion anymore,. Now back to work for me today.
