Hopeful news for endangered species:

House Democrats Advance Legislation to Undo Trump’s Attack on Endangered Species Act

It's just a step, but a hopeful one.

Direct from Extinction Rebellion's international newsletter:

In brighter news, we highlight the landmark victory in The Netherlands, where the Dutch Supreme Court has ruled that the government must act immediately to protect its citizens from the deadly effects of the climate crisis. While this success within the legal system is the first of its kind, it will hopefully not be the last, as other governments and courts wake up to the scale of the problem.

Thank you for starting this, my dearest. I will check them out. Love me some Byrne and glad he's doing this.

This is not a news source, but I wanted to let folks know that the Center for Biological Diversity is holding a call on Wednesday to kick off their new campaign, "Saving Life on Earth." It's a free web (or phone) call and I plan to check in and listen. Find out more and sign up here:

Speaking of Byrne and cheerfulness, here's the Brasilian Nazare Pereira with "Maculele" from Byrne's Belize Tropical (Brazil Classics Vol I):

Since 2016, I've been a subscriber to "Yes!" They also have a free online newsletter. We are in some terrifying dark ages. "Yes!" publishes stories from the small and local to the larger, successful and inspirational concerning climate, the environment, social justice, . . . Their stories bring hope and solutions www.yesmagazine.org/

David Byrne has begun an online only and free newsletter called "Reasons to be Cheerful." These are stories of specific solutions from all over the world. The idea is that someone else via the newsletter, will see a solution and see that it is just what they need in their community. A lot of these stories evolve from problems arising from climate change, but not all. reasonstobecheerful.world/

Being inundated with horrific news and communications, I find these two publications extremely valuable. I'm sure there are others and I would love to know about them.
