My goals:
1. Accept and be grateful for my body and my metabolism as they are. No feeling sorry for myself.
2. Veggies and protein at every meal. Fasting 16 hours every 24, when possible due to exercise schedule.
3. Mindful eating. Pay attention to every bite.
4. No guilt when I am unable to stay on plan. When I get off track, get back on ASAP.

I didn't feel much like exercising last night when I got home, so I just set my kitchen timer for 30 minutes, put on a CD and danced to some lively praise tunes! Then I had a gooooood stretch!

Going for a nice long Nordic walking tour this afternoon.

Went swmming again yesterday. I spent an hour in the pool, swimming laps until I got wicked leg cramps. I hung on the side and did bicycles under water, anything to keep moving!

I got up this morning to sore legs. But I didn't want to miss my jog. So I got up and hit the road. I got 1 lap done and my shins were finished. But I did it! 7 straight days of exercise!

WTG on the "wogging", Nicki!

I sometimes feel like I could get back into jogging myself because I have to go faster to get into my target heart rate these days. On the treadmill, that means the machine compensates by giving me a steeper and steeper incline till I almost feel like I'm mountain climbing. I'm already walking about as fast as I can, so jogging would be the next step. Not sure if my joints could take it. We'll see.

It's warmed up again here - YAY - so Nordic walking will be really nice today. Maybe we'll take the longer tour again. That would be good because I need to catch up on my cardio minutes. Today is halfway, so I should be at 650 minutes and I aint :)

Wogged 40 minutes this morning, 2 laps around the cemetery plus the distance from my house and back. The direction I walk has 2 hills going up and 1 going down. On the second lap, I jogged up both of the hills! WooHoo!

30 on the elliptical and 30 on the treadmill, then as much of my strength program as time allowed. I drove to the city today (usually take the train) and we only have 2 1/4 hours free parking! So, with showering and changing, etc, it can get a little tight!

I did it! I got up early on a Saturday morning! yippee! I wogged from my house to a local cemetery and went twice around the perimeter of the cemetery. An estimated total 2.9 miles in 40 minutes!

I decided to sleep in today, so no early morning wog.
My kids and I went 'downtown' to walk around. We went to the farmers market and scored some beautiful veggies. We walked around for over 4 hours!
Then after dinner I mowed the lawn 45 min. And pulled weeds for another 30.

40 minutes on the elliptical at the gym while watching the World Championship Track and Field events from Japan. Then 38 on the treadmill. And then my full strength program on the machines.

Still didn't quite make it to my goal of 1300 cardio minutes in August, but I'm NOT going to go walk around the block for 68 minutes just to get there. emoticon

I did The Firm Cardio Sculpt, 55 min. Lots of step aerobics, weights, squats and crunches. Its long, but such a good workout!

60 minutes total on the elliptical and treadmill. Took it a little easier on the pace today, though.

77 minutes total on the elliptical and treadmill. Burned a bunch of calories and added to my cardio challenge total - not sure if I'll make it to 1300 minutes, but I'll get pretty close, I think!

I was busy in my yard over the weekend, and took yesterday of to rest.
I am back on track today, got up early and did The Firm Super Body Sculpt before work. 42 min of ST and cardio.

I tried a couple of new things this past week - the wave-stepper at the gym. I don't know what else to call it - it's like a stepper but the movement is more like skating, side to side. It was ok for a change, but I think I'll be sticking to the elliptical and the treadmill.

On Friday, I took some kids to the park and went on the seesaw with some of the little girls while the older ones were playing rough. It was like doing super-squats! Thought I'd be hurting on Saturday, but I wasn't - guess the weight training and stretching are paying off!

Yesterday was Nordic walking day - super weather and we had a great tour!

Today was ST again. I did a different video that focused more on the lower body. There were different upper body weight routines too. It was fun and tiring. No ab work, so I will do some crunches and stretching before bed.

The SP exercise of the day was lateral lunges, of which I did many this morning. Even step, side lunges. Oy...my hips are sore!
