My D1W1 was also yesterday. I'm going to try to do 5 days a week instead of just 3, hopefully improving the distance that i travel on a treadmill. lol Yesterday in the 31 mins i went 1.6 miles. We'll see come saturday what it is.

It is a wonderful feeling to run with your children. My 11 year old loves to run with me. I hope to run with her in a 5K, but for now, 3 days a week watching me pant and press forward has been fulfilling.

That is awesome! My D1W1 was yesterday and afterwards I felt incredible. My goal is to run a 5K as a gift to myself on my birthday.

I love that you are running with your son. Our 10 y/o son and I run together. We are running our third 5K this month. When we cross the finish line it is
a special moment.

I have been trying unsuccessfully for about a year and a half to enjoy the benefits of running, you know the high calorie short amount of time to weight loss and have hated the whole thing. I never felt a relaxing energy that comes with "just being out there" but today was different. Listening to the pod-cast while running was like doing it with a supportive friend that wasn't antagonistic, but was there the whole time.

My 12-year old son and I are running a 5K in June. I am really beginning to see where I could like this not just for the time I get to spend with my son (and feel a bit like a martyr) but also for myself. He will be running with me three days a week and has even asked that I down load the podcast to his Mp3!
