I wish Tim could see what you are Dorothy! I see change...positive change and he's still wanting to hold her back from starting school next week. Frustrating to me....

Glad you got lots of things moved yesterday. Sorry the winter wonderland is back so soon.

Maegann worked from 6:30-2 today and texted me that she will have that shift for the next 2-3 days. More hours her first week than she had any week at the previous job! Now she's out hunting a couple parts at the junk yard (something for the front bumper and a decorative strip for a rear window), getting spare keys made (thankful as she locks herself out too often) and a car wash.

The morning was tiring for me as I was making sure everyone was up and out the door on time and nobody had the same schedule. Tomorrow will go smoother and I won't give up so much sleep.

Janet - that girl of yours sounds like she is doing AOK! And connecting with guys that are mature enough to handle her maturity. That is so nice.

Happy she was able to get another job. And wow - she bought and sold a car - she sure is not letting dust settle around her.

I hope you enjoyed your quiet time.

I came home Saturday night. Yesterday I moved lots of stuff in the morning. It was very nice out - even had the doors open to get some fresh air in. The afternoon was a different story - the winds picked up and it started to snow. We are officially back in a winter wonderland for the week.

I have had a good Sunday. Worship, Bible study lessons, a nap, took a drive and now I’m watching “One Day at a Time” while Sparking. The drive was because Maegann sold her Volvo and then bought a Saturn. Maegann was spending time with “blue eyes” and had our truck so a third driver was needed. She is a happy girl tonight. Oh yeah....Jeff (the very first boyfriend from about a year ago) was over for several hours before she had to leave for Boise. They connected again this morning by text and chose to get together to talk. Broken relationships bring back friendships. It was nice seeing him again. He's a sweet boy.

Tomorrow I will do some cleaning, a little paid work and then I have a client meeting at 2:30.

Dorothy~When will you be back home after your time in Buffalo? I'm glad you had time to meet with a friend.

Maegann's list of guy friends has stabilized for now. emoticon Ol' blue eyes is a very polite young man and she wants to spend time with him again so I told her she could do that tomorrow afternoon for a few hours. I'm thankful he does not drive and lives 30+ minutes away. LOL Tonight she is over at Trever's "gaming" for a few hours. They do have fun and the mom always joins in with them too. This one only lives about 5 minutes away. Then there is Scott, who is 25, and the son of good friends of ours. They enjoy hanging out and are both very aware of the need to keep it as nothing more than friends due to Maegann only being 17. The other one is no worry at all as he lives in Australia. Oh yeah, there is one more online friend about 90 minutes away from here (Kayden) who she met by chance at a grocery store in Boise when she was taking a day to just be on her own after the break-up. He was there with his mom.

I got groceries ordered to pick up tomorrow and plan to spend time on Bible study lessons in the afternoon. Today I finally got the "must do" client plan draft done. Took 4 1/2 hours! No wonder I was procrastinating!

Oh...Maegann got the job at the assisted living center that is about a mile away. Her first training shift is 6:30-2:00. She is NOT a morning person! I'm looking forward to most of a day alone!

Janet. My wish for her is to also find her way again. Although I must admit that is funny. I have found that our whole life is a journey of finding ourselves.

Can't wait to hear all about old blue eyes

I think part of her journey is that she is an old soul in a young girls body

Michael almost quit Tim Horton as well as he got a new boss who is over bearing. I get it. They are trying to whip the store into shape. But why be that way with your good workers?? He put in a two week notice and they gave him a raise. Lol. I do believe he is still looking for a different job though

Such a busy week. I am back in Buffalo. My youngest daughter Melissa is relieving me later this morning so I can meet a friend who needs some TLC. I will meet her half way home. Melinda should be getting home later tonight.

Carl had to keep Thomas half a day Wednesday and Thursday as he was running a fever. Hopefully he well feel better today. He wE feeling a lot better yesterday

Kirara had a good time at church camp

While home I was busy getting more stuff moved and got a hair cut. Monday I hAve a Dr appointment and I hAve a friend coming to stay Thursday _ Saturday. She is the one that recently lost her husband

Thank you Kohl. I just hope God can grasp her heart once again. She is definitely in a battle over her faith.

So far Maegann's birthday has consisted of me going to Bible study and she drove to Boise to meet "blue eyes" and go Dutch Bros "hopping" as she gets a free drink for her birthday. I know they went by Tim's work so he could meet this friend and she took him a Mocha. Tonight we are all supposed to go out for dinner somewhere. Tim suspicions that she is inviting "blue eyes" to come with us. Here's the thing about this new friend. She met him online and they have talked for about a month off and on and this was their first time to go hang out together. She nicknamed him "blue eyes" and I think that was partly because his name is..... Michael Daniel. Yep, another Michael, but the middle name is also the same. LOL Last night she met a friend at the movie theater and had a fun time so the birthday week is underway!

Dorothy~That does sound like a busy weekend. Hope you get some rest before you head back on Thursday!

Kids are doing well. Isaac is back at school after a long weekend and he is enjoying not having basketball practice to keep his day longer. Maegann got a handful of scholarship applications submitted last night and today she got her application done for a care center who is looking for help in the dining room. They had asked her to come today. Tomorrow she turns 17! Yikes! She is actually planning to meet someone in Boise about noon and do some Dutch Brothers “hopping” as you get free drinks on your birthday. LOL We are then going to dinner somewhere to celebrate.

Headed to Buffalo on Friday after work - the girls and I had a spa day planned on Saturday and it was wonderful.

I stayed in Buffalo Sunday night as well as I watched Mylinda's kids on Sunday as she was off to Berlin, Germany and her hubby had to work. I dropped off grand daughter Kiara at the church as she was going on a church retreat and will not be back until Wednesday. I dropped Thomas off at daycare and Trevor and I hung out at the house. Carl has off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday so he will be in charge. I will go back up on Thursday night and stay with the kids Friday and Saturday morning. I am so tired this morning - did not get home until 7:00 last night.

We slept in today. I was awakened by Auggie and Ellsworth about 10. Auggie jumped up onto me and Ellsworth stood at the bed howling at Auggie. I ran errands and then came home to go through Isaac's school assignments, etc. and then got him lined out with a couple of assignments he'd missed. Next up I cleaned out work emails and did some Sparking before time to make spaghetti for supper. Tonight I'm watching a documentary series on the 70's. It's been interesting. I noticed they also have the 80's listed as well.

Tomorrow we are going to church early and then I intend to work on Bible study lessons.

Yep...every Saturday night! Tim and I watched Lawrence Welk for years with the kids too and they loved it. We called it "Music Appreciation" class!

Today was just off because Tim was working from home today and he just doesn't realize how much more noise it brings to the day and interruptions when he is needing help with something. It's okay....just don't feel like it was a calm day when it really was! I did miss my "extended sleep aka nap" this morning though! Otherwise, worked with Maegann on scholarship documentation and today she had to get video of makeup application for a "big" one and I had promised to be her model. Ended up with a huge headache from something and I've continued fighting it all day. She did a nice job though and then did herself so she has more video to pull from. I know she also did some job applications this afternoon.

Tonight Tim and Maegann are off for their annual Valentine's Night with friends Peter and Grace. Probably their last one as Grace is off to college in the fall. Isaac and I have planned to eat at Smokey Mountain Pizza and then come home and watch Scooby Doo. I like that as I don't have to do anything except rest. Will probably use the time to get the meal plan and grocery list done too.

Khol - sounds like a perfect birthday for your daughter.

I have been taking a couple of loads over to the other house every day and putting things away and sorting through all of my clothes - have one bag to get rid of, one bag for garbage and still working on them. Feels good.

Janet - glad to hear that you were able to get caught up on paid work. I remember watching Carol Burnett growing up - how about Lawrence Welk?? My grandmother loved it.

Kohl~Sounds like a great birthday! We have been recording Carol Burnett as it airs on MeTV with other old shows. We love that channel.

I spent my entire day on paid work since the place was empty. I was so glad to be as caught up as I can be and finally the deadlines are in March so things are getting back on track with the eligibilities. Whew!

Dorothy — Hope you can take baby steps with the moving and selling.

Janet — I haven't watched Carol Burnett since I was a child. That sounds like fun.

Birthday for D12 was nice. We took a day off of homeschooling to celebrate her day. We had fresh blueberries homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast. She chose to read and play computer games alone. Then we took turns playing Mancala with her as that is a game she discovered in the closet recently. For lunch I made a special tray of her favorite fresh veggies and she had salt & vinegar chips as requested, too. I fixed parmesan chicken, mashed potatoes, and steamed green beans for dinner. Then we had a DQ ice cream cake. She wanted blue decorations and since we didn't call ahead she brought home one with a shark on it. This time of year the color theme for decorations is pink, red, and purple. She was happy to avoid that! S23 called via FaceTime just after we sang happy birthday and listened in nd watched her open presents. Earlier in the week he had sent her Switchfoot's newest album, Native Tongue, and it was on in the background when he called so he asked her which song she liked best. She had listened to it at least 10x so she said Oxygen and preceded to sing it to him. He was happy to know she was enjoying his gift to her. I think her other favorite gift was MadMatter. She says it's kind of like the MoonSand she had when she was younger but "much improved." One year left and I won't have any children. They will all be teens and twenties.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Dorothy~Nice that you have plenty of time to get it all done.

I got the three "must do" paid work items done this morning and then helped Maegann with a couple of scholarship applications and then did Sparking as the afternoon was about done. Now we are watching a couple episodes of Carol Burnett & Friends as I just needed something to make me laugh. Not sure why, but I did.

We had a couple of inches of snow this morning to drive in and most of the roads are clear already tonight. We made church -- went to the first service so Maegann could go before work -- and then we met friends from another church at Cracker Barrel for lunch. There were 14 of us and it was fun. Isaac went home with Nate and his family so we had a couple hours of quiet at home this afternoon.

Khol - I am glad your daughter has found a good counselor - that is the hard part is getting appointments to get in. At least you have your foot in the door now.

Sounds like all of the family is doing well.

Congrats on landing your plane.

Janet - usually a person is able to tell when it is time to change and it sounds like this women knew it was time.

Been a busy week - mostly just been hard for me to get moving in the mornings. Not sure why - I think the winter months of darkness are getting to me although every day is getting longer. I am sure the other part is living with someone with lots of depression - it makes it so very hard.

WE are suppose to be moving across the street and it needs to get done so I can get this house up and running as a rental but hubby just has no ambition and just keeps on making messes. I am sure that is part of my problem as well. Luckily today my daughter is coming home to help me get things moving in the right direction.

I've managed to get some paid work done although I ended up doing some I hadn't planned on as the client who was transitioning back to the traditional care as he needs to be institutionalized needed a pro-rated plan written to end his current services. I'm just thankful for his mom that this very long journey of sole caretaker since her husband died in November is coming to a close. It was heart breaking for her to make this decision though. She loves her son so much.

So instead of doing more paid work I decided to Spark instead of leaving it until 10 p.m.

Kohl~Congrats on landing the plane!!! That's exciting!!! Daisies are remaining steady and consistent and lots of updates from Nola on her husband's medical stuff. He is at the house and actually doing well overall, but Nola is tired. SO glad this counselor appears to be a good one for your daughter. I will hold that in prayer as I know how important that can be for our hurting kiddos.

Dorothy~Hope you were able to accomplish what you wanted to today.

My massage was much needed and tomorrow I should feel better after the deep work aches I'm having tonight. I then got two more plan drafts done and received approvals back on two others. Yeah!

No amazing Super Bowl stories here! What I remember from childhood is a lot of yelling and cheering in my home but since my dad and his brother were always rooting for different teams someone was not happy when it was over. Found myself a husband who could care less so much that we've never watched one.

My daughter had her intake session with the counselor she met in the hospital in December. They've decided on biweekly vists and to go from there. That makes three appointments a month when we include the family doctor. When we arrived at the appointment she commented that she didn't need to be there because she had only had one real issue since the hospital episode. That episode was earlier this week by the way. I talked her into going in and she came out of the experience feeling positive and knowing it was good to have gone. Yes! Only problem is the next available appointment with this wonderful counselor isn't for a whole month. Thankful we will see the doctor in between. We have scheduled three appointments two weeks apart to get us on track for the biweeklies.

Homeschooling was mostly independent work for the girls today. We read Bible together and then they each chose the order of their assignments. They both had difficulties with their math. D14 was able to help D11 work through hers while her own will be addressed top of the morning tomorrow.

Time to exercise! I have been sitting for most of the day. And Janet I'm embarrassed to say that I landed the Teddy Bear plane this week for first place I think. Sure am missing the Daisies this round! Been doing both cardio and strength every day but alternating upper body and lower body on the strength training to manage rest time.

Janet - I am truly jealous of that time zone - because I think it is dumb they start it so late - emoticon

Aren't those the best parties. The one Thanksgiving we had it in my daughters unfinished house and it was one of my favorites.

Taking another day off of work. I need to follow a friend to drop off her car and then go to the funeral home - hoping to get some stuff done in between.

We used to have Superbowl parties of 20+ people. My favorite was one when the living areas were still under construction and we did not have heat installed. We had huge propane heaters like you see on the sidelines at the games and it was so fun when it would randomly start blowing. Felt like we were there! We are also lucky with the time zone as the game begins at 4:30.

Dorothy — Touring with a friend sounds nice!

Janet — We've never watched a Super Bowl! Shows how sports oriented we are...NOT!

Watched Ant-Man today instead of last night since we chatted for quite a while at Wendy's and chatted some more via FaceTime with my husband. I enjoyed it more than the sequel. Dorothy I suggest you watch them in order if you ever get around to seeing them.

Dorothy~I want to see the new Mary Poppins movie, but I still like the original. Sounds like a fun day with your friend yesterday.

Kohl~Hope you have a quiet day planned.

Worship was good and then came home and bbq'd hamburgers for lunch. Now I'm watching "Friends" while Sparking as the wait for the SuperBowl has begun. We don't watch all the pre-show stuff.

Khol - I hate to admit it but I love when hubby is away and I can getting things done on my timetable. Enjoy yourself.

I actually want to watch that movie - I have not seen the first one either.

Janet - how nice to have a day with out the alarm clock.

Yesterday went to a great nephews birthday party and then I picked up my frind Cheryl. She is the one I do the garden work for. She was having cabin fever. So I took her touring to five different wineries. 3 of them I have been to before. It was fun - I think it did us both good so today I am trying to do some double timing - I am already getting pooped - hahaha

Dorothy~Solid plans for retirement time. You are always so busy that I know you'll still find lots to do! We just watched Mary Poppins last Friday for family movie night.

Kohl~Good luck "finding yourself". emoticon I am not sure I would enjoy Ant-Man... LOL

We got to sleep in without an alarm today. Yippee! I then got several small tasks done while laundry was going and then got some paid work done (mainly Isaac's plan) and groceries picked up. A good day overall.

Janet — I'm finding myself again this week. emoticon My husband is a bit of a controller in that he always has a list of things for me to complete for him. Actually they can even be things that I want to do but on his timetable. I like deciding when to get up, shovel, make a call...It's the lighter happier me. I'll have to tell him so by message...perhaps that will do the trick!

Dorothy — Mary Poppins sounds like a fun one! Ditto here on that weather forecast!

Looking forward to a whole day of decluttering and cleaning but first I have to grade yesterday's math. Last night I watched Ant-Man and the Wasp on Netflix with my daughters. I didn't really know what was going on because it was a sequel to Ant-Man which I haven't seen yet. One thing I can tell you is there was lots of size changing and not only the characters but vehicles and a building, too!

Khol - I get the wanting to be a home body - I love being a home body.

We had rain last week as well after a snow storm and then onto subzero weather - what a mess

Love the picture.

My grand daughter is doing Mary Poppins this year and I believe she has the part of the mother.

That is bad when the answer book is wrong - geesh!

Sounds like a fun day at your house with pictionary.

And cute that you and hubby are comparing meals.

Janet - hope you caught up on your rest

Glad to hear that Maeganns appointment went well and that she adjusting to the break up. Yea for her finding herself again. Why do we let others control us. Ugh!

Nice that you were able to get through some paid work.

I worked on finances last weekend so I was able to get the taxes filed.
Suppose to get in the 30's today, 40's tomorrow and 50's on Monday - I will take it. And long term it looks to be only in the teens at night - I will take that too!

We celebrated one of our employees retirement yesterday. I am thinking 2 more years and I will retire from my job - right now I can retire with my benefits - and my pension and i can work part time until I can start collecting Social Security. Sounds like a good plan to me. So many changes at work and it is just not enjoyable like it use to be. On a sadder not one of the men I use to work with and just retired a year or so ago passed away - I do not want that happening to me - I really would love to enjoy my retirement.

emoticon Dorothy!

I didn't get very much done today at all. Was so tired that I got home from taking Isaac to school and chose a nap on the sofa. Two hours later.... I got Maegann up, fed the dogs and then started on my paid work emails. I worked so slowly and by end of the afternoon I had the "had to" items done, but that makes me behind since I didn't get any further. Oh well.

Janet — Don't you mind him!

We worked through school quickly and only hit a few rough patches. I hate it when the answer book is wrong and I actually have to figure it out especially when it's math.

The four of us played Dictionary after school while the potatoes wee baking in the oven. I teamed up with D14 and D22 teamed up with D11. We were behind the whole game but landed on the last spot where they were as well and then we won the all play. Never saw that coming and I am the worst at drawing for sure.

Now I need to grade today's math. Tonight D23 sent me a link to his first published grad research paper. I get the gist of the abstract but am blown away by the level of the math involved. How can anyone set up and solve problems with that many things going on under the radical sign? Scientists will always amaze me. I have trouble even downloading a pdf and finding it on my computer. Thought I downloaded it but it doesn't seem to begin my downloads file. Hmmm.

My husband and I have a good relationship when it comes to messaging. I guess it's because there is not as much emotion when you are not in the same room! We've been sending each other pics of our meals and deciding who has the better deal. My banana muffins out did his buckwheat pancakes yesterday but his pizza was way more appealing than my mac & cheese that evening. Tonight he made spaghetti and we had pork chops with baked potatoes. I think I win tonight.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Hi ladies!

My day has consisted of a client meeting, errands and getting our finances updated and first of the month bills paid. Took much longer than I thought it might so no paid work was accomplished as planned. Oh well…there’s always tomorrow.

Maegann is doing better each day and today she did some “rebound” shopping at work. Bought a few things she absolutely loved and was told “no” by Michael. Each day more and more comes out and I am now going to pray that Michael’s eyes are opened to his controlling (somewhat abusive) nature. He is such a nice young man otherwise. Having said that…. Isaac and I have both seen him with another girl already. Isaac says they are together around campus all the time and I just happened to spot them driving back to the school at lunch time and I know they were at his house because of the direction and road being traveled. For someone who said he never paid attention or looked at other girls this seems pretty fast to me.

Kohl~Thanks for posting the photo! Love the butterfly hats.

Finally had Maegann's appointment with the Neuro Behavioral doctor and she is going to make some med changes that should help with sleep, mood and headaches which she thinks is from low blood pressure. We both liked her and that helps so much.

It was noon by the time we were done so we stopped at Chipotle for lunch and then headed home. My task at home was to work through all the paid work emails that have been piling up for three days. Thankfully most didn't require a lot of "to do" work other than just some responses. Thankful. I did get through all of them and have it organized for tomorrow. I have a client meeting at 10:30, but again thankful as she is meeting me less than 5 minutes from home.

The break from Michael has had its ups and downs of course. Yesterday she was at a very low place by the time she came home from work and shed a lot of tears and made a stupid mistake of contacting him on messenger. Today though she says she is glad she did that because his response was just what she was getting rid of...the guilt, casting blame, etc. No tears shed today and tonight she was back to totally happy and excited to go to the young adult group. And yes...it helps tremendously that she does not have to run into him at school.

Kohl~I sure hope solo is the next phase! LOL It was the public school culture of needing to have a boy/girl-friend to have "worth" which with her depression she "needed" someone. We knew it wasn't a good thing, but you know how it goes....we have to let them make their own mistakes sometimes.

So tired.... only 4 hours of sleep last night and a not very restful nap this afternoon. Ready for 6-7 hours tonight. I hope. I think we are all packing in it right now (9:45).

Dorothy — Glad you could get a walk in out there. The only walk I managed outside this morning was from the house to the garage to fetch the cats. It was more like skating. My boots didn't leave the ground once I was off the steps. It rained late evening and then it snowed leaving an icy coating to every surface you walk on.

Janet — Has Meagan ever considered going solo for awhile! emoticon D20 says no to every advance for the time being even though she says it isn't easy. She wants to get through some counseling to be a stronger person first. For that I am thankful.

It's finally down time for us. The only things we are concentrating on this week are homeschooling/audition pieces and decluttering/cleaning. D14 went to biology class yesterday for a crayfish dissection. D22 helped the younger girls pick out audition pieces. This round D11 will sing Arabian Nights from Aladdin and D14 How Far I'll Go from Moana. So excited to see growth in their singing abilities.

This morning my husband left for a week long visit with his dad. I thought about going with him and taking the younger two girls while having D22 hold down the fort now that we have two working vehicles. We have two weeks off from theatre before auditions so it was tempting to go but we three are so tired from being on the go. The thought of being homebodies won out.

Update: Maegann broke it off with Michael. We helped her write the letter and then she made a voice recording "text" to send to him. Thankfully his response was kind in return and not the usual pleading to not leave. Tim and I blocked their numbers to help them make the break because we knew it would be difficult if still in contact.

Kohl~Sounds like a fun set of plays! Glad the girls did so well embracing their parts.

You are so right about the controlling relationship too. I have talked with Maegann about how the things that bother you while dating, no matter how small, will only magnify once married so not to dismiss them. She's learned a lot through this relationship with Michael. Today she said Michael did text to ask what she did on Sunday and she told him she went looking at cars with her dad and bought a pair of shoes. He wanted to know what kind and she told him "heels." His comment was "Why? You can't wear them." She said I texted back "I can too and I love them!" No reply as far as I know of right now.

My day was spent on groceries, laundry and Isaac's budget plan. Had his qualification interview this afternoon so now we wait and see how much $$ comes his way for the year.

Dorothy — It seems we have the same weather. Saturday night when the theatre show let out we had a slippery ride home. We weren't expecting it until overnight so we were surprised! So glad my parents made it home safely. They had half of an hour more to go than we did. Looking for a high of 40 today with rain and by Wed a high of -5. Rollercoaster weather!

Janet — A controlling relationship rarely gets less controlling. Emotional confrontations can wreck havoc on your well being. MIA sounds like a well thought out plan.

The younger girls had their second performance yesterday afternoon. D11 grew into more evil as the week progressed and did her best on the last day. She was the Dragon Lady in the younger youth play written by a local playwright. D14 was a Gentleman of Japan in Hot Mikado. I hate to say it but she was a handsome gent. My husband and the older girls said it was one of the best shows yet. After the younger girls went to their cast party our family went out for pizza. We had tripe chocolate cake a few minutes before midnight. A long but great day!

That is definitely not how you usually hear a cancer story. Wow. Enjoy the snow today.

No car to sell today as the people couldn't make it after all. The good side to that is there is still something that needs fixed and this gives Tim time to do it and it will help the sale price stay higher for her.

Other news around here.... Maegann is almost ready to break up with Michael for several reasons. Tim and I have felt it was coming and just had to let it happen naturally. It will be tough for her as she really does care for him. This is going to be a huge help for her brain recovery as he keeps her "down" much of the time. She's so happy at work and with the young adult group as she can be herself. I had to laugh at her as she came home with a $5 pair of Calvin Klein dress pumps today (she and Tim were looking at cars near a thrift store this morning) and told me as she came in that she bought her pre-break up shoes. She finally admitted she wasn't "allowed" to wear heels because she would be as tall or taller. Appears there was more oppression/control than we even knew about. Her dad told her to just go MIA for awhile and things will fade out a bit and then it will be something that just happens instead of a confrontation with so much emotion. I am just very thankful she has figured it out and is ready to be "free".

Janet - They found out just before winter. And the sad thing was that she had just been declared cancer free from her battle with breast cancer. Which was wonderful for her but then they found he had it in his brain.

I hope Maegann sells her car today - she is quite the resourceful young lady.

So we are under a winter advisory until noon. It had just started snowing yesterday on our trip back from the service. So luckily not too bad, Wednesday and Thursday never even suppose to hit double digits. Won't be too bad as long as the wind does not blow - then is when it gets unbearable. Going to be a week to hunker down.

Dorothy~Was the brain cancer a sudden development or was there time to prepare a little?

Kohl~How did the theatre go for everyone?

I spent my morning on little things that needed done and even though it is an accomplishment, still feels like nothing got done at the same time. LOL Tomorrow is church and then a day of rest. No football so will probably read, do Bible study and/or work on a jigsaw puzzle. Maegann has someone coming to look at her car in the afternoon so with any luck it will be sold so she can begin looking for a different one.

Khol - your weather sounds alot like ours - we had a snow storm over the weekend followed by bitter cold temps followed by 40' and rain and cold again - so there are icy ruts everywhere. Yuck.

And it is suppose to be bitter cold next week again as well. Glad when this is all past us.

Hope your daughter was evil enough, emoticon

Janet - I am so happy for Maegann - it helps to have peers you can connect with.

Smart girl - she should look into a ford - they are probably very reasonable to repair. I Had a Lincoln for a while but the repairs costs were crazy. Fords or chevys seem to be the way to go for upkeep. Although I do love the subarus.

Sad news on Thursday - my girl friend's husband died from brain cancer. My daughter and I are headed there today to pay respects.

Kohl~So...was she more evil? LOL Glad your hubby was able to move the chunks of snow and ice from the end of the driveway so you could get in and out.

Dorothy~That does sound like a bad time to try and cross the street.

Maegann LOVED the young adult group!!! She is making sure Wednesday nights are clear from work! She was so happy to find people that "think like me" and "understand what I'm going through" and "they don't have it all together regarding God either." She even bought a new journal to use at the group for the studies. She said the first week of the month is spent in worship (singing, praying, etc.) and then two weeks are study times and then the fourth is spent in small groups in someone's home. So this mom is SO happy as this is answered prayer in a huge way.

Today I ended up with a day to myself until Isaac got home as Maegann took a second shift for another Hostess. Tomorrow I'll have at least a few hours to myself as she has training at Red Robin beginning at 10 and she isn't sure how long it lasts.

The other newsy item is that she is ready to sell the Volvo. Sort of like flipping a house as right now she could easily double her money with the work she and her dad have done. What started her wanting to sell was the cost of coming repairs as it seems you can't touch a thing for less than $200 (starter, car key--yes, it is $225!--tires) so she is ready to get the higher dollar return now and then start looking for another car with a lot more cash in hand this time.

Janet — Hoping this group is what Meagan needs! When D20 was 16 she mingled with the college and career group at our church as it was a better fit for her.

Dorothy — Don't you hate it when the weather messes up your routine. I haven't gone for a walk outside since last Friday before the storm and it doesn't look like I will be able to do so

The snow plow finally showed up last night before midnight. So no ice ruts on our street. It left boulders of snow and ice on our sidewalk and blocking the alley. My husband went out there and braved the rain to clear a spot so we could enter the van from our walkway and so people could actually use the alley. Glad he did because everything is frozen again out there.

Tonight is last regular tech rehearsal. Tomorrow is dress rehearsal. Last night I didn't get to watch the show straight through as I was handing out teeshirts ordered for the show. Remind me not to agree to that job the next time. Everyone was basically satisfied but one girl had to go home with a shirt one size smaller than she ordered because that was what was sent by the printing company. Better than what happened to us in the past when D11's name was spelled wrong.

Tonight I plan to sit back and enjoy the show. D11 has been told by the director that she needs to be "more evil"... hopefully she can figure out how to do just that. D14 is really enjoying herself this time especially with the dancing. I love to see her smile doing something she loves.
