Dorothy~How is the hubby feeling? Enjoy the golf tonight. You deserve the break!

Christina~Enjoy that last day of summer break! The only time I saw Phantom in the theater was in Los Angeles. Amazing!

Heather~How did the first day of school go for the kids?

Kelly~Glad you got a thumbs up from Chaz on school. Even if it was purely social at least he is going in with a positive thought about it all.

I've been a bit "off spark" during the day as we've had so many things going on and I've had to spend computer time working on the homeschool group classes. The emails finally went out last night so now I'm just collecting names. A relief. I do need to spend time working on our own homeschool stuff too although we aren't starting until after Labor Day weekend. No reason too as we're going camping next week for a few days and headingto Colorado over Labor Day weekend. Want to plan a day at the zoo also once all the kids are back in public school. Just enjoy it more.

Started the day driving about 70 miles round trip to butcher a duck and a turkey. The turkey was lame so we didn't want to lose it. Only around 8 lb. so will roast and freeze the meat for casseroles. Same with the duck...just trying to thin them out and since we were going anyway.

Getting ready to head to my friends place for our monthly lunch/playdate. Always fun.

I totally forgot to fill you in on our Vegas adventures for today. Sorry about that! We're heading to the "Las Vegas Mob Experience!" www.lvme.com/main.php?s= Tonight let's just hang out at the pool and enjoy some conversation.

Christina - I am the same way when I take benedryl - I feel hung over - I try to limit it to one pill at a time instead of 2. I can not think straight under the influence of it. Glad the itching is better.

Kelly - welcome to back to school world. Micahel's school is having an open house on friday and of course I ahve to take Micke back to Pitsburgh that day to get his stiches out. I made arrangements for him to go with some other people. I talked to the secretary today and she said I could come over another day as well and go through it with Micahel. Have got most of his supplies bought now to get some clothes bought and shoes and a back pack.

Golfing again tonight. Poor hubby - I feel like I am neglecting him. Working tomorrow and Thuirsday night.

Have a great day all.

Good morning friends!
I was in a benadryl coma last night! I remeber waking up itchy at 2:30 last night and taking another pink pill....then Gary came in this am at8:30 and laughing because I was still in bed. I rolled over and told him i felt like I had a hang over! The itching is better today so far. I have never had anything like this before!!!

Kelly I hope the Dr appt goes well. It is hard to find one you are comfortable and have confidence in, Hoping this is the right one!

Bloom what's going on with you? I enjoyed the pics of your kids at the zoo! Can't believe we were there on the same day.

Gotta get a bit of house work done then maybe some time at the pool.

It's time for Phantom of the Opera!!! I love this musical! It is one of my favs too Janet.
The first time I saw it was at the old Taft theater in Cincinnati. It was breath taking! the ceilings are high and steep there. I have seen in it twice at the Aronoff but it never compaired to the atmosphere of the old Taft.

Wow, this will be the 1st time I can "relate" with school stuff. Orientation went well. Chaz gave thumbs up-"Awesome!" So far so good. Of course he spent most of his time running around the perimeter of the social room, making noises like a backho. The other kids were sitting together eating a snack. Then I was looking around for him and he was laying on the stage propping his head up. He was worn out, but he wants to keep going--I'm trying not to be scared. Just keep praying it's something simple--like vitamins, or maybe try those sidekick nutrient shakes. It's weird--I don't want a bad diagnosis but also am tired of hearing "we don't knows,,or might be viral". As a mom, I just know somethings aren't adding up. I want him to feel energetic and I think his attention span/focus/behavior will improve. Reminds me of sleep deprivation. Not sure about the pooping every 5 days thing??? That would make me feel crappy--Oh so Punny!! haha
Doro--Yippy to get those clubs swingin' today! I'm glad hubby is feeling better and you were able to get a break away. Does he need someone there with him?
Tomorrow is a year since my FIL died, and yes Elvis's birthday! Hard to believe it's been a year, but then again seems like a long time since I saw him. Not sure Tim even realizes it. He's been so grumpy, I'm not about to open that festuring pool...hoping he goes to bed soon. Speaking of which, maybe I should get my act together and get my kids to bed earlier. They do nothing on there own, URG.

Worked a cvouple of hours this morning and then golfed the rest of the day. Was in a scrampbe and had a good day. Got sprinkled on a couple of times. It was weird weather - one minute it was sunny and hot and then it would cool down, Hubby is doing much better - been walking up and down the street.

Christina - glad you made it home safely.

Kelly - hope you enjoyed curves. I am glad you are enjoying the quick fire!!

Janet - glad you are wrapping up ypour home schooling work.

I'm here. Mowed first thing and then spent 30min on the homeschool classes before lunch. Played with Play-Doh for awhile with the kids and now we are at the orthodontist for M's check. Planning a quick nap once home and then we will bbq for dinner. Will use my quiet time tonight to get the homeschool classes emailed out so we can get our final sign-up done. Almost through the worst of it.

Christina --Sorry about all the bug bites. We are heading camping on Sunday afternoon.

This time of year, peach cobbler is like air. I'm only tempted by the burnt crusty stuff stuck to the edge of the pan. I'm into the peach thing--Praise God it worked to make Chaz poop! I did manage to get him into new Dr. tomorrow. Somehow the office manager called and offered me the appt without getting the records--they are lost in "fax space". Odd That is just sad for the foster kids. We had contracts to see them. Unfortunately, the "system" abusers ruin it. We ended up losing our contracts because of no'shows, and poor parent compliance, Kids are the ones who suffer. Now we have a dental clinic nearby, but bad on my end because they will not see anyone who is NOT on access. So families without insurance still have to pay full price. Seems too hard to get on access if you aren't a foster kid or multi generation reliefer. The whole thing is messed up. Some kids need extensive care and don't get any. Makes me too sad.
Off to Curves, Tim's work truck just rolled by---outa here! I don't wait for the dust to settle!

Kelly how can you concentrate on anything with peach cobbler in the house!?! YUMMY! No Not yummy ...yes yummy see Now all i can think about is cobbler!

Dr appt are a struggle! The worst for me was when we were fostering and no dentist would take new patients with state medical cards. I was furious! Like it was the kids falt they ended up in fostercare and had state ins! Good luck

Good morning. I'm dreary today. Soggy and chilly out--too odd. I'm still in PJ's and have not done a thing! Well, made peach cobbler and oatmeal with peaches for breakfast and drank a cup of tea while journaling and trying to get Chaz a Dr appt with a new Dr. It's like trying to get through the secret service wearing terrorist supporter t-shirt. I'm so annoyed with poor service.

I am drooling thinking about that candied bacon of Emerils! Looking forward to dinner at table 10!!!

My ankles and upper leggs are covered in dhigger bites! I am taking benadryl pills. I coveredmy ankles in nail polish last night even though everything I read online said it doesnt work. I am a bit drowsy from the benadryl but it is helping the maddening itching! In all pour adventures I have never had this many bug bites! ( and we have MANY adventures LOL)
We are home safe and sound! Gary and I both laughed and said one more memory for us to share with the next generation! emoticon

We have 2 days left of no school. I am going to miss the boys during the day!!!

Heather I am thinking of you today on you first day back to school.

Dorothy How long is the recovery time for hubby? Can he move around yet?

Oh my Christina. Praying you make it home. Praise God Gary is crafty with those tools! I get freaked out over roadside repairs. Good thing your 40 days had prepared you for "trying times". See how awesome is that. You were able to see all the "blessings" instead of just the inconviences! You amaze me!! God in you makes you so beautiful!
Confession: I ate the Hosses buffet and quite frankly don't want to exert the energy to track. Didn't overindulge and I practice "safe buffeting"--sit in the farthest corner from buffet, only take one thing per trip, and avoid the fats--drink lots of water, too. With kids along I bet I could in my 10,000 steps! LOL Makes Tim nuts because it takes us too long to eat. No other exercise today- YIKES, even forgot my quickfires---LOVE THOSE, thanks Doro for pointing me that way!---off to get my 40 lashes from the Spark police.

Hi everyone!! So good to see you all!! Just coming in from an evening ride. What fun that was, galloping across the open fields, smelling the wildflowers while the sun disappeared into that mural of colors,,,,ahhhh. I'll see ya all in the lounge after tending these saddle sores.
No man stuff today-rained. Mom had the kids, went to our "new" church, ate at Hoss and took an afternoon nap. All evening trying to rent RIO--55 mins on phone with Dish Network and NO movie...evidentally the last 3 years we've tried to get VOD wasn't enough, they need 48 more hrs to fix it. We pay extra $6/month for "extra" features (VOD included in those) and it doesn't work, so I'm asking for reimbursement. Sometimes I struggle with being a good witness, yet not being a doormat consumer. Tricky balance. I was nice, but firm in my request--see how the account specialist handles things tomorrow, ARG!! Hate dealing with stuff like that. You girls are soooo much more FUN!!
Heather-HUGS on them 'sceeter bites--funny how I wouldn't thought you had them in Germany. I put baking soda paste on the bites, but by the eyes--Hmmm?? I have a tube of gel stuff in fridge that Liv likes on all her "buug biiiitz". even the imaginary ones. I cannot imagine no screens!
Doro--Glad you got hubby home! Wow isn't it amazing what all can happen in a few days time. Is he a good patient?
Christie I bet hearing that heartbeat is awesome!
Christina I love trout fishing, well more like flying bugs my uncle called it. I hate to actually catch anything, so I use barbless hooks and the wrong flies. We have pristine limestone streams that are designated "catch and release" so I always hope to avoid both. Tim is more the wiz/click fisherman to see how many he can get (mostly river or lake). He deals with them and Chaz loves "fish meat". Going out for bait and keeping it in the cellar fridge seems to be a father/son bonding thing. Gross. Need to make sure Liv don't eat them!
Off to track...

Hi Girls!

Dorothy Glad your home!!

Heather I HATE mosquitoes! I got ate up with something while camping this weekend. I am thinking chiggers. too many bites to be mosquitoes. I can't imagine not having screens in the windows. Bugs are terrible where we live on the farm.

We had a big adventure trying to get home today. The truck started shaking so gary pulled over and noticed one of the back tires had a bulge so he changed it out with the spare. a few miles down the road It sounded like a shotgun went off. The tire on the other side blew! Our friends we were camping with were only about 20 mins behind us so they stopped at the walmart and bought us a tire.To make a very long story short, Gary ended up breaking down and putting 2 new tires on the rims with only a claw hammer and a screw driver. We are still about 2 hours away from home. LONG day.

They didn't catch any fish at the trout stream. Gary cleans the fish. Not touching it! I have cooked it before but it sticks up the house!

Yes...hoping for a girl.

I have been doing my pregnancy exercises but they don't burn calories, just makes me feel better. I am having trouble fitting into my old clothes....only maternity pants fit and some of them are tight across the belly. I am sleeping well but it takes two tries to turn over. Wish I could sleep on my back...but no go! I tried to do a simple stretch while lying on my belly...but not all the way down and could not do it since I literally felt my uterus and it was weird!

Tomorrow is my doctor's appointment. I can't wait to hear baby's heartbeat. It will make me feel better. My last appointment was on July 12th. It was a long time not to hear baby.

I am looking at walking workouts to have to use after baby is born and I get the medical go-ahead. I plan on working my way to skinny for next summer! emoticon emoticon

Janet - glad you had a good day. I love playing in a pool. We had a few fun trips to the indoor pool in OK. Dh was playing that game where you try to hammer hard enough that the bell rings at Incredible Pizza. The hammer bounced up and pulled his thumb. He went to the dr. on Friday here in Germany. Nothing is broken thank goodness but it is still swollen and painful. They gave him a rub in cream with ibuprofen in it.

Christina - So if anything gets caught at the trout stream who cooks the fish? emoticon

Kelly - I also love being a part of what's getting done instead of being in the "girl" brigade.

I wonder how Dorothy and hubby are doing.

Unfortunately the night was torturous. Because of all the rain, the mosquitoes are worse than I've ever seen them. Windows here don't typically have screens. Night before last I was vacuuming mosquitoes before bed. Woke up at 2:15 with bites on my elbow and ear. So frustrated. Almost started crying thinking that there were so many hours left in the night. Joseph, our youngest, has two bites on the cheek and one on an eyelid. Tomorrow the first thing after the kids head off to school is buying supplies to make screens (stores aren't open on Sundays).

We had a relaxing Sunday afternoon after making sure everything was ready for the first day of school tomorrow.

If kelly has Bronson I want the marboro man! (ok less the cigs) THe loge looks beautiful. reminds me of the one we stayed at this time last year in GA before and after our backpacking adventure.

We are packing up today probably a bit of fishing at the trout stream before the drive home.

Kelly sounds like just what you needed yesterday. Although the pliers made me laugh!

Janet, I cannot even look when the guys are on ladders...much alone get on a roof myself. I like destruction better. I bought an old house, gutted it myself and laid a pine plank floor, rewired and had to get help with drywall, roof, windows, and kitchen. Then I finished drywall, painted and did the wood work. My Uncle has all the tools and gave me lessons-which entailed him drinking beer, smoking cigs and cussing at me---I learned quick so to get him outa there!!LOL Hmmm, thinking him being drunk must've been my downfall of not being able to pound a nail straight!! Way to go to you on getting on a roof!! I bet Tim liked having a good helper.

emoticon Janet!! Glad you were blessed with a nice time tonight.--and diving into the pool!!! You must have had a great time. So happy for you. You deserved that!

The Lodge is gorgeous. I want the cabin with NO kitchen! LOVE log cabins, and lodge pool pine furniture. So "ME". I can just see us sitting around the stone fire place in our lodge attire, laughing like school girls at a slumber party all night...no ghost stories. I need some rest for the horse ride. I LOVE riding. Make sure our "cowboys" take good care of us!! Get them to double check Heather's saddle. I'll ride behind the tall, dusty blond with eyes like Yellowstone's pools...think I'll name him Bronsen. Maybe we will see some famous country music men--Kenny, aaahhh!

Dorothy~Hope things are better for the hubby tomorrow.

Heather~I spent several weeks early spring mowing the lawn twice just to knock it down short enough that I could actually cut it the length desired. I didn’t enjoy that much at all so I feel for you today! How did the hubby sprain his thumb and wrist? Pray you all have a sound sleep tonight.

Christie~Good to hear from you. I love the photo of you and Nason that you have on your profile now. How is Nason handling the thought of a sibling? Can’t wait to hear your wonderful PINK news on Tuesday. LOL I’m still praying for you and that baby.

Christina~Good for you getting on that tube on the lake! I played in the water tonight myself. Got in that pool for over an hour and enjoyed myself thoroughly. Even dove off the diving board several times.

Well, thank you all for your prayers today. They did not show up and that’s the way it should have been given the current situation. We don’t think the host family (part of their home church) knows anything but we do think they wondered why they weren’t there. Anyway…we all had a very enjoyable time with great food and hot weather for swimming. I’m just relieved the very last thread is now cut.

Tomorrow is our last day as a family on the “no soda” thing to earn the Wii. Tim and I will get it set up tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to some options with Wii Fit although I’ll have to send the kids to their rooms or outside for exercise day so I won’t have interruptions.

Hi girls. Sounds like everyone is off to a busy weekend!!
Weird day. Kids at moms and I helped do "guy stuff". Tim and I hauled scaffolding to a friends house and helped remove/replace siding, house wrap and start porch roof. It rained off and on, but then I thought about praying for nice weather...no more rain. God is so good and I feel so small for not aways thinking to pray about EVERYTHING. The guys harassed me all day about using needlenose plyers to hold the nails...otherwise I'm too afraid of missing that i do baby taps. Hammers aren't a forte! Felt good to be a helper and not spend all day being the "girl"--cooking lunch and chasing kids. I delegated lunch to a teen and she ended up with the smoke alarm going off. OOPS! That's one way to get all the guys to come running for lunch!!
Doro. Praying hubby is well and you all can get back home soon.
Heather, I'm not a yougart eater--maybe I would like German stuff. Funny how I always mentally assosciate the words diet and yogurt. WOO HOO on mowing the forest! I loved my old fashion push mower. Tim hauled it to the junk pile one day! I was attached to it and then refused to mow with his honking big tractors-terrified of ramming into the house, or trees etc. I don't get any excerise, just stress so I let him do his man thing: drive tractor listening to sports, dreaming of hunting!
Christina. The lake sounds awesome. What a great way to get quality time!! Remember: Smores are NOT your friend!
Janet. The stress of thinking you may see someone you don't want to is yucky! Usually for me, the actual event is not as bad: hope that is the case for you too.
Christie--wouldn't that be something if you had a girl!!--with losing your precious Katie girl/finding out you were pregnant. Boys are sweet too--then you could always say, "the boys...." YEAH for a new school without the past set of trouble for you!! Maybe the kids will make the nausea subside. Prayers on that!
Lynn take a break from work and come to Vegas more. It's great you don't even have to use vacation time!!
Cyn--no more fish eating your leg, I hope! LOL
Lisa, are you visiting hubby?

emoticon We find out on Tuesday if baby is a boy or girl. I am so excited. I can' wait for baby to be here either. I do feel better but still queasy depending on what I eat. I guess I can handle four more months of this. I go back to work soon too.

How is everyone? I miss you all! emoticon

Dorothy - Good news about hubby. Hope it continues to improve so you can get on home. Hospitals are not my favorite place.

Janet - Sending prayers your way for an uneventful wonderful time.

Christina - I don't know how you could keep any of the teachers straight after meeting them in such a short time frame.

The last time I went horseback riding, I fell off as the saddle slipped to the side and got a compression fracture in one of my vertebrae. I'm game to try again as long as someone double checks the saddle for me.

The sun came out today so the lawn had to be mowed. It was so long and we only have the push mower. Hubby sprained his thumb and wrist so I got to do it. Lots of fitness minutes and calories burned. The lawn still needs more work but at least it's not calf length anymore. Backpacks are almost ready for Monday( a few more things need to be labeled with name).

Kelly - So far I'm not missing any food from America yet. I'm just glad to be back in the land of hearty bread and tasty plain yogurt.

Hoping I don't wake up in the middle of the night - having trouble still with the jet lag.

Happy Saturday all (Lynn, Lisa & Cynedra, good to see you!)

Janet - I hope all is going well with you.

Christina - hope you are having a good time.

The computer I have acess is is so slow -- makes me a little crazy. Hubby is having a hard time today - going to walk back over and check on him.

Hiking and horse back riding sound perfect!!

Today's the day! Turkey is roasting in the oven and we'll head to our friend's home about 2:30. Please say a prayer if you think about it even though I can't imagine the g-ma actually showing up.

Off to run a few errands here shortly. The day will go fast!

Hi ladies! I went MIA today just to take a computer break. I'd spent so many hours on it between the homeschool group, personal things (finances, email) and then Spark that I just felt like I needed to do this. I was right!

I did get a lot of little things done including some yummy homemade italian bread to go with the spaghetti tonight and a vanilla pudding with fresh blueberries that arrived on my doorstep today from a friend in Oregon. Put 36 cups of blueberries in the freezer! Yeah!

So is everyone enjoying the Bellagio today? Where are we meeting for dinner? Hadn't heard from anyone on that! LOL

For the weekend we are heading to Mount Charleston for hiking and horseback riding!

Cyndrea - funny you mentioned the stairs - I have been walking the 5 flights of stairs to the room I am staying in for some exercising and just walking whenever I get a chance.

Hubby is doing very well today. Hopefully tomorrow they will get hime out of bed and maybe we can get out of here - or by Sunday at the latest. So far everything seens to be going very well. Michael is a bit restless.

Christina - I am very sure you will get the snacking under control. I think Kelly hit it on the head - you are so busy during the day. Have fun camping!!

Kelly - so funny - I corrected Michael about 3 times today for petty little stuff - mostly becasue I just want him to use his head before he acts. Makes me feel like such a nag sometimes.

Janet - plans - as usual sound super. Glad someont took the time to thank you for all the hard work you put into the home schooling - I am thanking you for all the hard work you put into our little trips!!

Hi Friends!

Kelly watch out your starting to sound like you are the one taking notes while I lay on your couch! LOL Thanks for the pep Your right night snacking is a bad habit and I just have to kick it cold turkey if I want to drop the last 40 pounds.

We are in the old truck headed to the lake for the weekend. I read all the poists but now I'm getting a bit car sick so I will try to come back a bit later...

Good Morning Everyone!
Just wanted to check in and be active! I think if I can get back into spark I will have no problem getting motivated to get some of this weight back off again. My problem - I will lose 5#'s and gain 6 back......and it all goes back to that snacking! emoticon

I am going to attempt to walk at lunch - if I say it enough maybe it will happen!
Thanks for listening - I'll try to check back in a little later on! Time to work.... emoticon

Kelly~Could be your little one is stressing about starting school. Many tend to act up and in different ways when school is approaching. Hugs to you as it sounded like a really rough day for all of you!

Christina~Well...I had regular ice cream so you win the snack war tonight! Mine is totally TOM related and the stress of dealing with the homeschool schedule/fees all afternoon. Thankfully I received several emails that had no issues with the fees and another that sent a wonderful "Thank you" note. I think God knew I needed that little hug tonight as I signed off of homeschool work.

Off to watch the finale of SYTYCDance. Hoping Melanie wins!

Kelly - I had to re look at who wrote your one post to make sure it wasn't me. I couldn't remember writing it, but it sounds like me and L (and DH and L) most of this week. It can't seem to behave and/or try to do things for himself (unless he is trying to make something more difficult) all week long. Except when he is talking about his rocket mobile that he (and DH supposedly) are going to build. He loved riding the bus to school last year.

DH took the day off and we went to the beach. Both L and S were very good there. L about drove us crazy (or crazier) before we left though. Worse part about the beach trip was DH and I kept having fish nibble on our feet (and his knee). They didn't the boys at all. DH says probably because they were never still. I've had the nibble once or twice before but not like today. Weird.

Dorothy - If you happen to read this, stairs at hospitals are a great way to kill time and get a workout. Quite a few years ago (when my FIL was alive and frequently hospitalized) I spent a lot of time just going up and down the stairs. Like once every hour or two. Don't know if it will work for you, but just thought I'd suggest it just in case.

I'm exhausted and need to get to sleep.

Have a good night.

It is way past my bedtime and I

Woohoo Christina on Curves. The snacking thing will get better. It's just a habit. What if you tackle it like a challenge. Go 3 days no night snacks, get a reward (or even a snack) etc. Is there such a thing as scheduled snacking??? But that doesn't seem to be your case. Thinking yours is emotional??...so it is like the monster in the fridg. wonder if we could put alarms on our pantry/fridg so if we open them the whole house would wake up!!??? Maybe you are lonely with Gary working and boys in bed. You are a "doer", so at night if there is nothing pressing , or 15 things pressing, you feel like you need to do something, and snacking takes root. I don't know, but I love to speculate out other peoples (and mine too) problems. Keep thinking something rational will crop up and Wha-la, it's fixed! LOL

Oh, Bellagio looks fab! I can't wait to see the aquatic theater O. sounds interesting, and glad we aren't paying!!
Just got the kids to bed--LLOOONG day again. Not sure why. Feel like I'm on his butt all day long about something. I am praying it all just kicks in someday, SOON would be good. Like, coming home routine =shoes off, wash hands. Not rocket science. And today I refused to find his crocs for him. I told him to look himself and if they were in the proper place, HE would know where. He looked at me like I was the 2 headed snake creature in Spy Kids. At another point I informed him I am NOT his maid. He asked whats a maid. When I told him, I felt pretty stupid because essentially I AM the maid! He saw no difference either! The real clincher was me refusing to take him minigolfing because I declared it a privledge and he didn't earn that today. Not sure who was more stressed out over that one. I was on a role for some reason. Realizing school is upon us and he needs to grow up. He baby talks alot, so today I ignored every question he asked if it wasn't his regular voice-that prompted him yelling at me, which resulted in punishment--my head is spinning from all this: it's not new news to him. Not sure what is really going on with him. Then out of the clear blue we will have a great time discussing his inventions etc and all seems OK. He told me alot of times at night he feels really bad about his day--makes me sad, yet glad he has a conscience.

Dorothy I am still thinking about you!

I honestly don't remember the names of most of the boys teachers. In the middle school each of the boys have 6 teachers. Now Benj just has 1 teacher she is an older lady very sweet. I am relieved.

Hi Lynn!

I did have a portion of light icecream tonigh but NOTHING else! Janet thanks for the suggestions. I am working on another baby blanket. (crochet) that does help. I think it is really that I am tired and rather than just go to bed I comfort eat.

Evening--everyone tuckered out after hiking??
Doro- so hope to get an update. Pray believing all is well!
Christina I'm sending you some help! How do you remember all the teachers and keep it all straight??
Janet. fast food is RIDICULOUS. we were at Wendy's today (Chaz's choice after our errands) Mom joined us on her lunch break and her "healthy" chicken grill was $4.59 and unfit to eat. It was like leather, and she was eating it. I told her to take it back up, but very crowded and she was hungry...etc. she returned it after taking a few bites that were awful. But wonder how many people (me included) would just eat it because we payed for it, or whatever--after years of that, it really adds up to unhealthy life choices.I feel bad for the guy on your show. How would you ever get over all the hurdles....I'm trying to be mindful not put ANYMORE hurdles in my path.

Christina~You are going to have a crazy afternoon meeting teachers! Hope the boys like their new teachers. I have gone extreme in the night snacking world. I am NOT bringing those items in the house. No chips. No club crackers. There just really isn’t much to “grab” other than fruit or celery. Is there a project you can grab to keep your hands busy when the urge strikes? Another trick…try setting a timer for 10 min. and if you’re still hungry/snacky when it goes off go ahead and have something. Otherwise, move on! HUGS!!! This is a tough one for me too!

Lynn~Good to see you. Hugs to you too on the snacking thing.

I started the day heading to the grocery store and conquering a few other errands. Kids went along happily for a change. I then did some emails on the homeschool classes as I’d been in touch with the two outside instructors. Naturally there were some “Oh! That much $?” things that came back but I’m NOT accepting their issues on that. It’s not my problem. They don’t have to do it. Anyway…I finally jumped on the treadmill about 3 p.m. and watched a tape of Extreme Weightloss Makeover and it was very thought provoking. This individual could not be helped by the trainer as his food addiction was too severe and he was becoming suicidal at the 9 month point of that year so the trainer took him willingly to an outpatient rehab and that was the end of the episode. His worst enemy was fast food and snacking. Really has made me think…..

Hey!
Maybe I'm back this time - we'll see! Trying to get myself motivated and hang in there.

My confession - I seem to be snacking ALL the time now! Here at work and when i first get home in the evenings. Granted my snacks here at work are good but when you eat 2 or 3 100 calorie packs it's not good....

Going to check out the Fire Valley? Valley Fire? emoticon
