2nd load of laundry is in ---2 loads are folded ---and went thru my tops on the top tier of the closet---discarding about 7 tops so far. And 2 maybes are turned backwards to see if I wear them this year or not. And they are organized by colors.

Hope your leg is feeling better soon. I will be working on the dining room area today. We are having my mother-in-law over for a cookout on the 4th.

Whoa, they just sent you home---no recommendation for PT? What that sounds like is your IT band is inflamed on that leg---had that same issue with my left leg. I will post some things they had me do that really helped with that---I too worried about a clot when it happened to me and the ultrasound showed none. At least you got those 2 things together. And together we can work on that clutter---but think today is a rest day for that leg along with a few choice exercises.
Today I hope to start on my bedroom----thinking I am going to go thru tops in my closet---going to try a few things on and thinking they will be going.

I marinated some chix breast chunks to make kabobs for dinner tonight. Here's my story. Had a really bad day with my knee...just kept giving out on me and then I could walk it off? Never happened to me before. So I go to the garage and get a glass top table that's still in the box from clearance sale last year to use to set up the little propane BBQ which is also from same sale and still in it's box. Got the table put up...easy peazee since all I had to do was remove it from the box and unfold the legs, discard the plastic and packing material. Came in and threaded chicken and pineapple and green pepper and mushrooms onto the skewers-went to 3 places to find bamboo skewers earlier in the day. Got the box to unpack the BBQ. Was in a million pieces!!! Way too hot to set up outside so brought it inside to put together. Took me over an hour. Finally got it outside on the table and fired up. Limped back in and got the kabobs and put them on. Took a really long time to cook. They were very tasty but dinner was 2 hours late. The pain and limping in the right knee got worse and finally took myself to the ER. I was more worried about blood clots than anything else. Had an ultrasound and they said no blood clot, might just be pulled muscles or low electrolytes? Told me to take a hot bath, a pain pill and come back if it was worse or report to the VA at Fort Harrison. So I'm eating 2 bananas and going to soak in epsom salts and finish up my tracking for the day and sleep. I just want to cry. I couldn't believe how hard it was to put together the stupid BBQ-and part of that is just finding a place large enough and clear enough to spread out and work and finding the right screwdriver and a socket set....because of my disorganization and clutter. Then this horrible pain and thinking I am so motivated to keep clearing and now too painful to do it. Wondering if it really is just pulled muscles from struggling with the a/c yesterday or something more serious to do with a steroid injection a couple of weeks ago and if some potassium and magnesium and sleep will make it good enough or if I really will have to drive the 210 miles to the VA to see the ortho. And that if I wasn't so fat my knees wouldn't hurt so much. So my decluttering isn't going so well. I know part of it is just this darn heat and part of it the sudden onset knee pain....but mostly it's the pity party I seem to be having for myself.

Good for you! Sounds like you made good headway! I do save my magazines and take them to the art teacher at the high school---she uses them for collages---so next time, you could do this---or get rid of them as soon as you look at them--it is hard not to clutter up the area with them. But don't feel guilty---they were overwhelming you and you needed them gone!
My challenge today is putting away some of my gd's toys she played with this weekend---mainly her table set and to clean the outside portion of my front door and the area where we hang our coats when we come in.

I got into my closet last night. First time since January. Took 27 pieces of "nice" clothing off the hangers to donate to my friend who needs some nice summer work clothes. Filled 4 garbage bags with newspapers and coupons and magazines...didn't look thru them at all or would not have been able to accomplish this and hauled them to the trash before I had a chance to rethink it. I could hear my mother's voice saying someone would want to read them. Cleared out the corner where the window a/c goes and had to use a pry bar and a hammer to get the window open enough to hoist the a/c in to it. Plugged it in and sat down to get it all duct taped (the MacGyver method) in to seal it. Will have that window and it's opposite twin on the other side of the bay window replaced this fall. Old, old windows. Thanks God for air conditioning and for His patience with my mess. I am anticipating taking 5 bags of clothes to Sunny when we meet up in her town for the 4th of July parade so will keep sorting and donating and trashing them. Feel good and only a bit of guilt about chucking the magazines.

Used to work at a hospital ER and we always took magazines for our waiting room. Then I read one of the germiest things in the hospital was those magazines....now I don't feel guilty (much) about chucking them. Plus, I tear out recipes and articles and the reality is I never make a single one of them....if I want to try something new I just go online....so it's a waste of time and a cause of clutter I can do without at this point in my life.

Hope to get thru some more magazines today when I need to prop up my knee---made good headway yesterday on that pile but still have more to do. Also plan on putting my HGTV magazines in a new home this evening. That will help declutter my coffee table. Have to go thru those baskets today.

The sewing room closet had clothes that had been sorted out for donation, linens, bathroom supplies and overflow hanging for clothes. The clothes for donation & linens have now been removed.

Good idea---make sure you check the dates on packages and put the newest to the back.
I am working thru a pile of magazines---think I have gotten thru 6 of them today---I let them pile up this spring and I do want to look thru them before putting them in my recycle pile.

Today's Project: The kitchen pantry. I *think* it's mostly okay clutter-wise, but it's terribly disorganized, and organizing it is the first step toward clearing out some cabinet space for things that are cluttering my counters.

Good for you---did you get rid of all your office stuff or make a corner of the room for just that?
I have decluttered the kitchen, laundry area, and dining room which includes my desk---the living room is next on my list as I do a top to bottom cleaning of that room this week--the big challenge is going thru my gd's toys in there and making my dh go thru his pile of junk in his corner by his chair. The magazines I am getting thru and putting them in the donation bag---they will go back to school with me for the art teacher to use.

I've decided to make my office a third bedroom, they are delivering the bed tomorrow . The room is now clear, it was a week long project.
Once the delivery is here all the other rooms will finally be cleaned! Yeah!

I know what you mean---lately I have had no time for anything and the stress level is high---so when I am home all I want is to get on here and to zone everyone out---and even then they won't leave me alone---so the stress just gets worse. I really would love to have a weekend just for me to do what I want and not have to take care of anyone but me. I know it sounds selfish but I really need it.

I hate to say it, but getting my table cleaned off became my basic task for the day. Forgot I'd be running most of the afternoon and had a class to attend this evening. My shelf will be my to do for tomorrow.

I have been working on my bedroom this week---thanks to FlyLady site---some of her stuff is a bit much---but making my bed every day does make me want to have the rest looking nice.
And little tiny trees have invaded my mulched area---what a mess to declutter them---already started and probably pulled up 300 of them so far---probably more than 700 to go---and I am not exaggerating either.

I did get the scrapbooking stuff put away that I got for Christmas---wish I could take time to do that but no room with my mom here---and no time either as I am sure as soon as I started doing something, she would need me for something. At least I got something done over the break---and did get some cleaning done, too.

the flower show sounds like fun to me. I cant believe all the stuff I have done so far reviewed the sale ad for one of the stores I shop at saw 4 items that I buy. maybe I will go there maybe I wont. went through the email box and took care of that business. still need to put the shelf together, I will get to it and need to hook up the box for the streamlining of the wii and dvd player. and maybe find some time to work on a project for work.

I am a very active and busy sleeper so I am guessing I am not getting the restful sleep I need. the fitbit shows how often I move around during my sleep and it is a lot. barely longer than an hour goes by without movement logged on the fit bit. handy little tool that is. wonders how people can sleep without moving around. I am getting some paperwork done but really needs to get some labels made and then back to filing.

Still spending most of my free time at the hospital---just maintaining laundry is a chore!

Two things: Clean fish tank. Clean out my son''s "shirt" drawer.

Had all sorts of plans for this weekend but with my mom in the hospital, I have not gotten anything done but the basics---so today is just laundry and dishes before I go back to the hospital---sigh!

Arrh. Just realized didn't fold the clothes or do the desk, so I'm headed for the clothes now. One of my least favorite chores. Will do it as I talk on the phone. emoticon
