emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon job Glinda! I used everything but the chantix. Unfortunately it took me being hooked up to an oxygen tank that made me quit, but I dont have to use it anymore, but I choose to use it at night sometimes when I sleep. I smoked for 35 years!I lost some lung compacity but I am ok! Thank God! I also have a dear friend that was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at 43 she is cancer free at this time but still smokes. That really keeps me quit! emoticon

One of my many passions in life is to support People who are trying to quit smoking. I've been down that hard road! It DOES!! get easier! I promise! LET GO AND LET GOD!

These changes for the good do happen fast. I noticed a difference in my breathing while working out the first day without smoking. And it had only been 12 hours!

Not everyone can quit cold-turkey, so if the gum works for you, GREAT! Lord knows I've never been successful without some sort of aid (Chantix has been my savior.) I read an article this morning and thought I'd share this with you. Here is what you've done for yourself in two days...

"In 20 minutes your blood pressure will drop back down to normal.

In 8 hours the carbon monoxide (a toxic gas) levels in your blood stream will drop by half, and oxygen levels will return to normal.

In 48 hours your chance of having a heart attack will have decreased. All nicotine will have left your body. Your sense of taste and smell will return to a normal level."

*~Danielle~*

"Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities crept in - forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it well and serenely, and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old mistakes and nonsense." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

You can do this! One day at a time...

In your life's journey, there will be excitement and fulfillment, boredom and routine, and even the occasional train wreck...But when you have picked a dream that is bigger than you personally, that truly reflects the ideals that you cherish, and that can positively affect others, then you will always have another reason for carrying on. - Pamela Melroy

I discovered that the nicotine gum works pretty well. I am still determined to stay away from cigarettes.

For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
