Janet - they are on VRBO and Home Away.

Hope this chair works out for Tim.. Glad you had a quiet day.

Khol - sounds like a busy weekend. For you and your hubby.

Mine will be busy too - tonight and 3 times tomorrow I have to let out my daughters friends dog - they live about 20 minutes from here. I will also be working in friends garden - hopefully finishing up the mulching. I may also take er to a nursery - yikes. I have guests arriving tomorrow in the rental and leaving on Sunday so that will need to be cleaned as well as people leaving the cabin on Sunday and more arriving so that will have to be cleaned as well. Some where in there my house needs to be cleaned as well.

Dorothy — Quaint and Well Kept are a great combination!

Janet — Quiet! I guess it's a Q day! Do you get to try out the chair too?

My husband will be helping his brother load up their dad's belongings this weekend. His dad will be moving in with this son who lives three states away. My niece will be visiting our house while they load it all up.

I will be out and about a lot this weekend but we've worked it out that someone will be at home with my niece (she's 14) at all times even though we are extremely busy. She will be welcomed to come with us to theatre if she likes. Lots of chauffeuring and waiting!

Saturday

Tim's chair arrived today. LOL Maegann put it together so we'll see how it works for him.

I'll see if I can hunt your BnB's down.

My day has been quiet. Shopping at the thrift store with Maegann (school tops), finishing client budget reviews and now shredding a stack of paper. Watching a movie (Raising the Bar) while Sparking.

Janet - goodness - hopefully Tim gets comfortable soon - lol!

Glad your counseling session went well - pill and all emoticon

The cabin is Frewsburg, NY - Quaint cabin and the house is Warren, PA - quaint house.

I did take off half a day and mowed at the cabin - looked nice when I left but I sure am pooped. People coming today - got my dates mixed up and people coming to the rental on Saturday.

Dorothy~Glad you were able to work in the gardens again. Even the town and street would help on a BnB search.

My day was laundry and paid work. Mainly budget reviews which get boring and I don't hurry through them either. We also had a family counseling session tonight and it went well other than Isaac being a pill off and on.

Oh....sofa saga continues! LOL Tim still isn't comfy enough to sleep and since his office chair is falling apart he ordered a new recliner office chair. I just have to laugh.... I like the new furniture as my knees don't strain to stand as it isn't as low to the ground.

Janet - I will have to figure out but sure - I will.

Glad the meetings and the massage went well,.

Hard to believe that school is starting up soon,. Summer goes by way to fast.

My golf partner is out of town so I came home and putsied in my gardens last night - they needed a bit of attention. Today I have people coming to the cabin and I need to mow - am thinking of taking a half a day.

I think we both lost our posts yesterday! LOL

Sorry for the negative review. I would love to just look at your BnB listings. Would you share the links?

Yesterday the meetings went great. Today the massage and client meeting were positive as well. Therapist spent the entire 90 minutes getting my shoulders loosened. They were extremely tight.

Tomorrow will be an at home day with laundry and ???? Things are starting to quiet down before school starts next week.

I went and cleaned the cabin yesterday after work. The couple that were there over the weekend were delightful. Yesterday I got a bad review from the people that were there for a week - so hard not to lash out - again I have to learn no to take everything so personal. So I am trying to figure out how to reply nicely - Kind of makes me wonder if this lady does this often hoping people will give her refunds. The funny thing is that everything around here would have gone for double the price - not sure what she was expecting for the price,

Just realized my post did not post yesterday - so very frustrating. Where do they go??

Hope all went well for you at the school and at the counselling sessions,.

Hopefully you will find the perfect fit in a church soon.

Sunday I worked on my friends gardens, cleaned our rental across the street and washed and dried my sheets and clothes our side - I do love fresh hung out clothes. Don't get to do it as often as I like because I go to work so early and am always in a rush.

Today suppose to golf - but it is suppose to rain all day - we do need it so.

Dorothy~We've had 108 ourselves for several days, but without the high humidity. Glad you had time away and fun picking berries! I had a lot of paid work to catch up on after a crazy week that kept me from staying on top of it so I wasn't here much myself.

Isaac did very well at the basketball camp. Turns out he was the only Freshman and there were only 2-3 Sophmores. The coach said 80% of the time he was able to keep up with the older boys very well, but held him out of some activities for safety and/or "need to learn" by watching.

This morning we tried another church and we all liked it very much even though it is large. Three services! But it was nice being in a place that felt "healthy" instead of stagnant. We are going to stay for the "new to the church" lunch/meeting next Sunday to talk with some of the leaders and find out more.

Tomorrow morning Isaac and I have the first Special Ed meeting at the high school and we'll finalize his class schedule and talk about accommodations. Maegann has counseling at 1;15 and then Isaac has a follow-up with the developmental specialist at 3:45. My day is pretty well planned! May get up early so I can work on one more plan draft so I don't have to think about paid work the rest of the day.

Good morning Janet - sorry I did not make it here yesterday - I headed out early to Erie - daughter Rebecca and I went to Sams before the crowds. Then made a few stops in Lakewood - a nursery of course - 40% off of plants and then to Aldis. Then off to the cabin to clean. Afterwards headed home to cook - hahaha While at the cabin mom came up to pick blueberries - they are slim pickin this year as since it has been so dry the turkeys have been after them.

So happy to hear that Isaac is happy to be at basket ball camp - it must truly be his thing.
109 - ugh - it has been so humid here this summer.

Glad you found time to work in the gardens again Dorothy.

I had hoped to get the "must do" paid work finished but between the same client who accused her mom of fraud a week ago and the internet being off intermittently, not much got done.

Took Isaac to the university for his two-day basketball camp. Goodness I felt short in that group of guys! LOL He'll be in his element.... many tall, black basketball players. He wanted to stay the night and I think that is a huge step for him as he didn't even know if he would find anyone he knew there.

I am so tired tonight and I am sure a lot of it is just the heat. (109 today) Tomorrow I need to do laundry, meal plan/prep and and clean the bathroom. Then I can do some paid work.

It was Touchstone Crystal - it is beautiful jewelry but I really do not wear a lot anymore - i did get some bracelets.

Glad you were able to get more of your paid work done and hope the kids had fun at the water park.

Don't miss having to go the the school although I have been a couple of times with Michael for his technical school. We will have to start working soon on getting him moved.

I stayed home last night and puttered in my gardens - I love to do that.

Dorothy~What type of jewelry party?

Yesterday was another "get paid work done" type of day and then mid afternoon it was getting the kids off for their water park event with the youth at church and then going to the class on IEP's for the evening. Finally got home about 9:45pm and was exhausted.

This morning I got a couple small work items done and then it was off to school registration. Should have been about 30-45 minutes, but since Isaac wasn't in the system yet we had to go the the new student area and spent about 45 minutes or more waiting to see the registrar--who I had just spent time with on Monday--to get her initials on a piece of paper as she needed nothing from us. We then got Maegann's class schedule changed so she can take a drafting and design course instead of a science class. We spent two hours at the school (zoo). Afterwards we headed to Dairy Queen for lunch and ice cream. We all deserved it. Now we are just hanging out watching Princess Diaries 2.

Glad you got the rental ready for the next group!

My day was mostly spent on paid work. Finally had a quiet day with very few interruptions so I got 3-4 plans out for client review and signatures. Only 5 more to go, but actually I only have the documents for two of those.

I cleaned the rental across the street last night - more people coming this weekend. It sure was a hot night for cleaning but it is done - hooray. Tonight golf if it is not storming. It will be ok with me if it storms - we need rain and the humidity is killing me - I am sitting her sweating already.

That is one thing I appreciate in Idaho....low humidity!

Today wasn’t overly exciting. Doctor appointment and paid work. I’ve got a bunch of plans due again and I keep getting sidetracked with Quality Assurance inquiries.

Hot hot hot - it was so humid yesterday and still is. The sweat just poured off of me while working on my friends gardens yesterday. After 4 hours I called it quits - I was drenched. Went to a picnic last night with a group of women that I go to a once a Sunday monthly meeting with - it was nice,

Now its off to work I go,

Hopefully things work out at the church.Oh how I love quiet time - good luck at the school today.

Sorry about the bee sting. Have fun working in the garden today!

Church went fine this morning. Our main "issue" was the volume. I plan to email or call and ask if that is their usual level. We could tell there is substance there, but if we all have to wear ear plugs...not sure it is the right fit.

This afternoon the family went on a bike ride and I asked to stay home in the quiet. It was such a long week. I got Ellsworth's dog bed cleaned and blankets washed and watched a couple Bible study videos from StudyGateway. Now it is Sparking and "Grey's Anatomy".

Tomorrow morning I take Isaac over to the high school to finish up his registration. Here we go!

Janet - luckily hubby mowed down here so I only had to mow up there. I hope all goes well at the church.

Cabin is cleaned and renters are in both places. The ones across the street are staying one extra night and will be leaving tomorrow.

Was putting in some plants I bought at the farmers market and a bee decided to sting me - not sure what I did to piss him off.

Today I will probably go mulch the ladys garden I have been working on - get it done.

Dorothy~As much as we want the summer weather some of the chores such as mowing can become tedious. LOL

Today was constant. Groceries, a little paid work, helping Maegann with some things, game night... It's all good.

Tomorrow morning we are attending Grace Bible. We've all agreed on this one and it isn't far from home which is nice. Means there might be fellow students attending and that would be very nice. We'll see...

Janet - I am sure you are making the right decision and will find the right fit for you.

Simplifying - I would love to simplify.

Busy night after work last night - went to the grocery store and then made a stop at Central Tractor to get my neighbor whose father died a wind chime and then to the viewing, Came home and watered the plants and did the dishes. Today need to clean the cabin and mow up there - if I have any energy left after I get home I will mow the rental across the street.

Kohl~Great reminder! I need to stop at the produce market for fresh peaches!

Dorothy~Nice that you are going to the funeral home in honor of your neighbors father.

Got paid work done this morning...much calmer without a full on emergency. About 1 Maegann and I left to do some window shopping and to buy containers for her to use. Major cleaning out and organizing going on in her room tonight. Simplifying! Then we went to get her hair cut. So cute and yes, so different being so short!

Family decision made too...we are going to try other churches. We've talked about it for quite some time, but now is the time. Everyone is free from responsibilities at the current place. We love Pastor Steve, but it isn't about him in the long run. It's about the kids' personal faith--however that looks in the end.

Too bad Maegann can not just relax and enjoy the moment. She has to figure it all out.

I am sure everyone mad the right decision except for Michael's dad - what can you do??

Glad you all like the new furniture.

Khol - oh boy - the amount of food we go through when the family is home!! I bet you are enjoying it though and your garden as well.Dishes and laundry are never ending at my house.

I have to go to the funeral home after work - the neighbors father died.

Janet — I believe we will both have a sort it out kind of day. Hoping you and Meagan can talk. I need to sort emails so that I can end my old account. We keep paying for the account every month because I keep putting it off. My motivation is wanting that money for fresh produce this month instead. Thinking of watermelon emoticon and peaches emoticon which are on sale.

My husband has been running D19 to her movie sites and D21 to her work. He has the phone so he can find all the sites she has go to more easily than I. Guessing it's not so bad not having a smart phone in this instance.

It's looking like a theatre and church easy weekend. Take care!

Kohl~Yep…a mother’s work is never done! Sounds like a good day though. What all did you put in your hamburger/veggie dish?

Well… Maegann and Michael are home. The camp director made the decision after meeting with all the staff involved and called me at 8:30 this morning with the news. I changed clothes and headed out for the apx. 2 hour drive to Cascade. The director then had Michael phone his dad to get permission to leave early and for me to bring him home. He paid for that decision tonight with his dad. Can’t believe how mad his dad gets about some things. I did get Maegann in with Shane at 4 as he had a cancellation, but tonight she has dropped quite a bit. Trying to get her through the night and to have a good night’s sleep and see if things look better in the morning. I think they will. Rough few days for her so I’m not surprised she crashed emotionally tonight.

The new furniture arrived about 5. Maegann seems to like it better too. I think the little higher back combined with the stationary cushions have made all the difference for Tim. I’m totally okay with it since the price didn’t change.

Tomorrow I will finish laundry, some paid work, meal plan and take Maegann for a haircut in the afternoon. Boys will be off working together on a paid project. My guess is Michael will be “grounded” for a couple of days so he won't be around.

It seems I am always making meals and washing dishes while everyone else is relaxing and having fun. Anyone else feel that way? Everyone here has responsibilities that they meet but it seems no going beyond that unless poked and prodded. I guess it's a glum case of s mother's work is never done!

Really I've had a fine day. I made garden stones with D14 at the park, made kale crisps for lunch, ordered homeschool books, made a hamburger vegetable skillet for dinner, and took a quick walk with D19 before dark. I'm working on balancing our checkbook and so far so good. Everyone else(except D19 who is preparing for a piano audition) is watching an episode of Flash. I would be with them all but tradition for movie watching here is that the lights stay dim.

Hello...I watched the remake and never saw the original!

I'm finding that food is consumed at a much faster pace with the older girls being here. There are never any leftovers and someone is always washing/drying dishes. Funny that I don't remember this, isn't it? The community garden is still growing strong. That certainly helped with dinner and will provide a side for lunch tomorrow.

My day got derailed about 12:30 when I got a call from an adult client. She has accused her mom and step-dad of fraud with their service billing. Oh, boy! Thankfully all was clean with her budget reviews on my end and no red flags to indicate trouble. We'll see what happens.

Also had texts from Michael this afternoon stating that things were not much better for Maegann today. I finally got Michael and/or Sue to get her to the nurse and she phoned me to talk. She is supposed to have the counselor Maegann's with call me to talk about it all for a different perspective, but I haven't heard from him/her yet and it's been several hours. Hopefully the ibuprofen I asked the nurse to give her helped and things are better. I could go get her, but we are seeing a trend with her cutting being an escape "tool". I wish she would become an advocate for herself and say "this is what I need right now" instead of just going to "I hate this" mode. Sigh.

Otherwise....not much else got done. I did make tacos for supper and now I've turned a Disney movie on called "Miracle" about a USA Olympic hockey team. It's pretty slow so far and we're giving it 10 more minutes before switching.

Janet - prayers going out for Maegann - she is sure having a tough time of it all.

Nice that you are allowed to exchange the furniture.

I think I saw the original Journey to the Center of the Earth but not the remake.

Was able to golf last night -it tried to rain but that did not happen - but my game was awful - trying to process everything the pro told me.

Michael and I are heading to the Dermatologist this morning.

Well...here's what our furniture looks like tonight.

Keeping the fabric clean for an exchange on Thursday afternoon. Bagged up the extra pillows too. The store owner was very gracious and allowed us to exchange for a fee of $100. This is for another delivery and restocking. I took Tim down to try out other sofa sets and the one he really found comfortable is by the same company and is the same price. Whew! The main difference is the back will not be "just pillows" but instead attached ones. I like that they have a zipper at the bottom so you can fluff them up when they get worn down. It's a lighter brown color, but will still go nicely with the table set. I can't believe I forgot to take a photo! I will say this...if the sales person had shown me this set I would have bought it instead so all is good and happiness has been restored.

Watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth" -- the one from 2008. I like this version much better.

Hope you are able to golf tonight Dorothy.

Had another text late last night that I didn't see until this morning. This one was from Michael stating Maegann was having her suicidal/self harming thoughts. I sent him an encouraging text and then texted Sue (pastor's wife) and asked her to check on Maegann. Heard right back that she'd had a meltdown last night, but Sue got her through it fairly quickly. No further communication so far today. Thankful.

Got a lot of paid work done today and will be able to tackle more tomorrow while Isaac is out of the house.

Furniture...I have a call in for the owners of the store to see about an exchange. Haven't heard back yet, but the gal I spoke with said that sometimes it is possible. If not, I'll find a recliner for Tim as the rest of us are doing just fine with the new stuff.

Tim is doing much better today and I'm so glad. Helped that he has another job lined up (a lady ran into the brick wall attached to the garage and he is to fix the wall, get the door working again and lay brick) as it shows what I've been saying... God will provide.

Janet I am with you - I am sure she will have a marvelous time.

High school reunions - ugh - why do they have them - so tortuous. I hope he starts thinking positive instead of negative.

Isaac - to cute - he loves having you all to himself.

I got the cabin cleaned and tonight is golf weather permitting.

Dorothy~Glad your friend's hubby pitched in and helped with the roses.

I love knowing the VBS is being shared with kids in Moldova! Don (the dad) works for the U.S. Embassy and they are currently stationed in Moldova (between the Ukraine and Romania.

Got Maegann and Michael off for church camp. Had one text from Maegann stating she thought she made a mistake going. I'm sure she will change her mind once there and they start getting busy and having fun. Praying for those two.

After they were gone Isaac and I went for our "fun lunch" and then I got some paid work finished. Could do more, but Isaac really wanted me to be on the sofa with him "watching" Scooby Doo. Yep...I'm sparking. LOL

Tim is a mess and I don't think it is just about the new furniture. I think it is also from his time at the high school reunion and learning what others were doing and how they are better set financially. He came home for lunch and was severely depressed. I am working hard to not make this my "mess".

Tonight I'll bbq hamburgers and have salad with them. Light and easy on a very hot day.

Janet - now that is cool that it is going back to Russia.

Oh how I use to love church camp. I should ride out there some day just to walk around.

t was beautiful here as well and I was outside all day. I went to my friends house and worked on her gardens for 6 hours - tired when I got home. She had roses that were smothering out everything else so I was digging them out and her hubby came out to help. We got most of them out - hopefully her hubby can finish it. I left the roses that were lining the back of the garden like a hedge - just the ones that were in the middle - crazy root system.

Tonight I have to head to the cabin after work to clean.

Glad your weather is cooler Dorothy. The west is still burning up--temperature and wildfires!

VBS presentation in worship went well and we were blessed by another family staying to help us finish the tear down and trips to the storage area. I packaged up all the leftover curriculum and items for this same family to take back to Russia with them so they could host a VBS.

Tomorrow is sending Maegann and Michael to church camp. Will get them to the building for their ride about 12:30. They are nervous and excited.

Janet - it is amazing the stuff that grows that you do not want to grow.

Sounds like a good day. Hopefully someone will step up and take over the job.

I had a busy day around here yesterday - I stripped my bed down to the mattress and washed everything. Vacuumed the mattress and my room. Ran the sweeper up stairs and shampooed those rugs. Ran the sweeper down stairs and dusted. And did other laundry. Plus I worked in my garden and the rental garden. Funny thing is if I look around it does not look like I really cleaned - I guess I better start on decluttering again.

Today I am headed to my friends to work in her gardens - I have not been out there for several weeks so I am sure there is lots to do - so glad the weather has cooled off.

Dorothy~We are still fighting all the thistle out in the front lawn that was there when we bought the place. A battle getting rid of tough weeds!

Today is slug day around here. Isaac got up and mowed first thing and then we all headed out for errands. Picked up the "cooling" support pillows from the mattress place, stopped at church to put the pile of VBS stuff away that we'd taken down last night and then came home. Just watching movies and resting. Maleficent is actually pretty good. Netflix disc. We are just going to order pizza and do a lot of nothing!

Yes, I am done as the church VBS Director. If we are still attending there next summer I will be willing to volunteer to help out. I will be getting things together to hand over to the office to make the job easier for whomever steps up...if they do!

Khol - your family doe keep you hopping - enjoy your time with D19. Good luck shopping!

Janet - sounds like a pleasant day - hope all goes well tonight on your last night of VBS.

I took a half a day to get the mowing done at the cabin - don't have to worry about that for another week - and then a pedi and haircut - perfect way to end the day.

Good you got home when you did Dorothy! Glad both boys were okay in the end.

Kohl~I hope you find the bargains next week! We were successful today.

Maegann's doctor appointment went fine and will know in a couple of days if the infection is gone. Afterwards went home and gathered up Isaac and Michael and took off for Ross to shop. Found some good deals on athletic shorts/pants for Isaac, a jacket for Michael (he needed one for camp next week) and Maegann found a couple of dresses. One for Homecoming and the other for Prom. I'll put pictures in my blog. Two more hours and we're off to VBS night 4!

Dorothy — Sounds like the guys in your house each had a very frustrating experience. I'm sure your husband was happy you came.

Janet — Thift stores are where it's at until they stop growing which takes much longer with the guys. We are hoping everything is not picked over next Tuesday (last Tuesday of the month is 1/2 price day) and that we find some treasures. D11 is the same size as D14 now so we are not able to pass as much down now as in the past. The only difference is D14 has more hips at this point.

This morning we are tidying up the main floor before heading to the community garden to harvest. An organization is judging gardens around town this week and it is our turn this morning at 11:00a.m. After that we have homeschooling friends coming over to spend a few hours with us. Tomorrow is the trip to pick up D19 for a month long summer break. My family keeps me hopping emoticon emoticon .

Janet - did not realize the kids were still in school. Hope she can find the perfect dress.

The holistic healer gave me 2 different recipes to try - one for a paste to add to coffee and one for salted water. Also 2 books to read and she wants me take probiotics. Of course there was a lot more and it was all very interesting.
I cleaned the cabin last night -guests left it in good shape. When I got home I heard my husband calling to me - he was on the roof and his ladder had kicked out from beneath him. I was lucky I got home when I did - I had to climb to the porch roof and hold his ladder for him.

My son got pulled over yesterday - they asked him to step out of car and searched it and gave him a breathalyzer - of course there was nothing - geesh!

So a very weird day yesterday!

Today hair cut after work and pedicure - yea!

Dorothy~You will have to share what you are learning from the holistic health provider. Sounds interesting.

VBS is going very well. Still lower numbers this year, but the kids are having a blast and that’s what matters. Two more nights to go!

Tomorrow Tim is heading to Colorado for his class reunion weekend. Maegann has a doctor appointment and then we will get Isaac and head to Ross so Maegann can look for a Homecoming dress before everyone picks over them in the next month or so. She and Michael have been practicing proper slow dancing. Isaac needs to find some new shorts and long pants for school as his are getting a bit too tight. Thrift store is right across the street so we can get it all finished easily.

Khol - I must admit - I hate garage sales - so much work. And what doesn't sale you need to figure out what to do with, I hope yours goes well. We had nice weather Friday and Saturday - it is raining now - we need it so bad.

I do love musicals - one of my favorites.

Janet - I love watching the older movies - but do not do it often.,

I need to get new mattresses at some point - hate spending the money.

I had a wonderful 3 days away - we walked every morning and I with with her everyday for radiation. We went to a festival on day - had cocktails at the creek one day, and saw some old friends. We also went and saw the movie Book Club - it was delightful. Took a detour yesterday on my way home to go get a birthday present for my grandson,. Mom and I will head to Buffalo about 10. Oh - and my golf lesson was awesome.

Michael is the only one who doesn't care for musicals, but he is learning that we all enjoy them and he is fine watching them with us. That will definitely be a different type of break for your daughter, but it sounds exciting too.

Bought mattresses this morning for both kids. Found an outlet and got two queen sets, sheets and frames for the price of one quality mattress at most other places in town. I am sure they will be sleeping much better as their twins were about 18 years old! Oops! Tim and I need to do the same too, but that will have to be another time. $1100 was enough for one day! Glad that project is done. Exhausting. We began looking and saving as we knew this would be helpful for Maegann's migraines and scoliosis (mild) back pain. Isaac is just thrilled his feet don't hang off the end of the bed! LOL

Tonight was game night and we started with Pit and switched to Aggravation after Maegann's head started hurting from the thinking required. It was a fun evening and was nice that Michael could join us again.

Tomorrow will be church and hopefully a restful afternoon as VBS is right around the corner. Decorating begins at 10 a.m. for the kids and me on Monday!

Musicals are not my husband's favorites but we watch them occasionally. Funny that he doesn't mind watching the girls' plays which are all musicals. Shows he's a great dad!

It's raining here! The girls have a morning read through theatre rehearsal then we are heading east to the lake to spend the day at the beach. It's not supposed to rain there. After that we will spend the night at my FIL's house and visit with him all day Sunday.

One more week until D19 is here for her summer break. She won't have much of a break as she is already doing concept art in the evenings when she is done for the day with her other job for a independent movie being filmed in our town. She meets the cinematographer the first Monday she is here as she is the set production designer. This should prove to be an interesting break for her.

My favorite is Star Trek: Enterprise.

I ended up not picking up tables from my mom's and visiting with her. So far it looks like rain Friday night and All day Saturday. We are waiting until tomorrow's updated forecast before deciding if we will even set up for the sale on Friday night.

We also watched Inkheart tonight to take a break from the monotony of pricing.

Dorothy~So nice that the temps dropped a bit to make the golfing even nicer.

Kohl~Sounds like enough for one day to me! I think my favorite of the Star Trek series is The Next Generation.

Today was fairly uneventful. Doctor appointment, some paid work and then just some little pre-school tasks to make things smoother for getting Isaac's IEP in place.
