I HEARD THAT, Barb!!! About the VA issues! How DARE they?!? Don't you seriously just wanna go SLAP someone?!? Maybe my circle is just that small, but it feels like so many people are so disgusted with the VA, government, administration, whatever, and yet no one seems to be trying to fix anything! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............
............

Lacy's feeling "better". She went back to work. That was one of the first things she asked her colleague. Rather, crying to her said, "will they really ever want me to come back?!?" Well, they called yesterday and said, 'if you're feeling up to it, we really need you to come back asap' so she went back yesterday. They're really wonderful to her there. Good thing to work with doctors when you have a medical issue, huh?

I spent the work day sneaking peeks at my smart phone's FB app, seeing the photos that the November 5th family posted of the ceremony and gatherings. I nearly cried seeing Joy Clark (wounded), Christine Gaffaney (widowed), Grant Moxon (wounded)... etc. but them especially as I can see the aging of the wounded in the 5 years, 5 months and 5 days since that horrible event.

Christine looks good, but oh, how I wished I could have given her a hug! Those yellow ribbon events I kept dashing off to in 2010 had all these people in them, and seeing them now, realizing that five years have passed for ALL of us... and for so many of them, in waiting! Loved the one photo which I call "My mom is a bada$$"... the soldier who took my son's seat in the room while he went to get his eyes checked... Keara Torkelson... with her purple heart, in her dress blues, with husband Joe and their two children, both born since that fateful day.

It's a family, those with whom our loved ones serve... and in this case an extended family, because it brought units together that were NOT serving together but went through you-know-what together.

The battle is not over... apparently some of them, purple heart notwithstanding, are still having trouble getting their veteran's benefits, having to "prove" that their ailments are the result of combat injuries. This team knows about that... I've seen several of you have to fight for your loved ones' rights after they came home!

Oh, Carla... here I've been rambling... and what a fright you have had, right there! My heart goes out to your family, having to deal with an unpredictable condition, and see that the little ones are cared for. emoticon

Thoughts and prayers for all!

- Barb

Oh Barb, my heart just aches for everything they've all gone through. It's SO about time. Much love and admiration to all.

We had another SCARE yesterday!!! OMG. Lacy's clinic called again and ANOTHER seizure! Exactly one month from the last one. Freddy went and brought her home to rest and she called Shawn to come get her and Kolten. He got there about 2 hours later, while she was resting and BOOM! ANOTHER ONE! She came out of the bedroom and grabbed me, but couldn't talk. I helped her to the floor and we all just "watched". It was horrifying! Anne was just about hysterical (probably good thing that she saw exactly what happened since she'd given so little consideration to the first one). I finally just yelled at her, "call 9-1-1!" and she could barely do that. It got done though and Lacy pulled through and went to ER. Shawn went with her and wanted me there too, so I drove after them. Doc put her on meds, no arguments. She's going back to see her neuro today and Shawn took the day off. (which is sort of unheard of, so he's getting it too) Now we wait. Don't know if I said this before, but her neuro said that almost 50% of people with a seizure disorder never find out why it happens! We may never know, but we do know now that she has to be on meds for at least 2 years and we're on another three-month chauffeur schedule. Ah well, the things you do for your kids.

Got my RED on!
Happy weekend all!

What a work week, Connie!

Today I'm feeling a little emotionally fragile, and I don't drink but I do eat, and last night I kind of did a "symbolic drunk" starring peanut butter, coconut oil and popcorn popped in said oil. My son drinks once a year... around November 5th. Today, the wounded and families of the fallen will get their purple hearts (and defense of freedom medal for the civilians involved)... or at least today is the "biggest" gathered together ceremony. One of the wounded sent me a FB invitation. My heart is full... they waited a LONG time to be officially recognized as wounded/killed "in action".

Hoping today to hold it together a little better... because tomorrow is supposed to be my longest training run leading up to the Lincoln National Guard Marathon/Half Marathon... and I do advertise that I'm running for them, the "November 5th family".

It's Friday, too... red, anybody? Until they ALL come home? emoticon

NO WAY! That's so cool. I never knew that. I'll have to share with Anne and see how she feels about having a BIG boy. She's a peanut....barely made height and weight to get into the Corps! hehehe............

We were successful keeping him awake a little more last night, so he slept a little longer and so did she. We'll see how it goes. I really think she's seeing "single-mom-of-two" on the horizon and getting a little antsy. She's being "nicer" around the house and in general... maybe to prevent us from kicking her back to the condo sooner than later. I love having them all around except the constant chaos. I need my down-time. Now ask me in a couple months and I'll want 'em all back.

Carla, I read somewhere that sleeping babies are the ones who are GROWING fast! Did you know you only grow while sleeping? Hunter will no doubt be a big strong fella!

Sunny, glad you're feeling better. Sorry you shared what you didn't wanna! Yikes. We could all do without THAT kind of sharing.

I am feeling better, biked and did some much needed clean up in the Sun Room.

Have a good evening and rest when you can, Carla.

Ya know Sunny, ya don't have to SHARE EVERYTHING! Sorry you're feeling down. Colds and flu are yucky.

Sharon, I've thought about honking, but I don't know that the neighbors would care for it at 7am! Maybe at 3.....we'll see if we get some warmer weather before they head home.

Yeah, Hunter's a pistol. Little man sleeps from 4pm through 1am, only waking for short feedings and then he wants to be UP! It is almost impossible to keep him awake. He just ignores us, even when we're handling him and bouncing and tickling and tweaking.... he just closes his eyes and shuts everything out! Stubborn cuss............just like his mom!

Just stopping by. I have been fighting what I thought was a cold but it just wasn't getting any better so headed to see my doc yesterday. Because the Flu is going around again here, she did a test and sure enough, I have the flu. All Winter I have been able to avoid being sick with the exception of a minor 3 day cold which was wonderful considering the fall and the hematoma. I had enough going on for sure. Well, now Spring is here and I am doing better day by day so here comes the flu. I am now on Tamiflu, an antibiotic, and a pill for the cough which was tearing up my rib cage. Today, fluids, more rest and this afternoon, possibly some biking if I feel better. I am not going to push it.

Sounds like Hunter will set his own routine. They have a tendency to do that.

Take care and have a Terrific Tuesday, Team.

Semi-permission! That's a good one. Gotta remember that for future reference.

Easter went well. Hunter is sorta getting used to his routine except we still haven't broken him of his 1-2am morning alarm. He's a little off day/night. Told Anne she's got to give up sleep herself to get him on a different schedule, but she's not quite ready for that yet, so she has to deal with it. As long as she's okay to live with here, while she's dealing, then we're okay too.

Driving by your house daily again, Miss Sharon! Caddie's visiting Laurie while I'm at work so Anne and Hunter can get acquainted and schedule-oriented and Anne only has one child to deal with while getting her veteran stuff worked out. Got her veteran ID yesterday and Tricare is on the books for today. She seems to be "thinking" a little more clearly these days.

A blessed Easter to all. I ended up visiting a very dangerous place today on the "Easter Bunny Chocolate bike ride"...

Must ration... or give away... but they are SO good!

Burned 710 calories on a 20 mile ride... that gives me "semi-permission" to eat the chocolate! Just not TOO MUCH!

Enjoy your time with your family, Carla.

We will go to Church with our Son and DIL then out to eat. I was going to cook but hubs says absolutely not. He said I could cook when I get to feeling better.

The 5% Spring Challenge started today and I have a good start. My 5% will equal almost 10#'s and seems like every time I loose 10, I gain it all back in time. I need to do better!

Take care and have a Hoppy Easter!

Asparagus!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon Asparagus!!!

Spring has sprung. Buds on the trees. Allergies in the air! hahaha!

Anne, Caddie and Hunter are here for the week. We'll see when she's ready to head home. So far, so okay. She went off last night, but I'm trying to remember that she's struggling with the reality of being a single mom of two now. Tyler's still on-line, but he's still in the Corps and 1200 miles away. No help whatsoever. smh..........

Easter tomorrow, up at Mommy's with about half the family. Should be okay cuz the one that tends to cause the most "stress" is going to be gone...........the "other" Marine (my little bro.....smh again)

Spring is here - finally and it is wonderful. I sat out on the patio yesterday for a while ad it was just so nice! DH cleaned out the Asparagus bed as it won't be long. Yea!! Love, love, love fresh Asparagus.

I was cleaning out my purse yesterday and found my Ticket to Trans Siberian and a Metrolink Ticket. As usual, we parked our car at Metrolink and took the train downtown. I never noticed before but noticed yesterday, the ticket says "One Day Adventure Pass". Wow - it was an adventure to say the least.

Take care Team and have a Wonderful Wednesday.

All medication has some kind of side effects. Hope your brother gets to feeling better, Michele. I am impressed with all of the knitting. Wow - I just know that new Mother is going to love whatever you are knitting for her precious baby.

Barb, sure thought of you and Connie today. We came home from church to watch the Michigan/Louisville game. Oh my, what a good game.

Now I will be cheering for Wisconsin and Michigan. If these two end up in the last game, I am going for Michigan.

Way to go Spartans!!!

The drug that causes the seizures is an anti-rejection drug. There are 3 you can take. The other 2 he is allergic to. It was a drug that caused the liver failure in the first place. He actually is doing pretty good. He has been going on senior trips with my mom. Like I told a friend, 2 steps forward, 1 step backwards.

Barb, so sorry to hear that about your sister.

I agree, scary side effect. Sometimes you really have to weigh the advantages and disadvantages, see what side effects hit YOU, and make adjustments. My sis got arthritis pain as a side effect of something she took in recovery from breast cancer, and given that she is a stringed instrument music teacher, they had to change her meds to avoid that particular side effect.

Hope they figure that one out for your brother, Michele!

Sunny, I work at Tractor Suppy Company and for about 6 weeks every spring we get baby ducks and chickens.

I have not tryed to knit European Style yet. My current projects are a pair of socks (I mainly work on at work while lunch), a lace style sweater (christmas or birthday gift for my mom), and a baby sweater for a shower I am invited to next month. My mom is caregiver for my brother and she deserves special things. I am 2 hours away so it is hard for me to help. My brother wanted to take her to Hawaii for everything she has done for him but does not look like he will ever be able to. He has been in the hospital for the last couple of days with another seizure. This time low sodium caused it. He is a liver transplant patient and this is a side effect of one of the meds he is on.

Anyway, everyone have a great weekend. I get to go to work.

Glad your stress is down at work but Chicken at the store? The store where your work? Do you work at Farm and Home supply? I always wanted to work at a Farm and Home just because of the baby chicks and ducks.

You are a knitter? That is terrific. I have been trying to learn out to Knit European Style. It is so different than the way I learned but I figure if I keep at it, it will be better and produce a more consistent stitch. What are you knitting?

I hope you have a good weekend too, Michele and we are glad you are back.

Hi everyone. I have been on almost everyday reading posts and recording food. Weight is sort of stuck right now. Have has less stress at work because the boss has been on sick leave since February, but working lots of hours with more responsibility. Thursday is my free night where I meet a bunch of ladies at Schulers, have dinner and knit. The chickens at the store are messing with my allergies but thankfully have not been as bad as previous years.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Hi Gals, TGIF.
Have a great Friday, everyone. I will be rooting for Michigan State tonight, I believe playing Oklahoma State? We are not favored to win but we upset the first two games so we shall see. The games doesn't begin until 9 tonight so I am looking forward to that.
Cold outdoors, high only 31 high today. Maybe seeing some dusting of snow. But mid 50s next week. Hope it's warmer where you all are.
Have a great day.

That was a good game - Wisconsin and NC. 79-72. Wow. Wisconsin's late run won them the game. I was hoping at half time that WSU could pull it out but it wasn't meant to be.

I don't fill out a bracket but have been a long time March Madness Fan. I grew up in a Basketball town in Central Kansas and learned to love the game. Kansas University and Wichita State continue to foster that love affair.

Hope you all have a GREAT day.

Hugs, Sunny

This year I didn't fill in a bracket... some years I do, but I was down with that awful flu and not "up" for anything when the teams were first announced and then I never got around to it. Doesn't matter... over the course of the games I somehow manage to develop favorites anyway.

The women's Round 1 game between my two alma maters... Nebraska and Syracuse... who to root for? Undergrad or Grad school... clear emotional winner, undergrad. However, they lost (Huskers) and then Syracuse lost the next game, so both are out. Ah, well.

I still root for good play, whoever's uniform is worn!

Just curious, do you ladies fill out brackets? I do a free one just for fun, sponsored by CBS sports. There's a shot at winning a $5,000 prize, but of course thousands of people are playing. I'm usually pretty lucky, scoring in the top 10% or so. This year, not so much! I think all my brackets are busted except for South. Oh well! It's fun anyway!

Sorry about your basement Sunny! What a mess, but happy for you that a bunch of stuff wasn't ruined. I've had basement floods in previous houses and lost a lot, plus had to deal with mold. Here we are in a split level house with no basement, so when we had a flood in 2013 we had severe damage. Thankfully it was when I was preparing to open the daycare, not already open. My whole lower level is daycare now and it would have been devastating.

No, I missed that about the WSU coach. That could have an impact, for sure. But I'm thinking it is more likely playing high and then not having it left in the tank for the next "big" team, i.e. Notre Dame.

Ah, well... did you notice Wisconsin had a great game and held off NC? That was a pretty exciting end game!

I am thinking probably so.

Did you hear where WSU's Coach has a job offer from Alabama. Wow....
If the team knew it, wonder if it affected how they played.

We are watching it too. So sad. I thought they had a good chance at the half time but then Notre Dame started shooting those 3 pointers. Wow.

Our Son stopped by after work. A friend of his will be here tomorrow to pump the water out. Ugh.
Thank goodness we don't have anything down there. It was built more for a storm shelter. We live in a manufactured home so when we built the sun room on, we built it over a small basement. We will go out Saturday and buy a new dehumidifier as ours is gone...

Game over 81-70, WSU headed home. emoticon

Thanks so much, Sharon. It was 3 months ago today that I had the fall. Now, I just have the Neurologist follow up and then an appointment with the Cardiologist in May to find out what is going on with him heart.

We woke up to a flooded basement this morning. There is nothing down there but just some shelves with canned good on them. Thank goodness but it is our "hidy hole" if we have storm warnings. Brian's (our son) friend will be here tomorrow to pump it out. Then we will have to have a new dehumidifier as it is ruined. When it rains....it sometimes floods the basement.

Take care and have a good evening. I am off to watch the Wichita State Game. Notre Dame is running all over them right now. Yie, yie, yie.

Hugs to all, Sunny

Quick hello everybody!

Sunny, that's fantastic news! This sure is dragging on, but you are on the right track, so prayers are being answered! Patience is a virtue!

Connie, those long hours will end just about in time for Cabin season to be in full swing. Smart lady!

What's new with everybody else? Not much here....spending a lot of time on paperwork. Tis the season for taxes, daycare trainings, and "March Madness" activities, which frankly wear me out. Staying up waaaay too late too, so that has to stop!

Tomorrow is Friday -- 3 cheers!

The CT showed the hematoma is almost gone. Woop, woop, woop! PTL for this. I was discharged from the Neuro Surgeon. Next appointment is in April with the Neurologist and in May with the Cardiologist. Praying the rest goes well.

Thanks so much for your support and prayers.

It is a shame for people to be so rude. It just doesn't make any sense.

Keep the faith and know it is about them, not you!

Wow - I would have been upset also, Connie. For some reason, that just doesn't seem right. Bless your heart.

Not a day goes by that I don't miss my Dad and wish I could tell him something. With Spring coming on, I would give anything to go fishing with him one more time. I didn't have the added heartache of watching him mentally deteriorate but the physical deterioration was enough. I will be praying for you during this time. Hugs to you, Connie.

I do miss our talks too, Sharon. so good to see you here along with everyone else. We will have an April Challenge so keep watch for it.

Love you all, Sunny

Thanks all. I appreciate each of you and your thoughts and prayers. We (family) are staying strong and putting all this in God's Hands. You are right, Sharon, this disease is horrific and are new waters to tread and we're trying to take this one day at a time.
On a good note my husband is returning home by evening today from taking care of things in WV while Joel had his surgery. Bless his heart, he played Mr Mom while Joel was in Hospital and his wife starting a new job so she wasn't able to be by Joel's side. I would of gone but work scheduled me all week. Then I went in Tuesday and the gal that I was working for decided she wanted to work all week until her baby was born (she was due last Tues) and I was sent home! even though I was on the schedule, until next week...Needless to say, I was ticked off. My boss said that he couldn't do anything. That's another long story. So I missed out on seeing my son/family. Not a great week. Alright, enough of my ranting, haha.

Connie, as you know, I've walked in your shoes, and I share your heartbreak. I pray for peace for your dad as he tries to maneuver these new waters, and for your family as you try to come to terms with reality changing due to this damn disease. Hugs to you my friend!

Barb, I'm hoping you're no longer down for the count. I know you have a race coming up very soon!

Sunny, I miss our chats -- seems like I'm just so out of touch lately. Hoping that as these dreary end-of-winter days give way to long, lazy summer days I find more time to keep in touch. Take care!

That goes for the rest of you too -- Happy Spring and take care!

Oh Barb, so sorry you have been down with the flu but glad you are doing better.

Connie, that just breaks my heart to hear about your Father. It is tough and my heart goes out to you and your family.

Rich and I are going back to the Carb Cycling Diet as we both put on some weight since Christmas. Ugh. I am also back to exercising. I do ok on the bike but when I walk on the treadmill, my pulse jumps up to 180. That is not good! I don't know if it is doing that because of the COPD or just from being out of shape. I am going to walk again this afternoon and see if it does it again. I may need to be wearing the oxygen when I walk. I think I will try that to see if it helps.

Take care and have a GREAT weekend.

Glad you are feeling better, Barb.
And Sunny, glad you are getting better too.
Dad is doing horrible. His dementia continues to rob our family of our dad. He is now living in a long term care, but unfortunately, he had to be admitted back to the hospital. They are thinking that he has some sort of infection. He's Yelling, screaming, cursing, etc., words which I never heard or dream t him saying, or even knew!
So happy that Spring has arrived! Happy Friday, everyone. My son Joel's surgery went well with his hip replacement, he's home today and on to recovery.

Been knocked out with the flu, explaining my absence... but climbing out from under the rock, one day at a time. Tonight after work I went for my first jog in over a week. Took it slow and easy, and it felt good... happened to jog past the doctor's parking lot as he was leaving the office... we waved & smiled. He doesn't know I've been ill, as the last place I ever want to go when ailing is to the doctor... dumb, huh?

Anyway... a week 'til the next race... a ten miler on the 28th.

Don't blame you for not wanting to drive until you KNOW you're cleared, Sunny. The worst thing I can imagine would be knowing I was responsible for hurting someone else! Or someone's child!

Anyway, can't stay long... need to get my rest! Thinking of you all!

3 months is good. I can't drive for 6 months. I don't want to either out of fear if I had another seizure, I might hurt someone. I couldn't live with that. Glad Anne and Caddie are adjusting to their new digs. Let us know when Baby Hunter arrives. How exciting.

We went to Kansas over the weekend to attend The Kansas State Chess Championships. William played and did fairly good but didn't win a metal. He won 3, tied one match, and lost two matches. He needed to win at least 4 to get into the winner's circle. He was happy we made the trip.

Home on Monday and rested Tuesday. Wednesday, sis picked me up for lunch. It was nice and good to get out. Today, I finally got back to the treadmill - 15 minutes and the bike for 15 minutes. I am going to go bike another 15.

BTW, did anyone see Dancing with the Stars Monday? Suzanne Summers looked amazing and those legs - wow!! Made me want to order a thigh master right now.

Barb, hope all is well with you.

Connie, how is your Dad doing? I think about him often.

Sharon, I know you are busy but you are missed. Don't work too hard. K?

Take care and have a Fab Friday tomorrow.

I thought for sure I'd deleted an email before I clicked on the link and lost you guyz!
Life is calming down a bit. Anne and Caddie are doing well in the condo. Baby Hunter (we think) still isn't here yet. Lacy is going through all sorts of testing to see if they can determine what caused her seizure, but they've told us up to 50% of people never find a cause. She's agreed not to drive for the three months, so Freddy and I are helping her get to and from work. Looks like the marriage ceremony will be May 1st. Small ceremony, down by a lake they like, then maybe dinner somewhere. Big party this summer!!!
That's all for now!
Love ya!

Pack up FINALLY arrived Wednesday! Anne and Caddie have moved into the condo until the baby is born...........which could basically be any day, but we're leaving them there until because Anne's WAY too independent to live under our roof anymore. They're settling in pretty well. Caddie likes the new digs. Lots to look at and explore.

Hi team, Just popping in with a quick hello! It seems like I never can get to SP as much as I like lately! I've been lurking, reading posts, but just never finding time to give a proper response.

Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and all that's going on with you and the people in your lives!

Carla, I gotta say, if it's not one thing it's another! Sending my best wishes that Lacy's prognosis will improve, and her plans for more children won't have to be put on hold for too long. Praying that she heeds the doc's advice! How's Anne's pregnancy going? Everybody settled back in?

Barb, take care of yourself -- this flu is nothing to sneeze at! (pun intended.) I hope you are feeling better!

Connie, we've been enjoying spring-like weather all week here, hoping you have too. I've definitely got the fever! I suppose you are getting antsy to open up the cabin for the season!

Nellie, hoping everybody is getting better in your world!

Sunny, I've missed you much as well! So much going on around here, I've barely had time to keep up with everything, but know I'm following your progress and praying for you daily. Hope you're feeling better too!

And with that.....I've got to get the rear in gear so I can get to bed some time before the clock strikes midnight. Birthday party for one of the daycare kids tomorrow, and lots of prep to take care of! By the time you read this, it'll probably be Friday, so I'll say it now: TGIF!

I think you need some different kinds of "other shoes", Carla! Thoughts and prayers!

But glad you got to spend time with other Marine moms... has to have a positive affect!

Hugs to the whole team... the antiseptic on-line kind, since I've been sick here (methinks flu, but didn't go get it definitely diagnosed). Got up about 45 minutes ago and starting to feel more human. If I keep feeling semi-human, I'm thinking good to go to work tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Wow, I can understand Lacy's reaction. What a shock to the system to find that out!

Yes, Sunny, I went to a MN Marine Moms weekend at a hotel near MOA. It was great. Loads of laughter, tears, commiserating and what-not (LOTS of what-not!!! emoticon )

And then! Our world fell apart again! I am so tired of that danged "other shoe" dropping every time we think we've got things going right, for a change......................

So, Monday afternoon, I get a call from Lacy's (oldest-DD) clinic (pediatrics, where she works) and she's been taken, by ambulance, to the ER (almost next door) due to what appears to be a grande mal seizure! They couldn't get her fiance, so I was next on the list. We raced there and the ER doc, after asking loads of questions and a CAT scan, determined that she did have a seizure and what she thought had been panic attacks over the last 13 months were also probably very mild seizures!!! Took her to the neurologist yesterday and she says that Lacy does appear to have a seizure disorder and should be on meds and can't drive until they figure this out. Lacy WIGS OUT! They wanted to get pregnant this summer so the kids would be somewhat close in age. (Kolten is almost 5) I get that she's in shock. I get that this has totally mucked up her plans. But she goes off half-cocked and says, "this is all bullsh..."

Happy to hear that Nellie.

I am feeling so much better today myself. YEA!

I am planning on some cardio (biking and walking) tomorrow so joining you Connie. Think we should start a March Thread. I will go get it started. Exercise a minimum of 20 minutes a day.

I so have Spring Fever and so glad the weather is accommodating me.

Hopefully everyone gets back to "good health" all around soon. I need you gals! I have lost most of my motivation and can't seem to find it on my own. emoticon I am only about 5 lbs away from my original weight so need to turn this around soon!!! Today I began tracking my food so that's a start.
Have a great, healthy new week, everyone. emoticon

The implant went well and without any problems. That is to say with the implant but somehow picked up a virus and have been down in bed with that. Today, finally feeling a little better so got some cards addressed and did some laundry.

Way to go Connie on getting the cardio. I hope to be back to it soon but kind of short of breath from the virus so will wait another couple of days.

Did you go to the Marine Mom's March Weekend, Carla? Sounds interesting.

Sharon, so good to see you on the March thread. I have been missing you.

Nellie, hope your daughter is feeling better. Seems like something has been going around lately as so many folks I know have been sick.

Take care everyone. Have a GREAT week.

Sharon! Good to see you... thought about you a week ago, when I trucked myself through MSP on a connection. When I got off the plane at one gate, my watch said I had SIX MINUTES before boarding for the next flight was to begin. I made it, and so did the bags (impressed, I was)... but not a lot of time to savor being that close to your neck of the woods. I waved in passing. emoticon

Now, fresh new month. Hope it sees us all healthy, or on the road to healthier! emoticon

Nellie, that doesn't sound good. Bless her heart. Hope she improves quickly.

Thanks, Barb, for starting the March Chit Chat.

Only 18 days until spring.... emoticon

The Cardiologist is putting in the implantable loop recorder this Friday. Hopefully this will give us some results and answers as to why I fell in December. The Holter Heart Monitor showed some irregular heart beats so next step is the loop recorder. It is so interesting and definitely high tech.

The good news is that I am back to the exercise. I biked 30 minutes again today but only got 5 minutes on the treadmill. I got distracted by a phone call and never got back to it. More tomorrow. emoticon emoticon

Take care and Happy March!

Hope your granddaughter keeps right on improving and has that child-quick recovery from her cough, Nellie! And what a relief to have some "regular" hours for your son in law.

The resident military member, my son-in-law Brad, went back to a regular schedule today. He had been working weird hours where one day he would go in real early, and then the next day sort of late in the morning and then have a day off. Evidently he was in the guard house at the entrance to the base. I'm not sure for the reason for the weird hours but he seems relieved to be working regular hours again.

My grand daughter Bella evidently woke up coughing this morning at 2 AM and then started crying since she was coughing so hard that she felt like she couldn't breathe. However, a day of watching cartoons that had her laughing seems to have helped her body start the healing. She wasn't coughing very much after a while.

Thanks for the nudge, Connie... here it is... a fresh new chit chat thread for a fresh new month!

Lit my candles and lifted my prayers for a team Monday tradition before work. Thinking of you all and your service members... and all our service men and women around the globe!
