Sorry about the sinus fun Dorothy. I always struggle this time of year because of the pollen and dust. Hope you feel better soon.

My day was pretty much all paid work today. I spent some time sending emails out to several clients who hadn't approved time for a few months. It's easy to forget.

Heading over to Maegann's counseling in about an hour and then hoping to catch up on last night's Voice. Didn't watch that or Dance last night.

I think we got close to 60 but it was rainy all day so did not feel like it. And I have heard the s work in the forecast already. emoticon

My sinus's were bothering me all weekend and yesterday I felt like my head was going to explode so I left work early and went to the cabin where I took a nap emoticon emoticon Hopefully it clears up soon. Pretty sure it the craziness of the weather that is causing it.

We had a high of 49 today. Brrrrr But when the sun was out about noon I enjoyed the fake warmth on the south side of the house and got more fall decorating done.

I just kept busy around here much of the day. I am looking forward to just resting now.

Janet - sounds like a good and productive Sunday .

We were under a frost advisory but did not get any yet.

Sunday I went to my daughters and helped her get her yard ready for winter. She made a yummy soup while I was there.

Tonight I head to the cabin to clean.

Worship was so good today--from the music through the sermon. The main thought was "Be willing and ready to be served." So easy to be the giver...not so much the receiver!

Football--Boring games telecast today and I can't believe they couldn't cut to a different game this afternoon. Blowout of Dallas and Jax. I did get to see my Steelers pull off an amazing win in the last seconds of the game, but my Raiders are just pretty worthless this year. Gruden has sure changed the landscape of the team and it is showing. They got tromped by Seattle today. Ugh.

During football--Tim and Isaac worked outside clearing out piles of brick, etc. to clean up from that project (looks nicer out front now) and got the sprinklers blown out. Maegann just hung out in her room.

After football--Maegann is doing Algebra with Tim's help. Isaac is playing video games. I am watching "Autum Stables" on my laptop while I Spark. I broke down and bought the year-long membership to Hallmark Movies Now as I love their movies and never get to see them and it's almost Countdown to Christmas! LOL

Tomorrow I will have laundry, grocery shopping, paid work and bible study time. Tim will be out working again.

Tim's job outlook--He does have the Skype interview on Tuesday afternoon and we'll see what comes, but for now he has things going in a solid direction once again. He can do work for ACS as they need it as the money is worth the effort. He has begun working with Wendall on fencing projects and they have worked out a good plan for payment by the day as Wendall is just getting this new business started. Then Tim has his own odd jobs that he has advertised to do. And now my income comes in much handier.

Maegann--So far the increased dosage of her antidepressant has not bothered her so that is good. Supposed to give her this for a couple of weeks and then try to go up again. The new daily treatment for her migraine/headache is definitely working. She actually has had a day without a headache for the first time since the initial concussion!

Isaac--Thursday afternoon is the IEP meeting and I did speak with the VP of Special Ed on Friday regarding a social issue that came up this past week and about who will be invited to the meeting as she has decided that Isaac definitely needs an IEP which speeds up the process once again for us. I knew he would need something...we'll see what is discussed as a couple of his teachers will be there too.

Janet - I hear you there - ugh money. Never enough.

I think the spirits are thought of as guides - so I do believe it is good.

Cleaned the rental house on Thursday - need to finish cleaning i this morning as I have guests arriving today. Cleaned the cabin last night - also have guests there overnight.

I need to finish getting things put away as well as the cold weather has arrived - we are now in the 40's and 50's.

Spirits? Is that a good thing? Hope your back begins feeling better.

Massage was wonderful and my neck and shoulders were so tight. This afternoon I got the finances and mid-month bills figured out. I limped us through them without enough funds right now. Ugh...money!

Janet - mostly blues. The instructor saw spirits around some of the people but not around me.

Enjoy that massage - I think I need one - my back is killing me for some reason.

Guess Tim just does not want you to be alone emoticon

Got groceries last night and tonight I have to clean the rental - tomorrow the cabin.

Dorothy~So....what color(s) did you see for yourself? Interesting.

Today’s fun was ladies Bible study all morning (yeah!) and then I was home briefly before heading to a client meeting (30 min drive each way). I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and finally got to be home about 4:30. Tomorrow things settle down. I have a massage first thing in the morning (rescheduled from Tuesday) and then I am home for the day with an empty house! That is becoming more and more rare as Tim does more from home.

Janet - it was a class on how to read auras - and I did it - it was fascinating. But made for a short night - I only got about 4 hours of sleep - going to be a long day. I need to clean the rental tonight.

I hope the meds adjustment works for Maegann. Enjoy your bible study and hope the client meeting goes smoothly.

What type of class did you take Dorothy?

We had more rain today than we have had in 4 months! Loved the rainy day though!

We are going to increase Maegann's antidepressant and see if that will help. At any rate, glad to have all the doctor's appointments done for the week.

Tomorrow is bible study and then I have a client meeting in the afternoon.

Janet - I hope for her sake and yours that you can get it straightened out - I am happy to hear that she enjoyed her trip.

Hot and humid here for the next couple of days and then the temps drop - surprise - hahaha - may take a half a day off today to mow since it did not rain yesterday and may be a bit dryer. Taking a class tonight so I will be up way past my bedtime - lol!

I updated Maegann's trip on my blog tonight. Overall...very positive.

Next priority with Maegann is getting her depression handled which will help with many of the self-esteem issues that are keeping her from a happy time. Tomorrow we see the pediatrician regarding the meds and SO thankful we caught a cancellation when I phoned or it would be months.

Janet - it is a lot of yard work. I mowed some yesterday at the cabin but it was really wet - may run back up tonight to mow a bit more - guests arriving tomorrow.

Glad to hear Tim and Isaac arrived home safely and hope Maegann did as well. Hopefully she had a wonderful adventure.

People in the rental may stay another night - I guess I will find out later today.

Dorothy~Sounds like a lot of yard work getting taken care of before you can't be outside much.

Tim and Isaac got home about 1:30 and Isaac then headed over to Nate's for several hours. Maegann should be home in 2 1/2 - 3 hours. I am anxious to hear the stories from her trip.

I slept so well last night, but woke up tired and just can't shake the yawns. May have to nap during football. LOL

I worked in the back yard yesterday morning and finally got rest of the grass seed put down. That was a hard job and I still have the 2 front yard and the back yard across the street emoticon emoticon I took up all of the dead grass - pulled out any creeping charlie and roughed it all up before putting down seed - I did not realize how much of yard had died - but at least our back yard is done. May work on the front yard today - and I need to go clean the cabin at some point. Will also have to work around the rain.

Don't you love it when fathers gt involved with the permissions - emoticon I hope she i having a good time.

I hear you on not getting much done - I had big plans when Mike was at camp with the SIL and got very little done.

Praying for Tim and Issac to have a safe trip home.

Not as rainy today as I'd hoped, but still cold and windy. Just hanging out and am watching Christmas movies while I Spark. Currently "12 Days of Christmas Eve" is playing.

I did have to turn Maegann's phone permissions on again for a time as she is at Lagoon Amusement Park until 11:30 tonight and needs to be able to reach leaders and she couldn't. Found out Tim had gone in and shut her completely down. Ugh!

Guess Tim and Isaac are leaving about 4 a.m. for home so should see them around 2:30 or so. I sure haven't done much around here as I'd hoped. Oh well.

I blogged my day -- nothing too exciting. I did block Michael's number on Maegann's phone temporarily though so she would get off the darn thing. Wasn't even supposed to be on it. Ugh!

Janet - enjoy your quiet weekend - I know it will go fast.

Glad to hear that Tim and Issac made it safely.

Ran to the cabin last night to turn on outside lights - sure was wet up there. Them home to tidy up the rental. Renters came in last night for the cabin and today for the house. So Sunday will busy getting them both cleaned up. Tomorrow though I can hopefully work on my own stuff.

Glad you moms hit it off! We did meet Michael's dad at the homecoming game, but not the live-in girlfriend. Sometimes you wonder how a child turns out so differently.

Tim and Isaac made it to Colorado safely. I drop Maegann off at church at 8 in the morning. Then the weekend is mine! I was able to get through most of the paid work "must do's" today, but finally just said "have to quit" as it was taking too long to figure some easy things out. Tomorrow is another day to accomplish more.

Sounds like a busy house hold at your house - everyone going in every direction - sounds like you will have some quiet time.

Tonight have to run to the cabin and unlock the door as I have guests arriving,.

Peaking in briefly during a moment of "up" time today. That stomach bug hit hard and fast yesterday about 10 a.m. Thankful I felt better this morning (sort of) so I could shower and try to eat something. Can tell I'm dehydrated.

Maegann was home all week and will miss some of her class time on Monday due to the neurologist appointment. She leaves Friday morning at 8:30 on "Destination Unknown". Tim took her over to quick care this afternoon as she had a bad episode with her ear last night. Sure enough an inner ear infection. Glad she will feel better from that soon.

Tim and Isaac leave first thing in the morning for Colorado and since school is out I imagine Michael will be over all day especially as they can't hang out all weekend.

Me...I should feel well enough to get to that "must do" paid work. It isn't much, but I need energy and a brain! LOL I did email the clients that were waiting on me so they would know what was going on and that I wasn't just ignoring them.

Dorothy~Thinking of you getting things done in the yard/garden as the weather changes. We have a definite change to fall by the look of yards today....lots of leaves dropped overnight.

My day has been spent assisting Maegann get through the backlog of school assignments as she has not been in classes for about 5 days now. Luckily there isn’t a ton of work, but this history essay is definitely the anxiety spot for her. She’s working on it now.

I do have some paid work that has to be done and hopefully once the history is finished I can shift to that for a bit. I believe the only other thing is Algebra 2 and that’s her dad’s area.

Dorothy~So sweet that Michael is missing his mom. Sorry about the cat issue.

Kohl~Banana cake? Recipe please! Enjoy the square dancing. Sounds fun!

I just blogged about my day so won't repeat it all here as it is already 10:30 pm.

Yes, the memory blocks began getting worse when she was spending time with Elijah (Mormon) and we are researching about the "blessings" they can pray onto others and see if there is something that may possibly have attached. It's just odd how this comes and goes with stress. Usually we can figure out the point of the stress though. Even Michael is trying to help figure it out. We do feel the further Maegann makes strides towards finding her faith once again that the attacks are stronger. Evil wants to keep her from God. With the upcoming mission trip....it could be this is a catalyst. Never thought I'd have to deal with so much "possession" type stuff within the family. It's scary, it's interesting and it's real.

Dorothy — Hug him extra long when you can! I haven't seen my son in person since the 4th of July.

Janet — Sounds like what Meagan needs now is a sense of balance between home and routine. When things aren't making sense home and family are best!

Making a banana cake for breakfast to use up those spotted bananas in the fruit bowl. Then it will be a day of theatre rehearsals and square dancing. Tonight it will be in the 50s so a nice night for it.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Janet - there must be a block in her somewhere causing it all. I guess the trick is figuring it all out. Hopefully you are right about the church - did not this all start when she was dating the Mormon - and of course falling and hitting her head.

I got the biggest hug from Michael last night - I thing he misses his mama.

Came home to find out the cat peed on the couch last night so now I am dealing with that - the whole house stinks - not sure what is going on with her - this happens every so often. I am thinking I will go buy some waterproof furniture covers.

Kohl~Nice that you have found a good balance with the school assignments. That's one thing with Maegann's school concerns....she can always come back to homeschool, if even part-time. That wasn't much of a break from theater!

Dorothy~Enjoy your time with Michael! We're planning to sit down as a family and map out our activities once again now that all the church stuff is filling in more fully. So thankful school, counseling and church are within 2-5 minutes from home!

So tired this morning, but am pushing through some paid work and Spark. Kept Maegann home this morning and would love to see her go back this afternoon, but she still doesn't remember the where/when about her classes. Our goal right now is for her to be able to attend the mission trip next weekend with the youth team that is going. Tim and I feel this is the piece she is missing about herself--her heart for missions and a reality check about how much she really does have at this time even with a brain injury.

Dorothy — Sounds like your cabin is hopping!

Janet — Good to hear that Meagann was able to start working on her assignments. Hope she can keep moving forward.

Last night we watched Finest Hours, a movie from 2016 starring Chris Pine. Quite good if you are a lover of true stories.

Homeschooling this year is coming along nicely. I'm finally knowing how much to plan for each subject each day for each of them according to their interests and abilities. We all are much happier with the more realistic assignments and we are getting a lot done. When they aren't stressed about the workload they actually give more especially to their projects. I also noticed that D14 is encouraging D11 in math when she gets stuck. I see another teacher emerging here. My son plans to teach engineering at the college level. He also leads a Bible study for middle school boys at his church.

Our vacation from theatre is coming to an end. Tomorrow is our last free day before the rehearsals start up again. We're hoping for a nice day free of rain so we can do some hiking/biking emoticon emoticon .

We are so happy Maegann is beginning to make friends at this church. The corn maze should be a lot of fun. This year it is Mr & Mrs Potato Head. It's Idaho after all! LOL We did keep her home from school today as she was not good in the morning. By afternoon she was getting assignments organized and working on some of them. Praying she can go back to classes tomorrow...if even for half the day.

Nice that your cabin has people coming and going!

Kohl~Sorry you are dealing with similar issues. The space assignment sounds very fun and interesting! I love Khan Academy, but I know what you mean about being at the end of the road.

Dorothy~You are making progress in the yard one step at a time!

Maegann did go to school today, but navigated it with no awareness of what or where her classes were and didn't know most teachers or students. Michael was a huge help all day making sure she got where she needed to be. He admitted this side of the memory loss is very different to participate in actively. By about 5 pm she was doing much better overall and still wanted to go to youth group so she drove her brother there in time for the $2 supper. Kaylee, the friend she is making there, is hoping she will be able to go to the corn maze event tomorrow night so they can hang out together. I hope so too. Isaac wants to go to "open gym" for the basketball players instead.

Bible study was so good this morning. I am enjoying this group of ladies that I was randomly put with for the study. I will admit I had heavy eyelids that tried to get the best of me about 11 a.m. Glad the discussion was interesting...kept me awake!

Janet - I hope the counseling helped Maegann. Hopefully she is feeling better today.

Khol - do we ever stop worrying? So far Michael is liking school - fingers crossed. Hopefully your daughter is feeling better.

Must feel good to see D14 getting ready for her next step in math.

Hopefully your found some cute jeans and tops for D11 - they do grow awkwardly Both boys and girls.

Got some grass seed down last night but I still have to prep the rest of the yard..

Dorothy — Downpour here and of course when I returned with groceries and only then.

Janet — Dealing with the same kinds of things here with D19. She had uneasiness last week and it crushed her. Now she is barely keeping up with schoolwork and has the negative self talk going. I really do hope it is just a phase.

Today I got the girls started on their schoolwork and I headed out to get some much needed groceries. When I returned home I took D22 to work before settling back in at home to work on spelling and astronomy with D11. She calculated the diameters from the given radii of the terrestrial planets, the moons of Jupiter, and our moon. At Nasa the radii are given in kilometers so she converted them into miles. Tomorrow she is finding pictures of all of those space objects and sequencing them from smallest to largest. I thought it would be a nice page for her notebook, but she has decided to make a poster instead. After school D11 accompanied me in picking up D22 from work since she wanted to make a quick trip to the library for more books from the Warriors series. After dinner my husband, D11, and I went thrifting and found her some jeans and long-sleeved shirts. She is tall but has no hips yet has a backside on her so quite tricky to find a good fit in jeans. She can no longer wear shirts made for girls but juniors seem too busty. This problem may take care of itself within the year as she evens out. I've been spending a good deal of time on Khan Academy trying to stay ahead of D14. It is probably just a matter of time and she will surpass me and be an independent math learner. She'll have the combination of FaceTime and her brother if she gets stuck.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Glad we are having cool temps, but thankful the rain is holding off for now. Hope you got the mowing done today Dorothy.

Maegann was home again today and isn't helping her brain out by being frustrated about missing the Barbershop Festival today. She does want to go to her group counseling tonight though since she is home. Maybe that will jump start her brain and motivation.

I didn't do much today other than groceries, paid work and emailing teachers.

Glad to hear that Maegann is doing better and I am sure you both made the right decision. Nice that Isaac is getting invited to go play basketball.

Meatloaf sounds yummy - it is that time of year,

Mowed at the camp yesterday as it is suppose to rain the rest of the week and it has already started - it is windy as well.

Dorothy~Sounds like fun family time!

Kohl~Definitely a nice thing for you to stay with D19 to help.

My day was quiet. Maegann was home though as she had another brain crash on Sunday afternoon. Let her sleep this morning and thankfully by mid morning the memory was back. She is still a bit foggy on some things so I know she needs sleep. Tomorrow she was to go to an all day choir event (barbershop learning and performing) but we both believe it will be too much too soon as it would be a 14-15 hour day. We agreed her other classes were more important to attend as she will only have 3 of them as it is "B" Day and choir is one of the usual classes. Also...she has homework that is now behind.

I did 4 loads of laundry and some paid work. Also made a yummy meatloaf with spaghetti squash on the side for supper.

Isaac is off playing something called "pick up basketball" over at the school. One of his basketball friends told him she could come and he was able to do that tonight. If only school was more than just basketball. LOL

Khol - that was nice f you to stay behind and help D19 - I bet she appreciated it.

Soccer was fun as ws the birthday party - love being around my grandchildren and family. Took the day off to mow at the cam as I have guests arriving. 2 more weeks and I will probably shut it down for the season.

Dorothy — Hope you had fun watching soccer and being around for the birthday.

Janet — M&M look so nice in the homecoming pictures you posted on your blog!

D19 was distressed last night with two papers and a test due on Monday. I brought her home and kept her at it all day. She completed a paper and has a sketchy first draft of the other. She went to bed and plans to get up after midnight to finish up. It's been a strange day here for the two of us. I'll be taking her back in the morning after breakfast.

The original plan was to all go to the beach today with D19's friend. The load of assignments prevented her from going and I chose to stay home with her. Well the weather was chilly but that didn't stop my husband and my three other daughters from enjoying a Great Lake day. They saw deer, found lots of shells, and even spotted some live mini clams. Friday's storm stirred the waters and unearthed these items of interest that are not found on a usual trip.

Dorothy~Glad the battery is doing the trick!

I took Isaac to breakfast this morning for some 1:1 time and then it was 1:1 time with Maegann assisting with homework and we went to lunch at Subway. Once Isaac is done working with Tim it is his turn for homework help.

Maegann is now doing some cleaning in her room and won't be long and she will be getting ready for the dance. She is SO excited. I believe I've talked Isaac into staying home instead of going to hang out with his friends and their dates. He has a new basketball game to play on his PS4 so that will probably do the trick.

Kohl~Will things be calming down after the weekend?

Dorothy~Thistle is considered a noxious weed and spreads tuberously. Appears it was left to spread for several years in the front yard. Creeping Charlie sounds like a tough battle too!

It's Homecoming weekend for Nampa High so we all headed to the football game tonight. The Chamber Choir was singing the National Anthem acapella and Maegann and Michael are both in that group. I recorded it and for the distance from the event it turned out very well. They did a great job and it was a nice arrangement to highlight different voices. The game was a blowout (38-6) but nice that NHS won. The dance is tomorrow night.

After the game we all went to Dairy Queen and now the kids are in bed and Tim and I are watching "Cheers" for a bit.

Unfortunately the battery was still not working - went to get into the van yesterday morning after the battery was on a charger all night and all it did was chug and sputter so drove the beast again. Last night hubby and I went and got a new battery - so hopefully no more problems.

The only reason I started a war on the creeping Charlie as it was creeping into my gardens - so when I started looking I realized how much was in the yard. It is for sure a menace.

Started working on the yard last night to reseed it and did not realize how much needed reseeded - I will work again tonight.

Khol - it is amazing on how the heat is hanging on - I have been wearing tank tops at night after work. That is suppose to all change this weekend - the weather is suppose to cool down,

Sounds like the girls are all busy and happy.

Janet - I could have curled up and taken a nap yesterday. I have been meditating at noon so I do get to close my eyes.

I think the war on weeds is ridiculous and I am sure the birds have a lot to do with it.

Dorothy~Weeds....that's what Tim has been working on as well. Tonight he sprayed for the third time on the front yard with a different spray. Thistles just won't die!

Kohl~I enjoy jacket weather, but I don't like having to drag along a jacket. LOL I am so thankful for this bible study at church. I have missed being around "girlfriends" since Janette moved to N. Carolina.

My day consisted of a 2 hour nap that began at 9:30 a.m. followed by lunch and paid work. I did get both plans drafted though! Tonight I'm just hanging out watching "Young and Hungry" while Sparking as Maegann is working on German vocabulary charts. Isaac went to the football game (Freshman).

Dorothy — Michael has a girl...I didn't know that. I hope his coworkers are good to him and that he finds a few good friends at school.

Janet — Bible study with others sounds so nice! I do that alone or with my two youngest. You are blessed.

It's hot and humid here once again and I do find myself hoping for jacket weather! Homeschooling is happening but we've been taking frequent breaks because we are so hot. So hard to concentrate when you are sweaty. D22 gained three more hours a week at the theatre. Those hours will be in the development office. D11 was casted as the Dragon Lady in Marco Polo: The Road to Shanghi and D14 will play one of Seven Nobles (Gentlemen?) in Hot Mikado. Presently we are in vacation from theatre mode for ~two weeks. This is giving D11 a chance to play outside at night with the three new neighbor children. We all watched Short Circuit (from the 80s) last night. The main robot reminded me of Wall-e.

Have a pleasant weekend!
