Went to eat out for my mom's birthday. I planned ahead and choose as wise as I could. The meal was delicious! I didn't have to feel guilty as I knew exactly what I was eating.

I have been doing great and now feeling so much more energetic! Yesterday I worked out - then later figure skated and then to top off the day I played tennis! It was such a fun day
today I worked out and just finished skating! Thinking about taking lessons!

I'm back on track!

Yesterday my victory was fitting and successfully wearing a pair of pink dress pants that I couldn't even button back in July when my big sis gave me the pants.

Same as yesterday...day 5 of walking each morning. Walked 33 minutes; came home and had high fiber toast with a little apricot jam and a glass of non-fat milk. Will have fruit later this morning!

2 extra pieces of bread.
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 slice of cheese
100 calorie bar
Started thinking
What are you doing?
This is sabatouge.
Get a grip.
You are on a roll.
Stop it

I joined SP in April and have had a problem deciding on and sticking to a meal plan. Well today I have decided that the Plate Format is my meal plan. I feel really good about this decision and am confident that I will have no problem executing it.
Thanks for the opportunity to share.

After I slept through my workout this morning (too much work, too little sleep), I rejuggled my schedule to still get it all in. (The fact that the outdoor concert I planned to see tonight likely will get rained out made it easier.)

I fell during my sports conditioning class - darn pools of sweat but I made myself finish the class even though (on top of some personal stuff) all I wanted to do was find a corner and cry. I wasn't badly hurt, just some sore neck muscles, but I'd been having a lousy day already.

Welcome back, Ana. It is so good that you've come back even though you've been away. FlyLady is a lady with a website mostly about getting on top of one's housekeeping and clutter and one of her best sayings is, "You're not behind, just jump in where you are."

I'm moving along at a turtle's pace, so you're probably not far from me. I'm glad to see you back. And coming back IS a victory. I still have not gotten back to Curves although I'm paying for it every month. emoticon

As much as I wanted to NOT walk or do any strength training today, I made myself do it. Have been depressed all week & really don't care much about anything. I didn't want to do anything today, but I made myself do both & I feel better about it now. Glad I did. emoticon

emoticon Ana! 51 minutes when you didn't want to work out at all - good for you. I did another 20 minute walk this AM before 10. That's 3 days this week which is more than I've done other weeks.

Happy weekend, all.

emoticon Snipie! The most water ever in your life - great. That one is easy for me, because I learned breastfeeding my girls (four of them) to drink a glass of water every time I nursed and that got me in the habit. Now my body craves the water. It's now in the 90's here in Alabama and I have a water bottle with me every time I leave the house to walk or to run errands.

Good for you, Ana - what did you do for 82 minutes? I thought of you over theweekend, sending you 'be strong' thoughts. How did your weekend go?

I still have to learn to make exercise a habit - I'll get there.

My BIG victory came yesterday - I finally packed away all of Christmas and got it stored in our under-the-stairs closet. For years we had kept all the house decorations (linens, Advent calendars, figurines, mugs and glasses) in a BIG box - about 1x3x4 feet. When it came upstairs and I opened it , there was way too much to deal with at once. This year we threw away the big box which was starting to fall apart after a5 years of use and I had piled items by categories all over our family room furniture - some were in boxes, but not arranged. Finally yesterday, using a timer, I repacked each box after writing a general list of what is in each in a notebook, labeled each CH 2 - 11 (1, 4, 5 were already labeled) and got them ALL put away. I have a family room again and I'll know where to find just a dozen or so Christmas items at a time. This year it's done before Memorial Day. Next year I'll aim for before Valentine's Day!

Thanks Elaine - Honestly once I really put my mind to it, it hasn't been that hard. Don't get me wrong I have some tough days, but I decided I needed to do this for me and by gosh I'm doing it :)

OH my victory today was working out. I was so tired after all the work we did yesterday I just was not motivated to put in my time. However I forced myself to do 20mins and I feel great for doing so.

It's non-diet related, but it's a huge victory for me. After putting off redoing my daughters room for the past two months I finally got it done. I asked my parents to watch her for the day and my husband and I totally redid her room. She went from toddler room to big girl room. It was a lot of work pulling it all together, but it looks great and she loves it. Now to tackel the garage since we finally got all the furniture out of it :)

Great job ElaineAnn, emoticon I know how tough that first step is. It took me a year of "picturing" myself losing weight before I actually did anything about it. I have no idea how many times I actually said to myself,"I should go for a walk" before I really made myself do it. Do that mile everyday and you'll feel so good about yourself and before you know it you'll be doing 2 miles and wondering what different routes you should try each day.

have you seen todays quote?

"Stop living life for what's around the corner and start enjoying the walk down the street."

- Grant L. Miller, motivational guru

emoticon all of you wonderful women. I've just read all the posts from the beginning. What a lot of accomplishments - and fun to 'see' some of you who I'd seen at the start of our SparkJourney. I've been posting mostly on the 50+ board, but I had a victory today. I walked!! I've been doing fine with the nutrition and water tracking and staying within goals there, but just not exercising. This evening I just kicked myself out the door for a 1 mile walk and managed it in under 20 minutes - which is good for me now. A few years ago I did the 1 mile route in 15:30 - maybe I'll get there again. But I started today- VICTORY!
