So, we did not do most of it ourself. A man took off the old tiles, and put on all the new ones with his partner.
My husband put in the faucet and the bottom piece that now are sold separate with the thing to keep water in the sink. He moved the fridge, oven, dishwasher. He had to change out the pipes under the sink that took him 5 hours and four trips to hardware store. He also put in the hose bib outside, a piece of the pipe burst during the freeze.., He figured this out from utube.
I was nervous, but the tile man said the pipes under the sink was correct

The granite and black splash was done professionally but he did the part I part said.

I am impressed that you are doing all this remodel work by yourselves. We remodeled our kitchen last year but hired it done. My husband is not good at building but is wonderful at a lot of other things.

So this morning we had two places that did not smell right.., but we turned off the heater.
Maybe after April or May we can figure it out, or everything will have dried from the replaced area

Yes, the kitchen was the only room not completed in 2014. They painted the cabinets gray from light scratched wood, and new silver drawer knobs. The changed the flooring and put in a matching set of appliances. It does seem like the stove and dishwasher are having problems. Part of this is because of lack of upkeep. For example , the bottom is missing from oven. If it was not 7 or 8 years old, I would replace it. It’s not worth the 42 dollars when the oven temperature is not always consistent. It took me 3 or 4 days to get it clean.

I think I told you that they put in our new counter yesterday and the sink. My husband is trying to get in the faucet and plumbing. He has hardly any experience, but we are praying, and he fixed the hose bib...

Its exciting for us. So Saturday they do back splash. emoticon
