Janet - I hope Issac has fun camping.

Sounds like quiet is the the new norm at your house.

I am the same as you - I would much rather be outside doing things than inside.

Khol - maybe you have stumbled onto the secret.

That made me laugh - I do believe you are right - that is our taking it easy.

I mowed the 2 neighbors lawns last night and then had a fire. We have a big ugly burn pit out back that one of the renters put in and I want to tear it down but I am trying to get everything burned down that was in it. I should be ready to go. I will put in a much smaller burn pit when I am done.

I will be working on the rental house house today - I have renters coming at the end of the month so it is time to get Mike moved.

Dorothy — Finding a good time to mow is definitely a spring problem. It's been too wet here to mow or we have had places to be in the evening.

Janet — Hope the camping trip is fun for Isaac. You seem to be getting more alone time. Not me...I have a full house for the summer.

Moved D20 home for the summer today. I came home to diligent workers. They had done all of their assignments that didn't require my input. Maybe I should leave more often! Decided to order standardized tests today. I will be the tester and at least one other homeschooling family will come over to be tested come June. This evening I've been taking it easy if you can call catching up on laundry and dishes that.

Dorothy~Maybe that's part of my motivation...want to be outside and all the "need to do" things are inside.

I finished up the Bundy series last night. I'm ready for the movie! LOL

I still didn't have a ton of motivation today, but I plugged along and got some things done, held the client meeting and then helped Isaac get everything together for the camping trip. They left about 6. Tim decided to go help Wendell tonight with the fencing so I'm home alone for about another hour.

Khol - that is exciting for your DD20 - I hope counseling went well.

Its hard for me to focus at work when it is nice outside - lol!

Janet - glad you are enjoying the conversations - for some reasons I am always intrigued by serial killers - I can not even begin to imagine what must be going through there minds.

Sounds like a very productive day around your house

,Mike picked me up at work yesterday as I left early and took me to the cabin to clean as I had people leaving and people coming. Got it all cleaned and we made a pit stop at Aldis on the way home and then back to work to pick up the truck. Today I am hoping to get the neighbors yards mowed - hopefully it will be dry enough.

Kohl~That is exciting for your daughter! Is the counseling still seeming like a good fit? I remember moving school outside this time of year when I was still homeschooling.

Dorothy~Weeding is not a favorite of mine so an over-run yard just makes me cringe if I have to deal with it. LOL

I woke up with very little motivation today so had some extended sleep after the house was quiet, ran my errand to the pharmacy and then came home and did some paid work. Never did get to the plan draft, but finally returned calls that have been collecting for about four days and two of those are new clients. Tonight Isaac was at basketball, Tim was doing drywall in the garage, Maegann was at school and then Tayler’s for movie night so I have been Sparking and viewing more of the Bundy Conversations. Fascinating. I say multiple personality – evaluator says bipolar.

Janet — Sounds like Maegann is enjoying life. Nice to have good friends.

Dorothy — Usual haircut or something new? Last weekend we had a theatre-free weekend so I took the time to have my first hair cut of the year. Nothing fancy just a lot of length gone (and light layers) but enough left that I can pull it back into a short ponytail if I like.

Plugging away at homeschooling gets harder this time of year. So tough for all of us to stay on task especially with temps in the 70s.

Tomorrow I drop my husband off at work and then move D20 out of her dorm before taking het to counseling. Today she got a call back from the local art center asking if she would consider a full-time internship instead of the part-time one she interviewed for last week. That’s exciting! And it is close enough that she can ride her bike there.

Khol - I am sure your daughter will do what is best.

Pulling weeds is always so easy when the ground is wet.

Janet - there is always something wrong with a serial killers mind - too scary to even think what goes on in there.

Overgrown yards are hard to get under control - it is what I have been working on in my friends yard.

Hair cut and pedi last night and cleaning the cabin tonight/

Dorothy~At least if it is the brakes that is quite as spendy to replace as other things could be.

Kohl~Thistle...ugh! We are still fighting the front yard here as it was just left to take over before we bought it. It will be interesting to see if D20 decides to go back in the fall.

I spent my day mostly focused on paid work and I got through all but one of the plan drafts that are on my "need to do" list. Should be able to easily get the final one done tomorrow.

Tonight Isaac and Tim were moving stuff from the shop so the drywall guy can finish up hanging tomorrow. Maegann's over at a co-workers tonight helping her out with her kids and now watching AquaMan. I have been Sparking and watching/listening another episode of the Bundy Conversations. I had NO idea that he actually killed someone in Grand Jct., CO where I grew up! I actually didn't realize his main trail was Washington down through Colorado. The more I listen to him and watch his actions he seems like a multiple personality.

Tomorrow I will have the place to myself until about 3 when Isaac gets home. I want to do laundry and some cleaning before I start on plan drafts.

Time for Carol Burnett as Isaac is done outside.

Dorothy — We have mysterious van noises, too. Ours is more noticeable when it's windy so something probably needs to be tightened down. So irksome! Metal on metal does sound like a possible break problem. Glad you have access to a company truck.

Janet — Bundy would be heavy to take. Father Brown is heavy enough for me!

It's supposed to be high 70s here this afternoon. I've started the girls on their assignments and I'm heading outside while the ground is still saturated to pull those thistles and such.

D20 has two more days of finals/projects and then she is free from college expectations for the summer. Wondering if she will even consider going back next fall.

Dorothy~Hope the van noise isn't anything serious.

I had a massage this morning and didn't remember it until about 11 last night! I have lots of aches tonight from the deep massage, but things feel better at the same time. This afternoon I did paid work and tonight I am alone for awhile as Isaac is at basketball practice, Tim is still working and Maegann is over at Tayler's. I'm watching the Bundy Conversations on Netflix. I read it would be helpful to have watched the conversations before the upcoming movie where Zac Efron is playing Bundy. I'll be sure to switch to comedy in a bit as this is not a bedtime story! LOL

Janet - you have been so busy with your paid work - I remember when you started it all. Glad it is doing so well. Enjoy your quiet day.

I mowed last night before the rain started. Need to get to the cabin and start mowing but it has just been so wet.

I need to get my van to the garage - it is making some very strange noises. emoticon

Hooray for cabin season!

Today was very quiet. Laundry, paid work and finished the monthly budget. Tomorrow I will have much of the day to myself (Maegann was home until 1:30 today working on the scholarship video) and have a couple tasks at home before I get busy on plan drafts. Three more to do this week.

Finished painting the room - of course I ran out of paint and had to go buy more and ran into someone I knew all painty. Well - I should say I finished the walls - I still need to touch up and do the trim.

As I was finishing up I got a reservation for the cabin for Tuesday so I dragged hubby to the cabin with me so we could finish taking care of his stuff. Now the shed is a jumbled mess again but for now I am not going to worry abut it. All I can say is his brain is a jumbled mess because none of it makes any sense to me. We have a lot of work ahead of us but for now it is ready for Tuesday - they leave on Thursday and I have more arriving on Thursday so the season has begun.

It never did snow this weekend and for that I am grateful.

Glad to hear that you and Maegann worked on scholarships.

Dorothy~Our sunny day was deceptive today....cold. Probably because we went from 80s to 50s overnight.

Quiet day for me. Church, budget project finished, scholarships with Maegann and now rest. I was happy I got a couple of items paid down quite a bit through the budget project!

I got two walls painted yesterday and will paint the other two this morning. After I got the two walls painted I made some lunch and then since a neighbor was mowing I decided to do the same. It really did not seem that cold out with the sun out. This morning I am going to do a bit of straightening in the cellar before I head over to paint.

That forecast would keep me inside too!

I got some cleaning done inside and then got busy working on the budget, making sure as many automatic payments as possible come through the checking instead of credit card and cancelled a few things that we either don't use anymore or don't need the additional cost. Still have more work to do, but got a great start!

Weird = I thought I posted yesterday. This is what I did on Wednesday=I mowed two of the neighbors lawns that we take care of. This is the third year for one of them and the first year for the other. The one year the lady died last year. Seems funny to do her yard and her not coming out to pay. She was sweet. Her family has her house on the market but asked us to continue to take care of it. The other lawn the wife of the man asked us to keep it mowed and she will pay us. She lives in Pittsburgh and her hubby refuses to move. He is an alcoholic and has brain damage. So sad - they have three beautiful kids and now 5 grandchildren.

Did a bit of yard work and straightening up last night out back. Every little bit helps - rain today and a cold weekend ahead.

Khol - sounds like a good Easter celebration at your hours.e Oh how I use to love the sunrise service years ago. It was in the little park where I use to live. I had forgotten about it.

Glad your D15 had a good birthday.

Rainbows are a good way to start and finish a day.

Janet - I hope Issac feels better today. Glad to hear that Maegann had a good day.

I had a good day. Got things done as planned....just for different clients when it came to paid work. LOL Edits on one for the reviewer and submission of another as they finally got their budget eligibility.

Isaac came home with a bad headache this afternoon so I gave him ibuprofen, vitamin C and sent him to rest in his room. Destinie wasn't feeling well either so I sent her home and then also cancelled Isaac's time at basketball tonight.

We are watching Black Panther tonight as a compromise so Isaac didn't just play on the PS4. Maegann's over at Tayler's for their movie night. I like that his mom and brother join in too. She must have had a good day at school as I never heard a peep from her.

Easter festivities really do change over the years. We used to always go to an Easter sunrise service at the local gardens and walk around afterwards. This year we went to church. All four girls were here so I still made them baskets and had them search for them. I figure if I take the time to assemble them the least they can do is appease me by looking for them. We had a stovetop cooked meal together as our oven is on the fritz and my husband and I are in fix or buy debate mode. Then we all went outside together to enjoy the weather.

We celebrated a birthday on Saturday. I now have a D15! I hard boiled eggs for Easter that morning and had D22 drive D12 to the theatre for a costume rehearsal. When it was time for D15 to have her costume rehearsal the two older girls rode with us to the theatre to drop her off and pick up D12. Then the four of us did a two hour shopping spree for last minute presents. That was so much fun! Before going out for a birthday dinner we decorated the eggs with my husband. Then we picked up a DQ cake and D15 opened presents before hitting the hay.

D15 testing out her birthday wheels on Easter in the alley.

On Monday after everyone was done with homeschool, college paper writing, or work I hid eggs in the yard and the three youngest looked for them. D20 was motivated to do the search by the candy inside! We still haven't found one of the eggs. No one looked for it on Tuesday as it rained nearly all day here.

Early yesterday morning I drove D20 back to college for her last week of college before finals. We saw a rainbow on the way there. On the drive home another appeared a few minutes before I pulled up to the house...such a nice way to start the day!

Janet - I forget how crazy the spring grass is.

Glad you were able to get Isaac all caught up.

I am so impatient with driving any more. I swear when I am trying to go some where I always get behind a driver going 5 to 10 miles under the speed limit - makes me crazy and then we get a long line behind us. Right now they are working on our main road to work so it a fun drive trying to avoid pot holes and man covers.

That was so very nice of Maegann to help her friend,.

So it was raining and dreary when I got home last night and I just did not feel like doing anything. So I called my girlfriend. So good to talk to her and catch up. And while it talked to her it got so nice out. But then it clouded over again. I waited a bit for it to clear up and went out for a quick walk to get my steps i

Our grass is growing like crazy too. Gotta love fall fertilizer for the spring growth!

Isaac did get through most of his assignments and should be 100% caught up by the end of the week. I'm just going to have to be more diligent in watching the assignments every day or two.

Maegann was not able to work on the scholarships yet, but the plan is tomorrow afternoon. She was going to do them today as she was off at 2:00, but a good friend from the previous church was there moving her mom (whom we all have loved forever) to the memory unit and Maegann stayed to help with that project and to be there for Gerry (the friend). Proud of her for providing that service to Gerry.

My day was spent on some paid work, monitoring a drywall delivery and then just hanging out with the dogs and taking a nap. I had to leave for my client appointment about 4 and was ready to leave for home about 5:15 so traffic was going to be crazy no matter which way I went, but I knew to ignore the interstate. A 20 minute drive took me an hour. I chose to stop at the McD's on the way home to get Isaac something to eat as I knew there was no time to fix anything as he had to be at basketball practice by 6:45. Maegann got home as I returned from dropping him off and we chatted about work and her time with Gerry. Tim got home about 8 and Maegann went to get him something for supper while he took a shower and I went to pick up Isaac. We then all sat down together and watched a very stupid, but so funny video for 20 minutes called Llamas with Hats. It came up through a conversation Maegann had at work with Hailey. Now the kids are in bed and Tim and I are watching more of Dr. No before we head to sleep ourselves. Glad tomorrow should be calmer.

Janet - I agree - it is bittersweet how times change,. Loved having time with my kids and grand kids but Easter was so very quiet. And I really do not mind the quiet I just miss the old days.

Yesterday was beautiful - hard to be at work. When I got home I scooped the poop and mowed the lawn in the other house - could not believe how long that grass was and so thick. Then I puttered in my gardens - so happy to be outside again. Suppose to rain today.

I hope Isaac was able to get through all of his school work and you and Maegann found time to work on her scholarships.

Dorothy~Sounds like a very fun time with family for Easter! Our weather was strange like that yesterday too. We even had a huge thunder storm late afternoon. Enjoy your quiet today! Glad your cabin is almost renter ready!

We went to the earliest worship service this morning as I knew it would be the lowest attendance of the four being offered. Still a full house! It was a good message for Easter Sunday and not the usual one that I’ve typically heard which I enjoyed. Definitely the Resurrection subject, but offered differently. Also had four baptisms and the pastor told us there were going to be at least 20 by the end of the day.

After church we took Isaac out for breakfast to get him filled up before needing to engage his brain for school assignments and strength to mow the spring-length lawn. Lots of grass out there! He chose to start with Math and he has one of the two projects submitted and now he is mowing before he comes in to work on the second project and then Science.

I was planning to help Maegann with scholarships this afternoon too, but her schedule got changed and she is now working 2-7:30. She didn’t find out until she went in for the 6:30 a.m.shift. She has not been getting enough “good” sleep so she crawled right back into bed and she is still sleeping at noon. Will have to work on them tomorrow afternoon/evening once she is back from the NeuroPsych appointment.

Tim and I talked about how much Easter festivities has changed now that the kids are older and we were missing the fun of dying eggs, creating a scavenger hunt to find their surprise. Not even a special dinner…just going to make Sticky Orange Chicken with rice.

I went to the cabin yesterday and worked some more. One more trip up there and it should be ready for renting. I have renters coming in a couple of weeks

It was a weird day weather wise. Sun would be out and it would be pouring. It was like that all day long. 10 minutes of no rain and then an hour of rain and then another small break and than more rain. And the sun was out a lot and the sky was blue - go figure. Cooler today but should warm back up this week.

So my daughter Rebecca was here when I got home from work and she helped me get a load of stuff across the street - yea - opened up my house. Plus we got lawn chairs out and she even mowed my lawn.

The rest of the family arrived in two waves/ First Angela and her 2 daughters and my youngest Melissa who rode with them arrived, Rebecca and I had made chicken tacos so we ate those and visited and Angela made us some delicious cocktails. Mylinda arrived a couple of hours later with her three so we all just sat around and talked and laughed - I loved it. Everyone got up int he morning in stages and I just sat out breakfast food and they ate what they wanted. Got a ham in the oven and meatballs in the crock-pot. My mom came down Thursday night for a bit and she came back down on Friday - we all went to the Easter Egg hunt which is within walking distant from my house. My oldest grand daughter Amelia and I went down and helped set up. When we got back home just had to gt the veggies in the oven to roast and set out the food. Mom brought down cheesy potatoes. We had another much smaller Easter Egg hunt out back. The girls all stayed long enough for Michael to arrive and visit with him. And the grand kids all loved to see Uncle Micheal And again everyone left in waves. Mom was the first to leave. Followed a couple of hours later by Angela and Melissa and the girls. Mylinda headed out a couple of hours after that with her crew and Rebecca followed quickly after. I was tired and went to bed fairly early after I made sure everyone got home safely. I love having my family home but I love my quiet as well emoticon I am going to head up in a bit and try to get the cabin in shape for renting.

Enjoy your family time Dorothy!

I had a quiet day. Ran my errands first thing and then took a nap before my webinar began. It was SO boring, but I get continuing ed credit which I need. Tomorrow I will have more as I am attending a two-hour parent meeting on some changes to the Family Directed program. Once I finished the webinar I pulled class assignments for Isaac and emailed teachers so I could find out what was really accurate as sometimes they aren't updated. Next I did a little paid work and then Auggie came to get me for a nap.

I miss the days of our Easter scavenger hunts. emoticon Glad your neck is better!

I derailed my own day by letting myself fall back asleep instead of getting up as planned for Bible study. Yep...slept through enough of it that I missed it. So I headed to the lumber yard to pick up more drywall and then went to pick up groceries. I never quite felt on track during the afternoon, but got some paid work done before giving up.

Janet - I noticed about half way through the day my neck was no longer pinching - what a relief.

Glad you were able t have a quiet day.

Cleaned the house last night, groceries tonight - my family is coming in Thursday for the company Easter egg hunt on Friday. Makes me sad the girls are starting to get to be too old for it.

Dorothy~So glad that the tornado missed you as well. Hope your neck feels better tomorrow.

Didn't sleep well last night so spent time today catching up on that need, but did get some paid work done. Enjoyed a couple Hallmark movies too. Just a down day for me, but it's all good.

So I did stay home yesterday and laid back down for 3 hours. Found out that a 16 mile path of our town got hit with the tornado, Destroyed a lumber business, knocked down trees and poles, destroyed fences etc. Sure glad it missed me. I got all of the bedrooms tidied up for this weekend - my family will be coming into town so they are ready if any one needs a bed. Still have to make most of the beds but that does not take any time and the cat loves to lay on the beds - reason I did not make them all. I tore down one bed and put a different one in that room - I think that is how I tweaked my neck bringing the bed down the stairs. Also got the taxes finished up and mailed - glad that is done for another year.

Hope you ar able to get rid of that cough soon,.

Dorothy~I had read that storms were moving your direction so I wondered how much you were affected. So sorry that it made for such a long and restless night.

I had a quiet day and I made sure to rest more than anything as my cough had been too consistent again. Don’t want a relapse! I did a little cleaning, 4 loads of laundry, some paid work and took a nap. Tonight I’m just hanging out with the kids watching Carol Burnett. Tim just got home (8:45pm) so he’s grabbing supper and getting ready for another early day tomorrow. He said he was going to stay up until about 10 so we’ll watch some of The Voice.

Good grief - what a night - phone kept going off - tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm warnings, flood warnings, and if the phone was not going off the sirens were going, Finally fell asleep only to waken really early and could not fall back asleep. Sooo its going to be a long day. I am tempted to call off.

I helped the neighbors move all week. From, Friday after work and we finished up yesterday in the rain. At least it was nice Friday and Saturday. And we got everything out of the house - now to get my own house done - lol!

Glad you were able to have a quiet day.

Have fun helping your neighbors!

I've had a quiet day as all my tasks are inside and everyone else is out or gone. I did get a small amount of paid work finished (no plan writing), recipes printed for the week and now Sparking. It's game night and I know I won't have time to do this afterwards!

He says he is not interested. But he only has a year to go so hopefully I can talk him into it.

Glad you were able to get your plans done.

Helped the neighbors move last night and am helping again today.

Michael and his dad are fishing - first day in PA. Been a tradition since he was small - they go to some old friends of ours camp.

Does sound like Thursday was rough. Why isn't Michael enjoying school? Sorry about the renters backing out.

I got almost 4 plans done today (much easier ones) and only have 2 to go and I'll be in a good place for the coming weeks. Whew! I did get in a nap too.

Glad you got your paid work done. Sorry about the soup. The nap sounds delightful.

Yesterday was a rough day. My renters that were coming up for 13 days cancelled. Michael is not happy at school. And hubby and I had a disagreement. I handed it all over to the spirits. Trying to stay positive and compassionate.

Glad you were able to visit with a friend today Dorothy.

My day was pretty much spent on paid work which is what I planned. I did watch a movie called “The Circuit” when I wasn’t needing to think about words. About 2pm I couldn’t keep my eyes open and Auggie was wanting attention so the two of us headed to the sofa and we took a 45 minute nap. I made a veggie soup for supper and it was awful. Glad it was cheap as we just got rid of it. The honey muffins were good though.

We had quite a few leaves to rake up last month that were left over from the fall/winter. Talk about allergies!

Everyone went back to their lives today, but we are all home exhausted tonight. My sore throat is much better thanks to less coughing today. Laryngitis hit again at bible study so I did a lot of listening today. This afternoon I ended up just fielding work emails which required some documentation. Maybe I'll start drafting plans tomorrow.

Janet - it does not sound like fun times at your house. And coughing with a sore throat sure does not sound like fun. Last year I had some super bug and I don't ever remember having such a sore throat. Sure hope I can evade any sickness this year. Allergies are enough for me.

Hope you do not get any worse.

Got some more raking done last night. I should be just about done with that for now. Today I have an appointment and want to get to the store.

So glad you are better Dorothy and that it appears it was allergies this time around. Yeah!

Today I rested. I got some paid work done (mostly getting my time entered for pay) and took care of everyone else. Tim stayed home. Isaac stayed home--found out he didn't have classes today anyway. Maegann came home about 8:30a.m. and slept 9 hours straight. I don't think we've ever all been sick at the same time. Wild ride!

Isaac was getting his onry edge back somewhat tonight so he should be good to go tomorrow with kleenex in tow. Tim plans to head to work as he doesn't have to exert too much energy at the desk job. Maegann....not sure. I am planning to go to Bible study as long as I can get my cough under control. I'm fighting the raspy sound in my chest and sure don't want it to go to bronchitis or pneumonia so although my throat is on fire when I cough, I'm letting it happen.

So sorry the bug is hitting you all. I though I was coming down with something yesterday. I left work a couple of hours early because I wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and felt better once I was home and moving. It definitely does not do me good to sit around. I hope everyone is feeling better today. The neighbors daughter is on her second round of the darn bug.

Besides getting some things moved and rugs up and moved I cleaned the front porch and washed the windows and scrubbed the door - looks so much better. The back door needs a good painting.

That dust just embeds itself in too easily! Glad you had such a beautiful today outside and could open up the house for a time.

I felt much better today and probably overdid it a little, but this house was making me feel worse. LOL I swept. I cleaned the bathroom. I cleaned up the kitchen. Got the groceries. And then I was down. I did desk work to get that spot cleaned up too... finances and budget reviews. Now I'm in the living room alone watching The Voice.

Isaac was home with the bug today and had the fever/chills most of the day. Hope he feels well enough to go to school tomorrow. Tim has the bug too, but he went to work (6:30a-7:30p) so tonight he had supper (I bbq'd hamburgers.), took a shower and went to bed by 9. Maegann does have a little of the bug, but she went and got her nails done at 5:30 and then went to Tayler's for their family game night. She has to work a double shift tomorrow.

Tomorrow I should be able to get a couple plan drafts written as I'm just home doing laundry. Even if Isaac does stay home again, it will be quiet.

Glad you were able to kick the cold to the curb Janet.

I worked in the back yard of the other house yesterday and got most of the raking done and 2 or the 4 gardens cleaned. And they were the biggest gardens. It was so nice out - close to 70 so I had all of the doors and windows open.

So besides the yard work, my neighbor who is getting ready to move gave me a newer mattress and box springs, and her and her hunny helped me move my couch and love seat. I have to help them move next weekend. Sp\o I got the shampooer back out and shampooed the couch and love seat and the upstairs rugs and the steps. Everything is getting such a nice cleaning. But I must admit I am always amazed how dirty the water is emoticon I also ran down to check on my mom - she wanted me to visit a bit so I stayed about 20 min but I told her I was tired.
