Janet - that is a lot of running - I bet you are looking forward to a day at home

Rained on and off yesterday - we needed it. I worked in the wash room and even though it seems like I did not get far I actually got a lot done. I just got discouraged. I should be able to get it done easily this week.

I ordered a new phone as mine would no longer hold a charge and I use it for my rentals - got everything on it but am having a hard time activating it - grr - I will have to finish that up today.

Way to go Dorothy!

I'm ready for all the doctor appointments to be done. Both kids had them today and I have two for myself tomorrow. Mammogram and an Ultrasound. I also have Isaac's IEP meeting in the morning to go over the behavioral assessment. All of this will pretty well take care of the day.

Janet -usually when I don't procrastinate and out my mind to something i do.

It sounds like you had a nice Sunday.

I put a second coat of paint on the inside entry way to the basement and painted the floor around the stairs so that area is done. I still need to get a good cleaning to the wash area but had to stop and go tot he cabin and clean. I do not have any guests until Friday but I like to check on it after people leave. When I got back home I painted all of the trim on the back of the house so that is done - and now I can concentrate on the wash room in the basement. I also have t pick up another can of house paint - maybe I can finish getting at least the back of the house and the one side finished before bad weather - we will see. But for now I am going to start concentrating on getting stuff put away and straightened up as I feel I have such a mess form moving everything as I work.

Dorothy~You are making such great progress on things!

Kohl~Hope you are feeling better.

I didn't do much today, but enjoyed it very much. Church, jigsaw puzzle & football. Tim got off about 5pm and is now in Salt Lake City for a connecting flight. Tayler came over so we're just watching a show and hanging out. Isaac's been in quite a mood today so he's off playing on the PS4. I'm actually looking forward to bedtime tonight....the kids' that is....ready for the place to be quiet.

Janet- wow - you have really built up your business - that is great,

I did see your picture on your blog -very nice and Isaac's on facebook - I hope he had fun.

Khol - how excited for 2 of your kids to be in England - II would love to go there. I have always wanted to take Michael Europe.

I hope the girls do well and that you are feeling better.

Beautiful weather here but we have rain moving in on and off this coming week - but it looks like I may be able to paint a couple of days and I need to start getting things put away,

Got so much done yesterday - I have painted both entry ways into my basement and I hauled 6 more boxes out of there yesterday and took them to the Salvation Army - progress, Michael also stopped by and helped me get a washing machine out of the laundry room so now I can get it clean and painted and get my own brought over - yippe!

Dorothy It's so easy to get sidetracked, isn't it? I took advantage of the good weather and paid a visit to my parents. I was with my three youngest. We stayed outside so as not to give my mom and dad my nasty germs. I would have liked to weed our brick front porch and walkway but I knew I was still too weak.

Janet Saw the new done up you on your blog. Maegann is talented. Want to share her with me?

D23 made it to England today and met up with S24 who was already there for a week. He gave two presentations at a conference at Cambridge University. He had dormitory style accommodations on the campus. They went to Hyde Park earlier today and we haven't heard from them since. They plan to go to Dover tomorrow.

D15 and D12 tried out for Annie Get Your Gun today. So glad this particular director holds rehearsals only on Saturdays and Tuesdays for principals. It's more spaced out with the shows not happening until the first weekend in February. Hoping the girls get lines or solos even though they will be satisfied with the overall experience no matter what.

Today I scrapped all the mineral deposits off the kitchen faucet. That took some work but it looks so nice. I also worked on the rest of the kitchen, wiping down the baseboards, sweeping and mopping the floor, and cleaning the cat bedding.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Dorothy~Weather does dictate at times what tasks we decide to tackle. Sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished.

I never made it here yesterday as it was just a very full day. I ended up spending closer to 4 hours with Maegann having my hair done as we switched from just doing a basic root touch-up to lightening the crown and sides as one does highlights. She then used a red with golden blond toner so it's lighter than I had, but still has my brownish red color. It's very pretty and she was over the moon happy as she had formulated it all without any help from a leader.

The sports doc was just as sassy as my new primary doc. Loved it! She went over the x-ray with me after doing some manipulations and checking soreness. There is some arthritis and a few spurs, but there is still space for the joint to be okay. She believes there may have been some initial meniscus area damage when I hurt my knee initially, but it's hard to know for sure now as it has been two years. So the culprit does appear to be inflamed tissue and tight muscles. I now have exercises to tackle at least 5x/week for the IT-band, the Hamstring and Meniscus area. Hope it helps as I'd really prefer not to deal with PT or more.

Paid work is very busy right now as I had 10 come due at the same time thanks to the company who provides the annual eligibility and budget. I should have 4-5 to finish each month so having 5 that are now due within a week has been insane. I am happy to say I only have one more plan draft to finish from this group and it isn't due until October. Whew!

Today was a trip for some groceries, one plan draft, Bible study lessons for Wednesday and now I'm Sparking while watching the MasterChef finale. Tim is currently frying sweet potato chips for our "supper", Maegann is over at Tayler's tonight to watch "The Notebook" and Isaac is getting ready to go meet up with some friends at Homecoming. They invited him to come hang out with them. Crazy kid is wearing his blue silky shorts, his BamJam t-shirt that is years old and tennis shoes. LOL Will post a photo on my blog tonight.

Next up is another James Bond movie and once I finish online I will start sorting the jigsaw puzzle.

Janet - I hope all is well with you and the family,.

Got sidetracked working in the cellar yesterday instead of the back of the house - I am going to work a little in the cellar this morning and haul stuff out to take to goodwill and then will get the back done. I have to take advantage of the good weather.

Janet - it was a more red/copper color all summer and now it is darker brown with the red and blond highlights. I love it. I like my hair dark rather than red or light.

Goodness - your paid work certainly keeps you busy - I guess that is what paid work is suppose to do emoticon

Good luck with the sport med dr today.

I took a couple of hours off yesterday and today to get some work done,. Yesterday I had to run to the cabin to unlock the door for my new guests. Then to Aldis and then home. I worked on the foundation out back and the cellar way. Getting excited for getting so much done And seeing results.

Mike was not up when I finally got home at 2:30 - that scared me but I did not run up to check on him because it is not unusual either. He never got up until 4 yesterday which probably means he was up all night watching tv - so frustrating. Plus he drinks non stop so when he does try to sleep he has to pee constantly. He is worse than any little kid or teenager - emoticon

Dorothy~What did you have done differently with your color? Maegann wants to add a different color to mine, but I've resisted so far. I go in tomorrow afternoon so I'm curious!

Today was completely spent on paid work as I've got deadlines to meet on these 8 plans. I am down to 2 so feeling relieved!

Tomorrow morning I meet with the sports med doctor for the first time. No idea what or if to expect. In the afternoon I am going to get my hair color retouched. In between I will work on plans and try to get laundry done.

A good Bible study this morning and I really like the group of ladies I was assigned to be with this year. I did paid work all afternoon, but did enjoy a Hallmark movie too. We've had rain off and on too which made it easy to stay in and work.

Janet - it sounds like you are adjust quite nicely to having your days to yourself. Getting lots of paid work done as well as bible study.

I hope your mouth feels better today,

Beautiful sunshine here again yesterday - it is a warm week - right through the weekend. I took 2 hours off to finish painting on the one side of the house so I can move to the back and Michael's girlfriend tore apart one of my windows for me and made it all shiny and painted the frame - looks so nice.

Hair cut for me tonight - going to be hard to sit still when it is so nice out but that is why I took off 2 hours yesterday so I could enjoy my pampering today.

Mike mowed my yard on Monday and discovered I have a ground bee hive. I can not believe I have not gotten stung all summer - I always noticed there were lots of bees there but never put 2 and 2 together - he got stung. I must move too fast emoticon So I have been pouring gasoline there trying to get rid of the hive

Dorothy~Nice that you'll have some help tomorrow on the gardens. What a sweet gift from the renters.

40 minutes total to get the temporary crown in place. Will go back in three weeks for the permanent. I can still tell it's swollen/irritated, but not as painful tonight thankfully. I think the other side where I held the mouth block is aching more.

Got lots of paid work done and will spend the afternoon tomorrow doing more. Bible study in the morning.

Janet - you definitely deserve a crown emoticon Your paid work sure keeps you busy. Glad that it all paid off for you,.

I did contact my friend yesterday and am going in October. So I really believe that this is going to be my last big weekend to get big things done around here because next week is suppose to be rainy and cooler and I am sure that is what is going to be following. May get a few good days here and there but I know our time is dwindling.

Yesterday I had to go to the cabin to clean and mow. I had guests there for a whole week - how lovely. They did have a big dog so there was lots of dog hair but other than that they left it in good shape. Plus the guy makes cutting boards and they left us a lovely cutting board and the stuff to condition plus I think he used it on all of the furniture because everything was just so shiny, So cool.

Today I am going to take off a couple of hours to finish up the neighbors side of the house so I can move around to the back. My sons girlfriend is going to come over to help me - yea!

Dorothy~Way to take advantage of a spot being open to get the clean-up work finished! Steelers... going to be interesting the rest of the season as their QB is out with an elbow surgery.

My day was mainly spent on paid work as I had quite a few emails to address and then I worked through some pending items that needed addressed by the clients and they were dragging their feet for whatever reason. Got most of them done too!

Tonight I'm just hanging out Sparking and watching So You Think You Can Dance's finale and then will watch Dancing with the Stars premiere.

Tomorrow I get to start the day with the dentist to get a crown. It's about time someone recognizes I deserve a crown! emoticon After that I am planning to either run a few errands (depends on how I feel and/or how dead my face is) or come home and work on client plans. Either way I will enjoy the weather. It's only supposed to get to 69! Wow!

Janet - hope you enjoyed the games. My daughters boyfriend is a steelers fan and by the sounds of it they did not do well and neither did the referees.

I am getting really close to getting my outside stuff done. So now I have to decide whether to push my weekend away with my friend back a month - i hate to give up this nice weather and I do have renters leaving the cabin on Sunday so I will have to clean there. I am thinking if I push it back to when I have no renters that I will be able to relax and enjoy myself more anyways. Decisions decisions.

Yesterday I was able to completely finish one part of the house - it is along side where my neighbor parks her car and she offered to move her car so I took advantage and worked right there and it is done - even the garden area. Such a good feeling.

Janet - sounds like a really good Saturday and productive as well. Poor Tim having to travel so much but I guess he has to do what he has to do.

Next weekend I am going to my girlfriends and the following weekend I am going to spend it with family. That Saturday I get see Olivia cheer and Trevor play soccer and we are celebrating Thomas's birthday.

I did get a lot accomplished yesterday and am planning on finishing the other side of the house today - that way both sides of the house will be pretty much done and then I will only have the front and the back and the front is almost done. Then to the basement. I also got most of my house cleaned yesterday morning - I do love a clean house. And am finally getting rid of some stuff.

Dorothy~You're cruising through all the work!

Tim did arrive home safely and will head back to Reno tomorrow evening. He's not thrilled, but it has to be done and this won't be the end of the travel either so he's planning to buy some kitchen items that he can store at the company and use in his hotel each time. He's missing his green juice and salads each day.

I slept until almost 9 after being up much earlier with Maegann. After breakfast I got Isaac started on some of his class work and we did that until Patrick showed up around 11. I then got my Bible study stuff out and worked through all of the lessons for the week while the place was empty (Tim was running errands.) and then cleaned up the kitchen and made stuff for tacos. Isaac got the lawn mowed, took a shower and then we worked for about another 45 minutes on his assignment. It's to the point now that he needs to get input from his teacher to know what to do next as it is planning for an assessment.

Now I am Sparking as game night is coming up soon. Tayler is coming over and he and Isaac will tackle a few rounds of WWE and then will join the rest of us for board/card games. Isaac loves game night as he gets to play video games longer than usual. Crazy kid. He's earned it today though.

I got my mowing done last night - well - I still need to mow the back yard across the street. But it leaves my day pretty wide open to work on all of my projects. I am hoping to work on the other side of the house this weekend and finish up over there as the driveway side is pretty much done.

Dorothy~Little by little the fall work is beginning for you!

The talk with Maegann went as well as it could have and now all I can do is pray. She's calmer now that things are out in the open though so that's helpful.

My massage today was perfect timing. I was so relaxed I actually fell asleep. Other than laundry, I did a small amount of paid work and then just puttered around.

Janet - emoticon Sounds like a rough day for you all the way around,. hard when you are worrying about all of your loved ones.

Glad you were able to get some things done with the coach. Poor Isaac = my heart just breaks with his struggles.

So hard when our kids rebel. I am sure you will handle it well. They are always shocked when we know more then they realize. I hope your talk went well with Maegann.

I got the lawn mowed and bought some dry lock so I can get the foundation sealed inside and outside.

Dorothy~We still have a lot of wood left from last year for the fireplace. Glad you were able to secure all the ash wood. That is some odd stuff found in the river!

Kohl~Hope your school week is going smoothly.

Enjoyed bible study this morning and I got lucky and have the same group leader as last year. A few of the ladies were from that group too. Afterwards I drove to Meridian (15 min.) to drop some meds off at Tim's office so they could overnight them to him. He's having a rough week and needed his anxiety meds. Just saw an email confirming his flights for next week so I'll have him home Friday night through Sunday afternoon. emoticon

Coach meeting did not go as I had envisioned because Isaac totally shut down before he even got into the room. So the rest of us discussed the issues surrounding Isaac and the coach, but it's in Isaac's court to make a change. Partly because we had to take his silence and small head nods as acceptance of what was being said. Afterwards he told me a couple of things that would have been better said in that room, but Michelle and the Coach know I'll revisit them by email with questions/comments once Isaac opens up again.

I am very ready to get tonight over as I am going to have a talk with Maegann over her recent rebelliousness and will surprise her with some things that I know that she doesn't think I have any clue about. I had a good talk/cry with my SIL earlier today and she had good insight for me. I just need to remain calm and show love to her. I did give Tim a heads up with the same type of description I've given you as I just can't burden him with all of it right now. He's having enough stress of his own with the job he's there to fix. I figure it will be better left for after my conversation with Maegann so I have her side of things to add into it.

Janet - I hope you got the rest you needed.

It is amazing the things we pull out of the river/ Tires, refrigerators, tvs, bikes, shopping carts - you get the picture. Makes me think they should really designate an area to drop of stuff so you don't have to pay to get rid of stuff. I am sure that is part of it. The other part is kids being stupid and throwing stuff in.

My SIL came down yesterday and got our 2 trailers and wood splitter - he will be cutting up more of the dead ash trees on his property and we can have as much wood as we want for the cabin!

Taking a moment to remember those we lost on 9 /11 emoticon emoticon emoticon

Dorothy~Glad you got the rest you needed.

I too had the need for sleep today. I allowed myself to sleep and it meant the morning was pretty well gone. Then I got some paid work finished before the research on a couple of family things began. Now the kids are in bed and I'm watching Criminal Minds before heading back for more sleep which I do believe will come as I am tired...thankfully.

Sorry I missed yesterday. Did not sleep well Sunday night and when I finally fell back asleep it cut into my time. I helped at the river clean up yesterday - my company allows us to take a day off to help and we do not have to use vacation time.

I painted around the windows last night when I got back home - 2 1/2 more windows to go and they will have there first coat on, The windows I was working on were right out in the sun - I was totally sweating an it was only 70 degrees out. Also got a first coat of paint on some wicker furniture I am putting on the front porch.

Janet - I have a friend whose SIL plays for the raiders. And my SIL BIL works for the Bills.

Sounds like you had a nice rainy Sunday - I am kind of looking forward to a rainy day as I have much to get done in the house but I feel like I need to be outside while I can.Hope today goes as planned

I spent today getting several little projects done and tomorrow will focus on paid work once the house is empty. I was very thankful to get all my notes written up and printed out for the meeting at school with the basketball coach. It got moved to Wednesday due the VP having the flu. One interesting thing I had forgotten were some emails the coach and I had exchanged when things were taking a negative turn at the beginning of summer open gym. It is obvious he either doesn't want to make the effort or he has forgotten about the information I gave him about how to work with Isaac. For some reason I think this is going to be a necessary piece of the puzzle. Not sure why....

Tonight I just plan to hang out with Isaac as Maegann will be on a date with Tayler. Their schedules have been so crazy and I knew they needed time as things have been a bit strained the past few days with all the time Maegann has given to Kim. He isn't wanting her not to have time with a good friend, but he was feeling like there was not time for him. I can understand why he thinks that right now as I know how little we saw her too.

Bummer that the Monday Night Football is only being aired on ESPN. I will have to use my NFL app on my phone to watch the Raiders play.

We had rain most of the day so it made it very easy to just be inside watching football. I worked on the jigsaw puzzle the entire time and got it done. (500 piece) Now the kids are in bed for the night so will probably catch up on So You Think You Can Dance. Tim got off for Reno about 6 tonight and should be at his hotel soon. He wasn't thrilled with having to be there the entire week, but knew it had to be done and the overtime pay will be very helpful.

I have Direct tv coming today so Mike can have the NFL package this year. So I have to get over there and clean that house - lol. I also want to get some painting done - getting close to having the porches done - would love to clean out the first room in the basement- and I have to clean the cabin and maybe mow a little. So lets see how much I actually get done.

Yesterday I planted about 40 plants for Cheryl and ran to the cabin to get it unlocked and did get some painting done.

Janet - I was exhausted last night too.

I have had one of those days where it just feels like nothing has been accomplished. I'm ready to head for the sofa and crash!

Janet - sounds like a productive day - nice that you were able to get your hair trimmed.

I mowed the neighbors yards after work and worked on my gardens a bit. Today I promised Cheryl I would work on her garden and I am going to have to run to the cabin as I rented it out last night for tonight. I have so much to do here that it is hard for me to give up any of my time.

Dorothy~It's time to see those summer chores coming to a close.

This morning I had Maegann trim my hair so it's back in shape once again and then I went to the YMCA to complete her membership application. Keep forgetting she needs me to do those things as she isn't 18 yet. Once I got home my motivation crashed so I chose to get email cleaned out and then did some little things like ordering stamps, Christmas cards, a puzzle (on sale 50%) and calendar stuff. Now I'm ready for a nap.

Khol - how lovely you had the whole family together. And a 6 hour conversation is perfect. emoticon Nice that your daughters rode with you to keep you company on the way back - I hope your daughter is feeling better.

Janet - I am envious that you got your planning done. But like Khol said once the colder weather hits I will be inside and can get mine done then.

Michael's girlfriend did a light cleaning for me at the cabin yesterday while I mowed. I think my mowing days are numbered there - here not so much.

Kohl~How nice to be able to spend some time with your son. How is D20 doing with school and anxiety?

Dorothy~Our grass is long again too.

I spent my day finishing the family budget and current bills. Finally done with the worst of it! Once we get through September it will be much easier as it is already created and just an ongoing task. Glad Hallmark kept me company!

Janet - Glad you rested!

Dorothy - At least you are getting something done! Soon enough the constant outside work will fade away and then we will all want Spring to come again. It is finally cool enough here to open the windows and see the curtains blow in the breezes. Can't get enough of early fall when it is a mix of warm days and cool nights.

My son came home for the long weekend before his trip to England. My husband, two youngest daughters, and I drove out to get him last Friday. I didn't see him all that much as I was running the younger girls to rehearsals while he was here. We were all able to go to church as a family on Sunday and to the beach together on Monday. D20 had a lot of homework for college so she spent the beach day on the blanket doing that but was glad she chose to come with us rather than spending the day at home alone. Yesterday he drove all the way back to his apartment which is a six hour drive and I drove back to our house for six hours. That's when I got to talk to him the most. The younger girls came with us so I would have ride buddies on the trip home. D12 was running a fever but she was good with it as long as she had a slushee in hand. Again it was another case of where being with people and doing something was better than being at home alone.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

I mowed when I got home last night - the grass was so long.

I really need to get all of my book work caught up but have been so busy getting outside stuff done.

I did get my windows put back together and my curtains rehung. I love clean windows and curtains.

Have to make it quick - I am running behind.

Did golf last night. Not sure what I am doing tonight after work - either mowing at home or at the cabin - they both need it.

Last round of golf already? Yikes! Hope you got to go!

My day was quiet. Client meeting, budget reports for clients and for our personal one, a long nap and then a fun hour with Maegann and Tyler. He's officially courting her. Poor thing was so nervous. I put more in my blog as well as a photo.

Tomorrow is another "nothing on the schedule" day!

I got more painting done but had to work around the rain so I took a ride to the cabin and picked up the laundry and made the bed - still need to clean. After I got back home and decided to watch some tv it got beautiful out so I ended up back outside to wash one of my windows and to paint the trim.

Suppose to golf tonight - our last round of the season - I will have to wait to see if my partner can make it - if not I have lots to do here.

Puzzle finished! It was a lot easier than most and I watched the first two episodes of When Hope Calls (new on Hallmark) and enjoyed them very much. Tayler came over about 4 this afternoon and about 6 he asked Maegann and I to play Scotland Yard and after that we switched to Clue. It made for a fun evening. Now I'm watching Criminal Minds and the kids are heading to bed. Nice that nobody has to be up going anywhere in the morning.

Dorothy~You got a lot done today!

I got side tracked this morning. Started painting when I had planned on getting back on the computer. Busy day - painted this morning, headed to the cabin to clean and got a little mowing done before the rain hit, plus got my recycling done. Then came home and finished cleaning my house. I am whooped - headed to bed emoticon

I agree Janet - it feels like fall here.

I slept 8 hours straight! Really needed that too. I finally got the fireplace cleaned out and schoolboys off the living room bookcase. Looks much nicer. I set the jigsaw puzzle table back up and the next puzzle is separated. Only 500 pieces again. Now, if there were any football games on this would be a perfect afternoon. emoticon
