I've had a good Sunday. Church, football (too many teams were just off today) and working on a jigsaw puzzle. These trees are going to be difficult so did what I could and will try to get to them during daylight hours so I can see their vague differences better. Tim got out to the airport at five and he's still there as his flight keeps getting delayed. Now they are waiting on a plane to come in from Portland for them. His connection is iffy in Salt Lake now, but he made arrangements to have a hotel overnight with an early flight out in the morning to Reno if that happens. Our tradition on his flight day is to have pizza so we were all enjoying that and watching the new Aladdin when there was a knock at the door. It was Tayler so now he and Maegann are "talking" again. so much for seeing the full movie tonight unless they get done with this soon. I do believe this will be his last attempt to gain her back. Told Tim I made it little over 3 hours without any drama!

Rainy day and I'm loving it! I did choose to put off the holiday decorating until Monday because of it, but I got some cleaning done and the finances updated instead. Next stop is the jigsaw puzzle!

Enjoy your weekend with friends Dorothy!

I did paid work, got a haircut and then went to Costco to order my eyeglasses and get gas for the van. Once home I finished up a client plan draft and then couldn't keep my eyes open so took a short rest. Both kids are out tonight... Maegann at work and Isaac at the football game. Tim and I are watching Longmire.

Janet - I think we all see our dreams/goals slip through our fingers - most of us our just able to handle it better. Everything seems so much dynamic when you are teenager.,

Dinner out with the girls was nice last night and the food was delish. Heading out early afternoon to go to my friends for a couple of nights.

Glad all worked out so you can have your time with friends this weekend.

No...my day had drama once Isaac got home from open gym. It was still in the house tonight as well. Hard when you see a dream/goal slipping through your fingers, but add autism into it and not able to see there's a whole lot in between today and the goal.... whew!

Otherwise, a very quiet day for me. Tomorrow Isaac is off school for an in-service day, but Maegann is back at school so it should still be a quiet day.

Janet - what a nice day - I hope your evening went as smoothly.

All went well with Mike - what a relief. We stopped and saw Michael and had lunch at Cracker Barrel and then headed home. It rained the whole way up and the whole way back and is suppose to rain some more today. Ugh!

Tonight I am going out to eat with a small group. And tomorrow hopefully I will be on my way to my friends for a couple of nights.

Dorothy~I pray all went smoothly today, but did it?

I've had a wonderful day other than feeling a bit tired once again. Bible study was so nice and then this afternoon I did a tiny amount of paid work, checked and cleaned out email and now Sparking. Leftovers for supper so nothing to do there either.

Janet - I am so sorry - words can be so hurtful and once they leave the lips they can not be taken back. emoticon

Today is the big day - please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers - thanks!

I am hoping it all goes smoothly - I would like to get away for a couple of days to go see my girlfriend - but it all depends on how it goes today.

My son in law has offered to come help fix the gutters on Sunday so I will have to leave early Sunday to come home if I get away - but thats ok. I will see if Becky's boyfriend and Michael can come help too. And I should be able to get my washer and dryer over here then as well.

Hope you feel better tomorrow Dorothy.

Today began on a good note and continued that way until about 4:30 when Maegann was heading out. One snarky, bitter comment just dropped me. I know it shouldn't have bothered me so much, but it did. Hopefully this movie I found on VUDU will help make me laugh. (All She Wishes)

Anyway.... client meeting went very smoothly so now one more plan is checked off the list for another year. Tomorrow morning is ladies Bible study and I'm looking forward to that very much.

Quiet night here - was not feeling that good all day at work so just came home and took it easy. I did hang a few pictures.

Dorothy~That reminds me...I need to schedule the window cleaner before October is over!

I actually slept well last night and added a couple hours on for good measure this morning once Isaac left for school. I've done the "have to do" paid work, some stuff on Maegann's scholarships, taken care of email and now Sparking before I move to Bible study. I don't even have to cook tonight as Tim is taking that job since he didn't do the salmon/cabbage thing yesterday. Maegann found out that it is only open until 2am on Friday/Saturday so she was home about 2 this morning. I let her sleep until noon and now she's working down her to do list that I gave her. Scholarships was #1.

Janet - what a shift - ugh. I bet you did not sleep well with her being out even if it was for work.

Tim's supper sounds amazing!!

Quite a productive day yesterday - I did not get all of the pictures hung but I did get the front and back door storm windows out in and replaced a broken window in a french door. One step closer to being ready for winter. I also cleaned at the cabin.

Dorothy~Hope you get the pictures finished today.

Last night was not overly restful once again as we had Auggie in with us as Maegann’s first work shift was 7-3am. I think Auggie may have to get used to sleeping in his crate that is in Maegann’s room without her. He did fine overall, but I was aware of him and partially alert for Maegann’s return home. I did close my eyes during the sermon so will need to listen to it all again as I’m sure I missed something!

Football is on and I will be bbq’g Cheddar Brats for lunch. Tim is going to make supper (salmon served on top of shredded and sauted Brussel sprouts and red cabbage) tonight. My plan for the day is football, Sparking and sorting puzzle pieces.

Janet - I started putting out all of my pictures and finding homes for them. But then I started helping my daughter with new phones for her boyfriend and his son and got side tracked with that. Finally got back to my pictures - I will have to finish with them today,

I did get outside and got all of my lights and garden stuff put away. I was going to try to mow too but I was running out of steam and hubby wanted me to make him some goulash and meatloaf.

So sorry that the drama is on going - it is so exhausting.

How did your project go today Dorothy?

I did get a bit more sleep last night, but Ellsworth was still up to his old tricks. Ugh! Pretty much all I did was get 80% of the client plan draft done as drama hit the house once again. Still the Tayler/Maegann saga. Maegann started her first shift at Taco Bell tonight. She looked cute in her uniform, but she said "I am now what I never wanted to be...fast food." LOL

Janet - it took me a long time to learn that it is ok to be by yourself - you don't need a man to lean on. Now I am always telling people coming out of relationships to heal and find themselves before they move on. But for whatever reason human nature is to just move right on into the next relationship. I get it - people do not want to be alone but you do become so much stronger and you become yourself being by yourself.

Maegann is smart - she will figure things out.

Took Mike grocery shopping last night and then sold the washing machine that we pulled out of the basement. He is having problems with his right hand - the one that was infected - it makes me so sad as he is right handed. .

Today I am going to clan and organize inside and hopefully get all of my stuff put away that is outside

Another 2am sleep time once again. (I'm too old for this! LOL) The recent drama was Tayler and Maegann going back to friend mode for various reasons. Doesn't mean they are over for good, but each needs to work on something so they are their authentic selves again. It brought good conversation for Maegann and I afterwards.

Today I was dragging even more than usual, but I made it through my client meeting and then did a few organizational things before needing a nap and then choosing to work on my puzzle. I got it done!

Well...enjoy your mini vacation Dorothy!

I decided first thing to stay home today so rescheduled my client appointment for next week. I am just dragging. I ended up sleeping until 10 so I think it was a good call. This afternoon the drama is beginning all over again with Maegann and I don't know the details yet. Ugh!

While you are a busy one today, I am just taking it easy. Didn't sleep that well again so I chose to stay home this morning as I was so foggy headed. After I rested (napped) I have been going through emails and Sparking while watching an episode of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered". Will head to the dentist for my crown in about 45 minutes.l Only other plan is puzzle time.

Janet - got to love those good days.

Fertilized my yard with fall fertilizer last night and then Brought in all of my extra pots last night into the basement and got things organized on the shelving, I do love an organized basement. Still have a long ways to go but I got a good start.

Today I am going to run to the paint store after work and get paint - there may be a couple of days I can paint outside yet - and then to aldis. I also have to pick up my scripts.

I thought the bucket idea for mums was pretty too and had planned on doing that myself...still nothing out decor-wise around here. You've got a good plan on the projects!

My day was very much a “do a whole lot of nothing” day. Didn’t fall asleep until about 2:30 and then caught up on a couple of those needed hours once the kids were gone for the day. I did get my Bible study lesson done for tomorrow and spent time on the jigsaw puzzle. A good day overall.

Sounds like a good day Janet - and the way to go,

I have to tell you that I love your fall picture. It inspired me to get my galvanized buckets and put my mums in them. So pretty.

I did not do much yesterday - when it is cool and cloudy my motivation goes right out the window. Sounds like seasonal disorder - lol! I did go down into the basement and my shelves are all put into place so tonight I can start putting things away. I think my next big project in the house will be the entry way into the attic - with all of the painting I have done - I realized that it needed painted too. Although I still have a lot of organizing and cleaning to do int he basement - thank you dear hubby. But I can work on it as I go and then next year when it gets nice out again I can haul out the garage.

Sounds like a full day for you Dorothy.

I have chosen slow and constant for my day. Handled paid work emails and then the September budget revisions. I watched Friends for part of the afternoon while working on the budget. After I put the pizza in the oven for supper I am going to get the border of the jigsaw puzzle started.

Janet - I have a feeling if he ends up int he hospital much more that is what they will be doing, Putting in a permanent port.

My dentist's sisters son is law in Eric Harris who plays for the Raiders.

Sounds like Tim is having a productive day.

Finished painting the basement wall yesterday - so glad that is done - one room done down there. Now to get it organized so I can get my washer and dryer over here.

Went to see Mike in the morning but he was sleeping -- talked to the nurses and then left to run some errands. Did more recycling and then ran to the cabin to make sure everything was all right. I have guests arriving today. I was going to try to mow and I did get the truck emptied out but the swarms of gnats was horrible so I headed home. Was just getting ready to come inside and take a shower when I got text from Mike that he was ready to come home so back over to get him. After we got home Michael and his girlfriend stopped over for a bit. After they left I finally got my shower - sure was a quick day. Was thinking of going up today to mow but it rained all night and will be very wet today so maybe tomorrow. Will see what happens today.

Dorothy~You got a lot done even without the mowing today! Whew! Have the doctor's considered putting a permanent port in place for Mike's meds? If the veins are that bad it might be an option. Not pleasant, but an option.

Church was good this morning and then I came home and was happy that the Raiders game was being aired. So glad they only gave up points in the 3rd quarter and pulled off the win they deserved. Now they have the Green Bay game on and so far it's all GBay.

Tim is out buying a utility sink for the final bathroom that is off the garage. Once home he will cut up fire wood and kindling so there is plenty for the week as it's supposed to be a cold one by Wednesday. He will then get the sprinklers blown out before he begins packing up for his trip to Reno.

Isaac is playing PS4 and Maegann is at the Y with Kim doing their workout. I think Tayler is coming tonight to play games -- we have a game in progress to finish -- and the timing should be about right for football to be over.

Me.... I started laundry once Tim had the wall taped and the washer/dryer back in place and sorted the next jigsaw puzzle pieces during the game.

Janet - hope you Tim enjoyed your quiet movie night.

Mike was feeling better yesterday. He figured out that he was having withdrawal symptoms from not having a new pain patch on - hew was over due - so they ordered him one - much better.

His arm is a mess - his IV keeps coming out and they have to keep searching for a new vein. I think his veins are shot. His arm is black and blue. He said last night that they are just going to start giving him his meds orally.

I got so much done ;yesterday. I guess it helped I did not sleep well Friday night so was up bright and early. Went to paint the last wall that needed painted and once again the paint was no good so finished the basement floor and the wood wall. Once again I returned the paint and this time she looked at the paint and we determined that they got a bad batch so she found me a can with a different lot number and it was fine. Also got the sweeper run and the bathroom cleaned, cooked a steak and potatoes, and cleaned my golf clubs and hauled them to the attic. Then went and saw Mike, left there to do my recycling and came back home and got the 4 lawns mowed. Then my daughter came down and helped me load the work truck with stuff I need to take to cabin so I can take it up there this morning and get rid of it - mostly stuff that needs burned. This morning I will find out when Mike is getting out to determine if I am going to the cabin this morning or afternoon. Yesterday when I looked at the forecast it was not suppose to rain until tonight - now they are calling for it this afternoon so I will not get any mowing done today at the cabin. But the good news is I slept really good last night.

Janet - sorry about all of the conflict. Glad you were able to talk to him.

Did not sleep again last night - hopefully tonight.

It was just plain cold and overcast all day yesterday. And frost warning last night. I cam home and put away all of my pots that I over winter. Was not really ready to start that but it is done now. Even have the furnace on. Brr!! Crazy week - from hot and humid to cold and frosty.

Crazy week at work too. From the flooding to me having to take on the IT department. Ordered two new computers for 2 new hires and they were to have 2 monitors each. First computer arrived with only one monitor. So I pulled out the paperwork and sent it to the IT department plus my boss - by the end of the day they promised to bring over a 2nd monitor and to make sure the other computer gets 2 monitors. I felt mean but it was what we ordered. These two new hires in our department have just been a nightmare. From getting there phones set up and working, there computers, and there radios for out in the plant. Every step has been a struggle. Not usually like this.

And then I went to see Mike who does not feel well - headache and high blood pressure. I did see his Dr and stopped to talk to him. Was able to get one of his meds straightened out. Just a week of struggles. Here's to a better week next week emoticon

Dorothy~Sorry for the extra wear and tear today with helping others. Hope you sleep well tonight.

Had another Isaac issue at school today and two totally opposing perspectives. Usually there is an easy in between to follow, but not this time. Just another validation that the SPED team made the right call to request a full-time 1:1 aide. Could have avoided 90% of this today. I got him talked off the ledge and he chose to walk over for the football game.

I slept in this morning and then finished all the rest of the client budget reviews and enjoyed Hallmark shows while I worked. Tonight I'm Sparking by the fire and watching Longmire.

Janet - so hard when are pets get old.

Sounds like a very good day.

I guess they are keeping Mike through Sunday Surprised me but is a relief. Was trying to straighten up his house last night and was waiting for my great nephew to stop by when Mike texted me to pick up his scripts. I had taken him some stuff at lunch time and had stopped back over at work but he was sleeping. Then my mom stopped and had bought a new phone and wanted me to come down and set it up. So I messaged my great nephew i had to leave - went and picked up Mikes script and took it over to the hospital, but he did not need it - just wanted me to pick it up, and then headed to my moms to set up her phones. Still have to figure out how her voicemail works. Was wiped out by the time i got back home. I thought it would be easier with him in the hospital but now I am not so sure -

Dorothy~A "do it yourself" hospital? emoticon Hope Mike's arm gets better soon. What a mess at work!

Kohl~Hope you had a better day today.

Ellsworth may be missing Tim when he's gone, but doesn't seem to show it like he did that first week. We're wondering if he is fighting something like diabetes or liver failure as he is drinking so much more than he used to as well. He is 10 so it's possible for him to take a down turn anytime.

I allowed myself to nap after the house was empty by 8am and then got a little bit done around the house before going to my massage at noon. This gal does such a good job of going deep on the muscles, but the relaxation level is great at the same time.

Once home I did today's budget reviews and then finished up the end of month budget and was only $10 off so that was a win! Have October's budget ready to go too.

Now it's time to sit by the fire, Spark and watch Longmire.

Janet - it is hard when dogs get old. Is he missing Tim as well??

Glad you decided to go to bible study.

So got to work yesterday an our office hallway was flooding. What a mess. Air conditioner guys had been there on Monday and Tuesday installing a new air conditioner and something backed up. Ruined several ceiling tiles and the walls are going to need repainted. But my coworkers and myself got it all cleaned up. But there was still water dripping in buckets when I left. ..

And then Mike texted me before lunch saying the Dr was putting him into the hospital. So I met him at home and took him to the hospital. It has now been determined that it is cellulitis in his arm. He had forgotten he had it before in his face. And honestly I took him to registration and they handed us papers and him and I walked upstairs to his room. Nobody seemed to mind a bit. I had to hunt someone done to give then his papers. When did people start admitting themselves into the hospital. I think hospital care has gone down the tubes and it is so expensive. But I still feel better he is there and they are at least checking on him.

I think I was emotionally spend last night.

Dorothy~Wish you were nearby to help me jump start my moving and cleaning up in the addition. Did they take labs to check Mike's white count?

I woke up tired thanks to another night of Ellsworth getting me up several times. Wish Tim could hear him! I almost let myself sleep and not go to Bible study, but glad I kicked myself out of the house as it was a very good discussion.

Once home I watched Friends while doing more monthly budget reviews and email. Tonight is just being lazy while watching Survivor and Longmire.

Janet - I am feeling better - thanks.

I love chicken and rice.

So now they are thinking Mike has another infection - poor guy = his arm is just huge. He has yet another Dr appointment today.

Yesterday was hot and humid and now a cold front is going to pass through and we will have rain the rest of the week. I took off a couple of hours to paint outside but changed my mind and worked in the basement. I only have half a wall to finish in the wash room and it will be done. So I moved the two shelves that were down there and get it cleaned and ready to paint. When I went to start painting the paint was no good so I took it back and got another can,. So hopefully tonight I will get it done. Oh - and I also hauled about 6 more boxes of stuff out of there and took it to good will.,

Dorothy~Only had rice leftover so I made a baked chicken with rice tonight. Added some cream of chicken soup and cheese to it. Made for a good meal without wasting rice! Hope you aren't as tired tomorrow.

I was tired this morning for whatever reason, but I pushed through and got my paid work done and then shifted to Bible study lessons in prep for tomorrow morning. Tonight I'm just enjoying Sparking and catching up on Dancing with the Stars and The Voice.

Janet - any leftovers - sounds delish,.

For whatever reason I was just exhausted last night so I gave myself permission to take it easy. It was hard as I have so much to get done but I enjoyed it. I did work on some laundry and I did dead head some flowers.

I talked Mike into going to the clinic last night and the Dr thinks he may have gout. He did manage to get an appointment this morning to see the same Dr he saw at the clinic so he sent him for some blood work so they will have some answers. And its the same Dr he had been seeing before he started seeing the Dr he has been with the last year. I have been trying to get him to go back. I m not fond of him - he is arrogant but he knows Mikes history. So hopefully we will get some results today.

Dorothy-Glad the time in Buffalo was fun. Any update on Mike's arm?

Had Isaac's IEP meeting this morning and everyone agreed he would do well having a 1:1 aide at school. Should take a couple of weeks.

Got the little bit of paid work done and now I am resting. Going to make an easy dinner of egg rolls, sweet & sour chicken and fried rice.

Janet - it seems to be a pretty easy surgery - so it should be ok that is was delayed. They are doing it right in the office.

Your Saturday night and Sunday sound very pleasant.

Khol - glad to hear that everything worked out ok despite the late start.

Busy weekend - I am tired. But it was lovely spending time with the family. And getting to see the kids in there sports. Michael and his girlfriend drove up to the birthday party - and he did just fine so I do not have to worry about him navigating the highways in Buffalo anymore.

And Thomas loved his birthday party - he is such a smart 3 year old.

The young couple that wee to stay at the cabin on Friday night decided not to stay - I was wondering how they were going to make out - they had a 8 month old baby and it really is not set up for a baby. I did not have a problem refunding there money. And the people who were to arrive for week on Sunday cancelled as well - they have been having a rough year and again I did not have a problem refunding there money. Life happens. So all is quiet at the cabin - I did stop there on the way home and do a quick cleaning.

Got home and Mikes arm is all swollen - good grief - now what??

Dorothy~Is this a good thing that the surgery is delayed?

Kohl~I remember when it was time to be done with elementary books. Bittersweet.

Sorry I didn't make it by here yesterday. Just another full day and then it was family movie night and since everyone was actually here for the first time in ages we made use of the no-electronics time. Tayler was over as well and he enjoyed the family videos.

Today I finished up some of the first of the month bills and then did a few things around the house before spending a little time on the puzzle. Tonight Tim and I watched The Voice and now an episode of Longmire before bed.

Tomorrow church and football.

Janet — Glad you were able to get the extra sleep. Today I woke up with my husband when his alarm went off a few minutes before six and couldn't seem to focus my eyes so I went back to bed. Next thing I know D23 says it is 8:55 and is asking me if she is driving herself to work. She needs to be there by 9:00 and it takes at least 5 minutes to get there. I say NO that is not the plan…(D20 needs to be in class which is a 1/2 hour drive away at 10:00). I pulled on my jeans, yelled for D20 to get up and get ready, slipped on sandals, grabbed my purse and keys and found myself driving in no time. D23 was a minute or two late. She had shut off her alarm and fallen back to sleep, her sister’s phone did not charge for some reason, and I had set my phone alarm for pm accidentally. Glad it all worked out.

Dorothy — You are such a good friend! So nice to have someone to help out.

Well we had a late start all around this morning. I was in such a hurry to get D20 to her class on time that I forgot to wake up the younger two and they were still sound asleep when I returned at 10:20. We did manage to get a full day of homeschooling done despite the late start. We did Bible and grammar together. Then they each worked independently on science, history, and math. I helped D12 with her spelling lesson while D15 did Latin.

I managed to clean up the South side porch today. Pots without anything growing in them had been sitting there since June when we took the seedlings that grew and transplanted them in the garden. Such a busy summer!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Janet - always nice to get as many appointment's done as quickly as possible so it does not take up so much time.

Nice you were able to get a nap in - you must have needed it.

I spend the night at my friends as she and her boyfriend wee out of town . Her ex husband dropped her 10 year old daughter off here and I took her home and spent the night with her and her brother - he is a senior so I left early this morning to get ready for her work and he will get them up and get them, off to school. I will only be at work for 3 hours and then will pick up Mike for his appointment. I hope they are able to take care of it today.

Dorothy~I need to get some cleaning done in the main part of the house too. Easy to put off when the days are so busy.

I was thankful I was able to schedule both imaging tests one after the other and haven't heard anything about the mammogram so pretty sure nothing is amiss there. I had originally thought I would need to see the new obgyn prior to the ultrasound so jumped on the imaging center saying I could do it before. Will save some time and I can get this all taken care of before the beginning of the year.

This morning I slept for another 90 minutes or so once the kids were gone for the day and then it was time to head to the pharmacy and pick up groceries. Other than laundry I focused on paid work once back home. Tonight I worked on the jigsaw puzzle while Isaac watched Scooby Doo. Maegann was outside visiting with Tayler.

Janet - sorry about the surgery but it sounds like it is needed. I really have to set up my pap smear appointment and my mammogram - it is that time again - i just really drag my feet on those.

I hope you enjoy your day home and it sounds like yesterdays was not too bad.

That is what makes me crazy - usually if something digital does not work correctly I just turn it off and on so I do not know why I did not think of that. And what I think if more crazy is I run the vacation home business all on my phone. Whoever would have thought.....

So as much as I want to work in the basement some more tonight - I did get one more wall painted and part of the floor last night - I think I am going to clean my house tonight and Friday so when I leave on Saturday it will be clean and when I come home on Sunday it will be clean. I have really let it go since working on all of my projects. It is really making me batty. emoticon It is amazing how the paperwork all piles up and I am sure I can throw away most of it.

Dorothy~I agree...wash rooms are the worst for painting! I've done that so many times with electronic devices...why can't I remember to simply shut it off and turn it back on! LOL

I had a good day... bible study, paid work, jigsaw puzzle and time with Maegann as Isaac was gone with Meg and at youth group. Tomorrow is my first day this week where I do not have somewhere to be other than home. Much needed!

I did find out today that I will be zipping past the next requested procedure when I see the OBGYN on Nov. 1, but only because I'll be heading to a day surgery instead. Ultrasound showed a large ovarian cyst and a thickened endometrium. Anesthesia is our friend. Ugh!

Janet - so I guess sometimes we do not realize we are having fun when we are - must be anxiety. Hes a lucky boy to have you on his side

So the trick to activating my phone was simply turning it off and back on,. emoticon 3rd phone call told me try that - I was so mad at myself because that is the first thing I should have tried to do.

I finished the wall in the wash room. What a pain in the butt. Not only are the foundation rocks so rough in that one spot but I also had lots of pipes to work around. So glad it is done.

So tonight after I run a few errands I will paint the wood wall down there - I bet that will be so much easier.

Dorothy~I believe we're set to have rain again by Friday and I'll welcome it. I'm just in that type of mood tonight. Hope you can get your phone activated tomorrow.

I spoke with the VP who is on Isaac's IEP team (we rescheduled the meeting to next week) and she told me a completely different view of Homecoming for Isaac. She said he "worked the room" and would then sit down by himself in between groups he'd go visit with. She said he was always laughing and smiling. Maybe he doesn't realize he was having fun. LOL

I survived both medical procedures and didn't have much wait time which was wonderful. Glad to have these out of the way and am hoping that the results of the ultrasound will negate needing the final "wants me to have" test.

Tomorrow morning is ladies Bible study and that's an outing I am looking forward to.
